I have told people if the color or clear coat paint is applied correctly you do not ever need to sand, cut, buff!! When applied correctly and hand protection polish applied it must bring a show quality shine or it was "Not" applied CORRECTLY!!! You PROVED IT !! GREAT JOB !!! I am so happy that this channel is doing so well for you. I learn something new every time I watch you. I have been doing this since I was in highschool. I am 45 now. But you can never know everything. You do a great job with the explanations and you even add in what your thought process was while you are doing your craft

🥳🥳🥳CONGRATULATIONS on 5000 subs my Friend!! 🥳🥳🥳 Knew you could do it. I can see the momentum building, and now 10,000 is just around the corner. Better get the next hat on order now, so you have it when that 10,000 comes. 😉 😄😁😁 And just know that the appreciation goes both ways. WE definitely appreciate YOU too. Seriously. Thank you for all the knowledge, the laughs, and for being so chill and down to Earth. 🙏💪👍😉
bEacHcItY in the house, thank you man. I appreciate you for the support from the beginning. It does feel like it's been more than 13 months I tell you that. Probably because so many hours go into each video. And I'm constantly trying to make them even better for you guys. So it's all worth it when I see the feedback ♥️ Thank you again BCM 💪🏼🙏🏼
Just subscribed! I've been painting for 30 years now, I love watching people who do it exactly how they want to do it and it works. And also the commentary predicting the comments is brilliant 😂
Positive vibes. I like that. I was wondering when you were going to get a new hat. The only big job anxiety I get is not knowing when I’ll get to go home. Finished my second blackout package today.
Yea man. 5k next new hat is 10k might be another few years for that lol I've had those nights not sure when the hell you're gonna get home. Now it's 8-4 plus an hour lunch. Nooooo Stress 😬
You made me laugh. You said you got tired of that dented up truck. I get that since I get tired of every car I do by the time it is done. Great job of explaining the work. You are a smart and an exceptional painter. You rocked that paint job.
I started painting cars in 1987 and the first car I did was my Dad's car. It turned out pretty amazing for someone who never learned at an institute. I picked up a "how to spray paint and panel beat " book, read it from cover to cover then went to work. I did it mostly as a hobby for around 12 years then stopped but I'm about to get back into it after a long hiatus to restore my first car I bought way back in 1991. I still have the passion for it. Loved this stuff.
5000 subscribers brother, past the halfway mark to 10k! You earned every single subscriber. This channel has taught me so much as a DYI full out amateur. Every time I see you go, you always show that every job has its own approach and you have to make that plan of attack before you start. You deal with real everyday obstacles and show how you deal to get the job done. And… nobody got anything on you for the side entertainment value 😂😂😂. Seriously brother, congratulations, you work hard for everything you’ve got and I personally appreciate it! Respect ✊
Thank you man I really appreciate that. I try to be original, creative, entertaining yet make sure you walk away with something from every video. I'm glad the information is coming across and it's being absorbed.
@@thetriggerman954 Brother, personally the coolest and most practical trick I learnt from you was how to blend in a very tight area and using the clear base after putting down a coat of metallic base first (on a silver pickup truck you were doing). The experience that you pull out to get out of a jam or play with what you’ve got is the difference between botching something and having to start over or coming out in top. You keep it real and teach all of us that this is how it is and deal with it. I subscribed since the first month you’ve been up and watch every video and you’ve yet to disappoint. Keeping ‘em coming trigga✊
I like the swivel on my regulator. I learned that if I walk backwards the swivel will uncoil the hose. Just walk back until your hose is straight. Works great. Took awhile to get used to.
@@thetriggerman954 I have to do it until my hose is straight and tight. When I’m doing the inside of the cab on offshore I have to hold a coil in one hand and not drop it until I’m done. So I can put it in a hole lol Even when switching cups. They are rough!
Just discovered your channel today. Young man, you are a work of art in action. I had to remember to breathe watching you pain this truck. Your vibe is as clean as your work. Never did I think I would have like to learn to paint a car ( I've been painting as an artist on canvas for most of my life) but, seeing you work, struck me deeply. At my age, it's to late, but I feel you might be a great influencer for a younger generation to follow this career.

Yeah i was taught to listen to the gun also. My dad and his buddies never used gauges, but i do use them. Makes me feel like I'm being consistent with my pressures from job to job
I don’t understand why professional shops can’t do this. It’s like everything is done cheap but u see foreign cars are perfect just like your work. Also they correct any orange peel without sanding. I’ve mastered that now and am doing it with just denim pads which are like jeans but NOBODY talks about them or even knows about them. U a amazing and I would take u as a teacher

Would love to see you again with r500,maybe hit single stage with it this time...definitely best finishes i have seen are on this chanell, usually i see videos and as painter myself i learn nothing new but here man whole different thing, thanks for that sir!
You're welcome brother. I can hit some single stage with the r500 and I'm telling you right now you cannot achieve these results with that gun. Or any of the last few jobs I did with the LPH400. That gun is made more to allow you to work with a small compressor then get a straight glass finish.
I'm retired and enjoy your video's. You have good gun tecnique and it shows in your final product. I don't have any more complete's let in me but it's nice watching you.
18:5019:01 you do great work,, l just sprayed a 80 Bronco just as big,, looked perfect to my eyes, bought a sun light and instantly felt sick , l went through base and 3 clear coats then even knocked it down and did 2 more coats of flow coat and still didn't notice the light places the sun light showed me, knocked it down with 600 again and tomorrow I'm going again,, this can be a heart breaking profession..
Thank you George, man that is gut wrenching. I've had that happen early in my career. What it a silver/metallic? Those are notorious for that. I've lost My appetite plenty of days over that 🥹

Damn 8555 sprayed countless gallons of that. She looks slick! I’m with you been using my lph’s for over 10 years. They’re my workhorses. Even got a couple new in the box for back up. Even use one for primer. Got lph 80 for tiny touch ups. I just love em. Honestly I’ve been spraying clear for a while with the orange cap. Leaves a nice factory look. Every once in a blue moon I’ll bust out my gti millenium for nostalgia lol. Was the first “real” gun I ever bought. Damn a full respray on a crew cab truck…and black at that. All for some sings and dents. Man I hate jobs like that. That wore me out just watching you do it lol. I’d rather do a heavy hit in one spot any day. Not gonna lie though, for a full respray on a truck I might’ve busted out my Sagola 4600 1.3xl and knocked her out quick like. Love my lph’s but that’s a lot of real estate. But that ANI looked good. Good job 💪🏼
🤣 Yeah I hear you that 4600 is a cannon. Sometimes you just gotta run it right off the bottom of the panel 😂 And that ain’t no joke anybody painting for a while has at least tried! Yes, must have a spare lph at all times. I’d panic if I didn’t. Good job keep it up.
I just discovered your channel. You are a master painter man. Love your work. Could you do a few technical videos that explain gun set up, mixing tips etc ?? We yearn to the intricate knowledge more than just watching someone put paint down. Tips and tricks is where it's at.
Yes ! That’s how I learned from and old school cat upstate New York . Squeeze the hose w the left then spray till ya hear what ya like and bring the paint to the metal . I still think that’s the best way for 2 reasons . Ya always know where the hose is and it doesn’t get caught up on the tires and it’s away from the vehicle and 2 by not stoooing to adjust you just keep move n along ya make a lot less mistakes and more of an even job . I’m tell n ya guys practice that way and you will become a better painter PERIOD !!!! Great videos Trig Man !!!

Hi TriggerMan, just catching up on some of your videos, another fantastic job. If you don't mind me giving you a tip, if you place a tennis ball under the front of the wheel it will stop the air hose catching under the wheel and help cut down on kinking, you probably already know this but just thought i'd say
Actually I didn't know that until I made this video, few guys suggested it in the comments. Goes to show I'm still learning from you guys even after 28 years I'm still learning. Thank you for the Tip Dave I appreciate you man 🙏🏼🤎
Pro painter here, about that run on the hood. i noticed you have a habit of stalling near your edges on the hood and going faster in the middle. Switch those two around faster on edges slower in the middle. It will keep the middle of hood nice and flat and smooth and help minimize build and chances for runs on edges. The key is extending over the edge with material if your getting thinner paint on the edges. Do what Jon Kosmoski says. "I am a robot, i will be as consistenrnt and efficient as possible." Start from the bottom of one side of the truck walk the length. Move to hood start oneside and work passes all the way to the other then top back down working your way to the tail gate and then back again. Starting and ending on rear passenger side. Should help you get a nice consistent finish concentrate on the best way to maintain a consistent wet edge
Where can I watch your work? I would like to see how you do it. I'm new at painting and I would like to watch you in action. Thank you for your help. Always willing to learn from a pro painter like yourself. ❤

Remember you heard the new slogan hear FIRST!!! Another 🔥 job Triggerman as always and I agree that it’s always funny getting criticism from channels with no videos and 1 sub😂 Keep killing it 💯💪🏾
4sho man. I think any painter that really paints has equal respect for someone in the trade because we all know how challenging this trade can be. So anyone who criticizes another painter obviously is not a real painter and If he thinks he is a real painter he doesn't put up any videos because it's not a good painter. And remember "it's Just a spray gun, Now go have fun" 😁🏆💯
ANI makes impressive guns for the money! I have one of the lower lines (F1/N Super 1.8) I use for primer. Tough lil joker. Wish I would have bought a F160 while I was picking out a stash. Anyways... I need to practice shooting at higher pressures like you're doing when I want to get a flatter finish that needs no buffing.
Superb finish there Trigga!! the truck looks amazing so the customer should have a big grin on his/her face😁big congrats on the 5K subs bro I recon you will have that 10K ticking round this year🤞 I never thought of the ANI Skull when you asked us in your short vid on here I even forgot you had one so it was great to see it on the channel again, I like the digital gauge as I find them easier to see what with me being an old codger I find the analogue ones hard to use🧐I'm lucky enough to be able to use bar or psi gauges so it doesn't bother me, in fact I have both on different guns😎 Ok I better stop rambling so have a good day Mr Trigg!!👌🙏👍John UK
Thank you John. I've already took that sucker off and put my devilbiss gauge on. 🥳🥳 But yes the gun is nice it actually sprays base coat nice as well. Good all arounder. 10k by the end of the year would be awesome 🤔😲😁
I almost went with the ANI 200 Black when I switched from the Walcom gensi 360 light base, and 360 clear, and ego190 to the three DV1 guns. If I would have known the 200 skull came with the 3 different caps for doing base and clear i would have, ive heard its really good.
Congratulations 🔥🔥🔥 you're on fire👏🏽,what i want to know bro is if you sprayed the inside n how you blocked it off from fumes I have a truck to paint as well but I was studying to do it in parts, hood n door jambs, then outside but cab then tray as i don't have much space, plus i was thinking of removing the tray to get it the back as it's a colour change from white to blue but don't want all that work 😢 ,much love from Trini bwoy 🇹🇹
Thanks man. And of course it would work 🤷🏼♂️ but I'm so use to one hose if most likely drag the one hose right by the other hose and forget it there 😄
If it's in there I'll see it, been painting cars since the mid 70's! Not much I haven't seen before! I can tell 30 pounds from 70 pounds of pressure at the head of the gun! Pay attention to the sound and look how wide your pattern is and the thickness of you metal coming out!
Nice job Triggerman. This is my first time seeing you and I liked the commentary part you do throughout the video. So, I ("liked the video and subscribed") all at once, it was that good. Trigger, your spray pattern is different; however, the results are spectacular!!!
Nice work triggerman. I had to whip out my LPH and play with it after watching😁 Do you spray at 26psi to atomize your clear right or is it for speed? Reason I ask is Iwata specs it at 15-16psi and Ive talked to people that spray around that and others alot higher. I sprayed my clear at 18psi and it atomizes really good but its a low solids thin clear. If i crank it up around 25psi the fan gets bigger. Same atomization just bigger with more overspray. I have the 1.3mm tip and silver cap.
Thank you Marc appreciate it man. Yes the gun does atomize at lower PSI but that's not Max.there is atomization then there's optimal atomization depends on the materials with low solid clear coats I spray around 19 psi. This AM-Tech clear coat here I use is higher solids than the 4:1 so I up it a little. There are guys I know that spray it around 30 psi. I never have there are guys I know that do. So you just have to play with it and even Then it changes when you change material.
Thank you Nick, I used to do a lot of those motorcycle parts back in the days Good thing about those in charge big books for doing a bunch of little parts lol
Outstanding!!! Any tips on finding a good paint job without having to take out a 2nd mortgage? I have a 2003 Camry, white, that needs the hood repainted. Local shop wanted $900.0£. Too high for my fixed income. Any tips at all?

Thank you Keith I appreciate you my man. 🤙🏼♥️😎

@@thetriggerman954 I have to do it until my hose is straight and tight. When I’m doing the inside of the cab on offshore I have to hold a coil in one hand and not drop it until I’m done. So I can put it in a hole lol Even when switching cups. They are rough!

Yes ! That’s how I learned from and old school cat upstate New York . Squeeze the hose w the left then spray till ya hear what ya like and bring the paint to the metal . Yeah You don't really appreciate them as much until you leave that. Lol
Beautiful job! Im always amazed to watch you guys lay down paint like this with no runs!
Well I did have that little one on the hood 😭😭 thank you man. I appreciate ya 😎💪🏼
"I am a robot, i will be as consistenrnt and efficient as possible."
Start from the bottom of one side of the truck walk the length. Move to hood start oneside and work passes all the way to the other then top back down working your way to the tail gate and then back again. Starting and ending on rear passenger side.
Should help you get a nice consistent finish concentrate on the best way to maintain a consistent wet edge

Yes sir. More than welcome. Glad you enjoyed 🫡😎
I almost went with the ANI 200 Black when I switched from the Walcom gensi 360 light base, and 360 clear, and ego190 to the three DV1 guns. If I would have known the 200 skull came with the 3 different caps for doing base and clear i would have, ive heard its really good.
Yea 3 caps but the others aren't all that great in my opinion. The clear cap works good base better than the others.
The truck looks amazing.I think you did a great job
Thank you man. I appreciate it 💪🏼♥️
Congratulations 🔥🔥🔥 you're on fire👏🏽,what i want to know bro is if you sprayed the inside n how you blocked it off from fumes I have a truck to paint as well but I was studying to do it in parts, hood n door jambs, then outside but cab then tray as i don't have much space, plus i was thinking of removing the tray to get it the back as it's a colour change from white to blue but don't want all that work 😢 ,much love from Trini bwoy 🇹🇹
When doing it that way I like to take everything off the car. Doors, hood trunk. Take it apart paint it then put back together.

Blessings ♥️ have a great weekend. 🥳🥳
i have the ANI Black , its only gun ive used that lays it down smooth every time. same gun im told as the skull
Yes same gun. Glassy glass every time
That is some clean ass paint Trig. Wouldn't a dual hose setup work, one for each side?
True 😁 salute to the OG painter 🫡
Another beautiful job, Trig. Your prep work is as impeccable as possible and it shows.
So, is everything air dried or are you using IR?
Thank you Dave I appreciate it brother. Yes everything is air dried No heat, bake, infrared nothing. Just as simple and as old school as it gets.
Nice job Triggerman. This is my first time seeing you and I liked the commentary part you do throughout the video. So, I ("liked the video and subscribed") all at once, it was that good. Trigger, your spray pattern is different; however, the results are spectacular!!!
Thank you Carlos for watching And for subscribing. Glad you enjoyed. I guess it pays to be different 🤪
Looking clean again my man!! I had to do sum Harley Davidson parts today.. white and black
Thank you Nick, I used to do a lot of those motorcycle parts back in the days Good thing about those in charge big books for doing a bunch of little parts lol
@@thetriggerman954 they were for my boss' son.. little side job
@@nickross2423 ohh nice, side money is good money 💰🤑
@@thetriggerman954 yessir!!
Beautiful paint job Trigg.
Thank you sir 🤘🏼💪🏼
That black with clear looks beautiful!
Thank you sir 😊 she is a beauty 😍
Outstanding!!! Any tips on finding a good paint job without having to take out a 2nd mortgage? I have a 2003 Camry, white, that needs the hood repainted. Local shop wanted $900.0£. Too high for my fixed income. Any tips at all?
Maybe check Craigslist or OfferUp see if smaller shop is advertising. Smaller guys need the money and can do the same work for less
First time I watch your video ,I enjoy see you spraying and explaining everything,
New Sub 👍😎😁

My title or thumbnail may not always let you know that I'm going to do a paint correction sometimes it's just something I've slip in there as an added bonus.
