Haha thanks Antony. Ah there’s probably one or two, like when the cat goes to the toilet and temporarily stinks the van. But hey that’s the life we chose and life’s for living and not having too many regrets. We try to push the positivity. There’s too much of the other stuff in the world and on TH-cam. Hope you’re having a great Monday mate 🤙😎
Thanks Paul, we really appreciate your comment. It’s lovely to hear that we’re hitting the mark. We found so many people have helped us so we want to help others and share our knowledge. If there’s anything else you’d like us to share just let us know. Have a great Sunday 🤙😎
Great video guys. Aa full-timers who have been doing this 18 months, we totally get where you're coming from. We've had 3 false starts of heading into to Europe- but like you say - the UK is amazing. And personally don't think it's too hard to van life here. Just subscribed and looking forward to seeing more of your vids
Hey guys, welcome to the channel. The UK really does have so much to offer. Not saying Europe isn’t great but we’ll get there one day 🤗. We just want to share what we’ve learnt and showcase what the UK has to offer. Thanks for subscribing 🙏and we hope you’ve have a great Monday 😎. Happy travels guys 🤙
great video guys. i love the fact that you travel in an old van. most vanners on you tube seem to push the fact you need a new 50k van to be a vanlifer and your attitude to uk vanlife is so refreshing. keep up the great work looking forward to your next video already
Thanks Steve, we really appreciate your comment 🙏. The UK has so much to offer and we hope to showcase some of that in our vlogs 🤗. Hope you’re having a great Sunday mate 🤙😎
@@TristandKezall good and very quiet weekend on the site. I must admit we get a wee bit jealous when people come on site and tell us there travel plans. However staying put in one place suits us at the moment . Thanks Dave n Jo and Tam the mad springer!
Ah you can’t beat a bit of quiet 🤗. I think we get the same thing hearing about different peoples adventures. But we’re on our own path and that’s all you need to focus on. Love you guys have a springer, they look like they take themselves for a walk lol. Have a great evening guys 🤙😎
We had a van here in Tenerife and plan to do what you guys do so it's great watching your channel. Hopefully be there soon looking for an older van. It'd be lovely to meet up and chat when I get over.
Sounds very exciting 🤗🙌. Bet Tenerife is awesome. We are so happy that our channel is useful for you. Definitely, if we’re in the same place at the same time. When you thinking of getting over here and starting your journey of vanlife in the UK?
@IslandMusings awesome 🙌. Sounds like a plan. What vans have you got in mind and are you looking to travel the UK or Scotland specifically? Anything we can share or help with please just let us know 🤙
@@TristandKez The plan is to come over, maybe hang around in Yorkshire for a while as I have family & friends there and then on to Sunderland and look for vans up that way. Ideally a coach built 4 berth.
@IslandMusings Yorkshire countryside is stunning. We’ve only done a tiny amount of it but loved what we saw. We hope you find what you’re looking for and can hit the road asap 🙌
hi just subscribed ive messaged before must have forgot im old 🤣,your van and costs are really good compared with modern counterparts £100/150 just to plug up to computer to tell you what a good mechanic would find anyway regarding parts ive been waiting 9 months still no joy from main dealership now at a specialist for repair and the bill for a new part was more than your van ,ive been looking at the older vans for awhile as they are easier and cheaper to repair and parts can be sourced ,less to break, no fast speed ok for me just simpler mechanics which means less cost ,inside retro but well designed you got everything and better made tbh i think its more a case of do we use the facilities in the van and some changes are lighter in weight smaller and free up space to make the van your own ,good tip slow down and enjoy ,looks a great life tbh glad your enjoying it and gently rolling along cheers sam
Hey Sam, thanks for subscribing 🤙. Yes we’ve chatted about Talbots before 😎. With Talbot and older vehicles they do seem to be less faff than modern ones. Sorry to hear you’ve been waiting so long for a replacement part. 9 months is a long time 😳. As we mentioned Coastal Motorhomes are great for parts. Spoke to other Talbot owners on the road and they all go to the same place. Old Gertie packs so much in such a small space. Are you still looking at a Talbot Motorhome? Slower travel is for us at the moment. It may change one day but for now we just take each day as it comes and enjoy life. Got the sound of the sea and birds this morning, feeling blessed. Have an awesome day Sam and do let us know if you have any other questions on Talbots or anything else 😎🤙
@@TristandKez hi yes still looking at talbots ,thanks for heads up on parts ,for a 18 plate its ridiculous wait and still not done ,you wont have the same problems with the older vehicles as parts especially for talbot are fiat ducatto equivalents which are cheaper as a rule, but as you iron out the previous owners problems and using it the talbot is a great motor, you are blessed a great lifestyle enjoy sam
@samfletcher222 you’re welcome, they’re a great company and can be very helpful. Thanks Sam feeling very blessed this morning with where we’ve woken up. Have an awesome day 🤙
Great video again. Do you ever miss not having a bath or more space for clothes? How do you store all your clothes? I know you showed your wardrobe in the van video a while back.
Thanks Nicola 🙏. Clothes not so much tbh. Baths yes, I (Trist) love a good bath. But it’s an easy trade off for what we get to see and do. Me and baths will meet again one day 🤗😂
Do the traveling while you are young! I own a 34 ft motorhome in California . Since covid the campgrounds are hard to get into and the cost has skyrocketed! It’s an average of $100. to 130 for a night. And with the size of our RV it’s hard to get into some smaller camp grounds. Enjoy your life….you are blessed….
That’s exactly what we thought. Although at 40 we don’t feel so young 🤣. I’m sure we’ll look back and think differently. Wow that is a whopper of an RV 😎. I bet it’s amazing to travel in something that size. It seems prices have gone up everywhere. We did a video discussing the same thing as some campgrounds are silly prices over here. Don’t know what your plans are but we can recommend a few campsites that aren’t crazy prices if you need them. Thanks for the comments and the kindness and positivity. Hope you have an awesome day 🤙
I always wondered how van insurance increases when you are living full time in a van. I mean my current insurance for just having a van with x amount of milage and a few weeks abroad is around £900 PA. Would be interesting to know how it differs.
@@antonyevans3929 awesome you won’t regret it. I’d start with checking www.campinginthenewforest.com/campsites/. They have 11 sites. You can see all the different facilities and prices. Our favourite has been Roundhill but they have put the price up quite a bit from last year. Setthorns is mostly tree covered which is lovely. Bit pricier than most of the other sites. Then there’s longbeech which is the cheapest and adults only and Ocknell is across the road which is an old RAF base. All of the sites mentioned you can see a lot of different animals wondering around and most are close to woods and open space in the New Forest. Any other questions just let us know as we’re really getting to know the area 😎🤙
@@antonyevans3929 buzzing for you, don’t know if you’ve been before but the New Forest has become a new favourite of ours. It offers so much, complete peace, forests, open space, moors and a drive to the beach is always in order. Milford on Sea is a great spot too.
