Here's some more tips: -Turn your elbows AND palms up at the top to get the hardest chest contraction. Like a scooping motion. You can try this right now without straps to see what I mean. - I prefer the bulgarian version of this where you flare your elbows out at the bottom to get the deepest stretch trying to get your chest deeper than the handles. Lots of research coming out atm saying the stretch portion of the lift creates the most hypertrophy. - Set the straps wide apart, this creates extra lateral tension when you bring the handles together at the top. This is where having a suspension trainer which has separate anchor points superior to a trx type which only has one. I do 60 seconds full ROM 30 second rest then 40 seconds long length partials working in that deep stretch zone.

I don't like TRX chest press (#1) because (the rough edges of) the straps rub against and damages the skin of the upper arms. I don't understand how others are doing it without that problem. That's why I avoid doing these.
Thanks, I'll try them. I don't really understand why the normal handles are not used, it's just 10 cm difference. As long as the straps are long enough and goes inside the arms. No gloves necessary.
