    Glad you're liking it! 1700 Mi on my 2022 Backcountry and I absolutely love it. I enjoy the fact that I have no fear now to go off Trail into The Cattails and can hop back on the trail and enjoy the groomed trail riding as well!

    146 is where the money's at! I switch from a renegade to a Backcountry and I won't go back. I ride 80% trails with a 1.6I.C track and snow trackers. Things on rails🙂

    • @sledaddicz
      @sledaddicz  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's certainly an amazing and impressive sled. Everybody who I gave it to for a ride this year loved it and we all agree it's been the most fun and playful sled we have ridden to-date and is THE doo-it-all sled. Love the 1.6 146 as well as those DS2 skis. Doo nailed it with the BCX. We will have more videos on it coming soon. Cheers, Mike

    Coming off of an old arctic cat crossfire I really missed the adjustable bar height. Went with the skidoo adjustable riser on my xterrain. I think it’s a great feature for crossovers, i drop it on the trails when i want to hang on the bars through corners and bring it to the top off-trail for more leverage.

    • @sledaddicz
      @sledaddicz  ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolutely. The adjustable risers are a game changer and allow you to adjust to what you are doing. We just added one to the backcountry. Cheers, Jesse

  • @devonlethbridge
    @devonlethbridge ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I would actually give that shorter riser a chance. Looks like the 4.7" stock Doo riser. If you do try to go off trail, it's best to be in a knee bent stance. It give you more control using your body weight (legs) to transfer the sled side to side, vs a tall riser and only using your upper body.
    I'm 5'10" and I found that's a great height for me. 4." + the 1" rise from the bars.

    • @sledaddicz
      @sledaddicz  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Devon. I actually ended up putting on the adjustable Doo riser that goes from 4.5" to 6.5". That way I can have it both stock height or crank it up a bit based on feel. It's a really nice piece! Cheers, Mike

    Congrats on the Sled Mike that thing is sweet. I love the color!
    I am from the United States and ride the upper peninsula Michigan a lot and I was thinking next week to go up and ride from Sault Ste. Marie to Wawa, I tried calling a couple places and looked on the website at the trails, but is there anyway you could figure out a trail report or if that would be a good ride I just wanted to make sure the trails are in good shape and groomed any pointers how I could go about that? And how do I get a permit?

    • @sledaddicz
      @sledaddicz  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Jack! Thanks for reaching out. To find out what trails are open for riding, go to ofsc.evtrails.com - if the trail is green or yellow it is being groomed and available to ride, if it is red it is closed. To get a permit, you have to go to permits.ofsc.on.ca - make an account, and purchase the permit you need (they have multi day permits and season passes). Let me know if you have any other questions! Cheers, Jesse

    I believe they have a c motion rear skid like my 20 bcxrs which has tipped rails so she should feel like a shorter sled on the trails

  • @jonl2938
    @jonl2938 ปีที่แล้ว

    I do wish Ski-Doo would take the Polaris approach to track offerings. The Gade’s you just get a 1.25 Rip Saw or 1.25/1.5 Ice Ripper. Neither is very good off trail. An Ice Cobra and 1.5 Storm would be nice options for those of us that don’t want to buy 2 sleds. I know you can swap, but then you’re stuck with having to sell the take off track.
    Love the colour scheme on that BCX.

    • @sledaddicz
      @sledaddicz  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching and agree on the track options. Polaris does a pretty good job with customization for spring orders but I agree the Storm is probably the best all-around track option for those that can't have both types of sleds. Cheers, Mike

    Kinda bummed u didn't show the off trail portion of the video...just rode trail. I got 18 renegade backcountry and honestly i think its plenty of sled for what snow we ride in. Unless u take to the mountains it should be fine right out of the box for where u ride

    I have 14 renegade bc x 1"3/4 16"w I also have 18 renegade xrs 1"2/3 15"w ice cobra. The difference between the two tracks is very noticeable. That extra inch width does make difference. In the deep snow 16"w just gets on top where 15"w doesn't get up on top not as quick. On the trail the 16"w plain hooks up better, where 15"w is much faster at the top end. My 14 has about the same foot print as your bc x. I just wish ski-doo offer a 16 " w track 1"3/4 track . To me if you buy bc x 16"w track 2" lug then it is like buying summit and it isn't an idea track east of the rocky mtns. I would consider cutting qtr inch off the 2" lug to have that 16" w track just based off the 14 bc x I have. Just for you and everybody to think about.

    Mike strange question our season has been so bad here in NY if you only had time to do one trip in the next month or so where would you go keep in mind where 6 hrs from the border and we're not going to know our way around to much so day loops would probably be the most feasible thanks for any suggestions 👍👍👍

    • @sledaddicz
      @sledaddicz  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey buddy. Jesse here. Unfortunately we are getting brutally mild weather the next 10 days and most trails south of north bay (3.5 hrs north of Toronto) won't be optimal until we get more snow. But... the weather pattern is supposed to change late Feb into early March.. if thats the case and southern trails open up I would try bancroft or haliburton. Can stay and do day trips out of either. At the end of the day if you could only go to one place in Ontario for the rest of the season, go to Cochrane - but you knew that 😎

    Im riding the bcx, I will say my assault is a better more capable sled overall. Faster, and handles the trails much better. Polaris just has the front end sorted out, the doo is still darty. The fit and finish on the doo is still better though.
