Dear all, Just another head up regarding spam comments: These past days we had someone commenting and found out that this person was stealing another person's identity and copied a video. Now the real person suffered from cancer and was in the midst of her life and tragically passed away last month. She documented her journey here on TH-cam - the fact that someone stole this identity and now tricks people into donating money is beyond disgusting. We honestly can't believe what some people are capable of and want to make money with the suffering of others. Just think of what the family are going through. We reported this case to TH-cam today and hopefully the channel gets removed but just wanted to mention it as you have to be so careful these days, it's terrible. Much love. Kirsten & Joerg xx
How terrible, I just heard today of that poor Lady in Suffolk who was killed by intruders just for her purse. I hope they get caught, and also the TH-cam people too.
My father had a Morris traveller in the day. As a little girl, I loved it. Thought it was strange a car made of metal and wood. We would have day trips to North Yorkshire moors. Thank you for the video. It brings back memories of my family and all my dogs. X
I laughed out loud with you Kirsten! So much fun, I just love your videos. You take me to places I would have never known about except that you go and video them, and then share them with us. Thank You! :)
I never would have thought that you can rent a vintage car…..what an awesome experience! You both looked like you belonged in that gorgeous, old, wood-trimmed car, with your stylish English Country wardrobe. Kirsten, you had me laughing about your “Cheshire Cat smile”…so adorable. The UK really has an endless number of picturesque villages. I’m glad you’re having such a great time. It was a lovely day to share! Thank-you!🌸👏🤩
You two are the best: Going on a road trip in a vintage car. How cool is that? You look great driving it, both of you. I imagined Jörg's first vintage car drive would be the Aston Martin DB5, but nevertheless, this was so much fun. Complete with The House in the clouds. I don't know why, but the house reminds me of Dorothy's house in The wizard of Oz. 😄
Kirsten and Joerg always make me dream of the possibility of a world as it should be. I miss the island and my tiny little flat in Cambridge where I lived during my studies. Tomorrow it will be twenty-two years since I was last there. I wish I could see my beloved England again just one last time! I dream of the green hills covered with oxlips, bluebells and violets in spring. Memories... Thank you so much for your wonderful videos, they always bring me great joy! For twenty minutes I even forgot my pain. :-) I will ask God to send an angel to watch over you! Greetings from my dreary hospice room!
Dear Kirsten and Joerg, Thank you for all you do to brighten our days.. to enlighten our minds and warm our hearts!!❤️ What a wonderful adventure.. my husband and I smiled all through it.. the amazing buildings and the town.. the seaside and colorful beach huts.. your smile as you drove the beautiful blue antique car 🚙 You are so talented and such a special couple! ( love your orange vest by the way Kirsten!) 🥰
You are so right. Joerg looks like a natural in the vintage car. It was also priceless watching you give it a try. I hope you have "Cheshire Cat smile" level fun often this year. My husband and I go on similar "adventures" together in the US. We really enjoy each other's company like you two. THANK YOU SO MUCH for taking us with you throughout England and showing us such interesting landmarks like The House in the Clouds
I’m 2 min in and I had to stop bc I am laughing with Kirsten saying she was stressed in the vintage car. I’d feel the same, Kirsten! 😂 you two are the best! Ok, pushing the play button again 😊
Beautiful, lovely video, and so much fun! I truly enjoy going with you on these jaunts and I so appreciate the love & care you put into every single one. I think this one is my favorite. Best part? Kirsten grinning like a Cheshire cat! :)
This was marvellous! Joerg looked the part driving it and your giggles when driving were priceless! What a lovely road trip around Suffolk and the vintage car made it that much more special Always exciting to see where you will take us to tour and never disappointed with your choices! 💛
I subscribed last week (finally!) after watching your entire back catalogue. Each episode is beautifully filmed, well-researched, and so very enjoyable.
There are so many quaint and picturesque historic villages in the UK! The vintage car truly creates the impression of time travel and you're right - Joerg fits the part, he looks like he stepped right out of the past when he's driving around in a Morris Minor. Beautiful video. It was a feast for the eyes! Thank you so much Kirsten & Joerg!
Oh my goodness I learnt to drive in my Dad’s Morris Minor Traveller . I absolutely love Suffolk & southwold is so pretty with it’s beautiful beach . Thank you for sharing your travels
Your expression driving that car was priceless! There is nothing like a classic car. I never really learned how to drive stick shift. My legs were too short for our truck and my poor Dad (who was teaching me), was getting a tad bit over it.
Both of you having SO much fun and enthusiasm in this video just LIGHTED up the entire experience. EVERYTHING about this was so magical and delightful!
What a cool car...and a Woody, at that. Joerg got into that car as if it were made for him. I would have been like you, Kirsten, a bit nervous with teeth chattering. Always a joy experiencing new things with you both!!
Watching you drive down those lanes and roads in that vintage car brings to mind the theme song and images of "All creatures great and small" back in the day! To drive a classic car is on my bucket list-- in England in particular-- so historically romantic! Thank you both for a charming excursion. ❤
So enjoyed this video! One of the first cars I drove and not nearly in such good condition as this one. Joerg does suit the car very much! My ex-husband had several vintage cars over the years, although his first love was motorbikes. There was one occasion when I had to follow him tearing along on his bike, on very twisty roads and me with no power steering ... one of many adventures.
I think its Joerg's cravat that suits the car. I love the pink suffolk houses. That colour used to be made by mixing pigs blood with the paint, I think
A wonderful walk... Thank you, Kirsten and Joerg, for making this journey. What kind of nature, architecture... And your car is just a miracle... 👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌
This, was my DAD'S, CAR WHEN I WAS, A LITTLE GIRL... OH THE NOSTALGIC FEELING I GET WATCHING YOU... HUGE STEARING WHEEL... 😂😂😂REALLY WE ONLY WENT 40 MILE AN HOUR TOPS.. . 👍❤️🌈😅
What a wonderful road trip! Thank you for taking me to places that I would otherwise never get to see! And Kirsten, you smiling like a Cheshire Cat had me grinning ear to ear too!
Oh my goodness! I was so excited to see your new video. I wondered what your new adventure was. I absolutely love it. I’m sitting in my tiny cottage in upstate NY, dreaming of touring the English countryside. Thank you so much for taking me along. The vintage car is awesome! I especially loved seeing Kirsten give it a go. Joerg, I think a vintage car would be an exceptional birthday gift for Kirsten. Thank you again. So fun!!! Love you both.
That’s so lovely. My husband had a grey “Moggie” traveller when he first met. Oh, my, the weekends he spent on the bodywork and woodwork made me cry and grind my teeth!
Looks so much fun. The cottages and town looks lovely and the vintage car is so fasinating! Just love vintage things. Thank you once again for taking us along with you ... and Kristen, you have the most infectious laughter. 😃 Be blessed, the both of you. ❤❤
Back in the early sixties we had that car and it fitted 4 adults and 5 children taking us to our local beach Oxwich on the Gower Peninsula. We were like sardines but it was worth it as the beaches here are amazing, great times.
I remember seeing this house in the clouds on an episode of Escape to the country I do believe ! We are contemplating buying and restoring a 1958 dodge truck,,,,decisions ,decisions,,,,,we use to belong to an antique car club and we would go on a tour with our old cars once a month , it was so much fun !!!! I miss those days,,,enjoyed your tour very much ,,,Cherryl from Canada
Ha! What a great sight to see that classic old car on the road in the countryside. I love that you rented it for the fun of it. Your videos are so well done and bring so much joy to us. Thank you!
You really know you’re driving when you drive a vintage vehicle…..”Armstrong Steering “ not power steering! Great effort managing the clutch and accelerator in unison. The body roll; the wonky suspension; oh, the joys of my youth! Loved your video today….thank you so very much for sharing your wonderful experiences.😊
I love windmills too! When I was a child I saw the movie Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and the main characters lived in a windmill. I was around the age of the little girl Jemima in the movie and wanted to be her! What a fun car you drove in this video! We had similar ones in the US in the 60’s and they were nicknamed Woodies because of the wood paneling.
This made me laugh 😂 my dad had this car when I was a baby, he used to drive me about in this car at night to help out me to sleep . It could be temperamental too 😂 , breaking down and needing a push to get it started. Such a lovely video, thank you
So much fun to see the old vintage car which reminded me of my Mums old Morris Minor which had a timber floor and once we got bogged in a puddle so the water came up inside the car! We were only kids back in the 50’s era and thought it was funny but my poor Mum not so happy😂
Not only do you both provide us with such beautiful scenes and excellent narration, but the music is really wonderful. You take us away from the hustle and bustle and stresses of life! The vintage car is cool! God bless you both! It's most appreciated.
We had exactly the same car when I was a child. The whole family takeing trips up to the tea estate to visit my uncle who was superintendents there. Living here in Sri Lanka after retirement from living in Germany for 55 years. Before that I live and went to school in England!!

If only y'all had on your Downton Abbey attire while driving around town in that car. Cool! I love the grin on your face Kirsten while you're driving. ❤
This was a grin from ear to ear type video. From the beginning to the end nothing but simple pleasures and joy. Driving those old cars with no power steering or power brakes is definitely a challenge. How soft we’ve become! Haha. Thanks for a delightful time. Mary
Hello my Sweet friends, I enjoyed the road trip! Especially the car for it reminded me of the Woodie car. Not that I remember riding in one saw them in old movies of the 1940's. Be safe finish your lovely trip! Your friend across the pond! 🇺🇸
What larks! You made me laugh and reminded me of my beloved first car - a Mini 850. I adored it. The car suits you so much and could become a new companion in your beautiful films. Thankyou as always for taking us all with you!
My Father had a grey one - we had it for years and went all over the place in it. A neighbour had a black one and he kept it immaculate, washing and polishing it every Sunday. What memories 😊
I sometimes watch you and think you are old souls, other times you are so young and refreshing with your delightful observations in your travels and then your filming is so so talented, locations so enticing, accents and dimples so charming, that it just makes me just as happy as much as wanting to visit these locations! .. especially in the classic Morris Minor; so befitting the occasion and fun! Thank you!
Thank you so much Kirsten & Joerg, really lovely images of quintessential English countryside and villages! Hubby and I used to watch ‘Lovejoy’ TV series about an Antique Dealer and his antics back in the day all filmed in East Anglia! 👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏🙏😎😎😎😎
Loved the car and the adventure! You guys are hooked now, you'll have to by one. I miss the simplicity of the older cars and their unique style. Each car company took pride in creating a signature model. Now, many of the modern cars look like they came out of the same mold, with a different name stamped on them.
That vintage car suits your style, treat yourselves to one as you can see the sheer pleasure on your faces! You only live once👍 Beautiful and pleasant video to watch as always xx
