    Been detailing since 1981. I made more $ doing Weekly Maintenance then full blown Detailing. I like the fact your using a Vapor Steamer. Most guys on you tube still have no idea. Chemicals and scrubbing the interior. Ugh

      This is good advice i quoted a interior detail the guy said it had a “mildew smell” and he wanted a quick wipe down and ect idk what that really means, but i told him sir we are detailers not a car wash so i told him the start price is $150 for interior he said “ok” then he came the next day for his appointment well turns out the car didn’t just have a mildew smell it was mold on the seats and trash everywhere it need a deep interior cleaning i ended up telling him it would cost $220 in total i should of charge more, but I’ll learn from that. He went ahead with it got it cleaned and he liked it

    I yep all new clients that I need many hours to get the vehicle in great shape so it will cost a lot but then go on to tell them but after it's like new, I can go ahead and only charge them a fraction of the cost say 50 60$ to keep it clean and that I'll wash outside and clean inside vacuum etc, based on what it needs. so I can take 30 45 min to maintain it every week or two for the foreseeable future. x 50 clients. I'm doing well now and only cleaning vehicles that are pretty clean already.. its very easy and saves time to only concentrate on maintenence washes for existing clients with new vehicles. make it easy and simple. great videos. thnks

    I work for a guy who likes to "impress" new clients by cleaning their car a lil bit too much into detail and just to be nice hell remove paint scratches from some cars but i think its a bad move because the clients get used to it and refer others with the same deal they got and i dont see any profit being made from that.

    • @daltoncrawford4849
      @daltoncrawford4849 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah doing too much on a detail can shoot you in the foot, because if you just giving some services away for free just because you wanna go over and beyond the customer will already be happy with the interior looking better and the outside all shiny then word gets around like that what he’s done and he tells them “oh it’s gonna be this much for that “ then they will be like “but you did this for free for this customer “

    • @haythamthabit42
      @haythamthabit42 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To my understanding a maintenance client is a repeat customer that you see regularly, either every 2 weeks or a month etc, after you have done a full on detail for them, so your pretty much just keeping the car clean, and after every detail you do just ask them how often they want their car to be serviced by you and either post on your website your prices or give them a paper explaining the price and break down. Hope this helps!

And then some !. Be Consistent!!!! Don’t be late. Unless some one is dying 🤔. I have had the same Salons calling me 24/7 for yrs . While I’m doing Classic cars. For shows I had some one I could trust to do the Salons . Who ended up buying me out ! I got a routine I. The area for a 2 mile radius. Built it up for a yr. Then sold it or leased it out and made a % off the renters . I even got Toyota mini vans a Dodge mini vans with can fit in small parking lots and underground parking structure. Completely loaded with equipment. Ready to go . Made more Money renting the vans out on a daily basis. 🤑

    • @smitttty
      @smitttty 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@tommygunnz4205 my unprofessional opinion would be that customers dont mind. they understand you don't have everything yet. if they make a deal about it, shave off 10 bucks. it's like home pressure washing, you don't bring your own water tank it's kind of the non talked about agreement, they get it. now I would state that you need their water up front Incase they don't have an accessible spigot or if they use well water, which would be damaging to the vehicle. better they know before you get there than the unexpected cancellation. Just put your prices $10 higher so they think when you shave off $10 they're getting a deal, in reality that's your actual pricing.

    .. charge double what you normally do for new clients vehicles then after the detail suggest to them that you can come back every week or two weeks or monthly for a discounted price .."to keep their car looking like new" Almost every first client I've ever detailed for, immediately became maintenance clients. If you satisfy a client's requirements and do your job at an elite level, there's not much need for spending thousands of dollars on marketing. ..your clients are your marketing and refer you without a thought to everyone they know, and then those new clients will do the same and so on until you don't have the capacity to take on any more jobs or decide to hire and train employees. One does not need social media to gain clientele, it may speed up or improve the ability to acquire them but I the end it's easier and more effective to ask existing clients to refer you and in no time you'll have dozens of new appointments at no cost spent on marketing. maybe if you want to sell your own merchandise.. conclusion.. tell your customers up front what your v goal is , 2. do an excellent job. 3. aask them to tell everyone they know what a great job you did do they all book you for a detail and they do the same. no need to pay for things that cost nothing
