@Joel for gods sake it's not a spoiler, it's a remaster not a remake. If your really interested in it and you don't want spoilers just wait and avoid videos that are literally doing in depth comparisons
I am playing cod mw2 remastered for a long time. And when I saw this video, I am quite impressed from their improvements. Especially at 13:54. It is like victor is just a psychopath in original version. But in remastered, man this gives a feeling looking at him
The music is a very big problem in the remastered ... In some mission (cliffhanger, of their own accords..) we didn't hear the epic music of Lorne Balfe and Zimmer because of the weapon sound and other sound, it's very sad because they give more emotion to this mission ..
The new gun sounds feel too muted. I loved the way they cracked and echoed in the original. All in all, I like most of the improvements though, can't wait to play it on PC.
I always thought that mw2 had incredible sound effects. Weapons sounded soo crisp and metallic, just powerful and unique. The remastered sounds like mw3, a bit dull and it's hard to recognize the exact weapon. The AK sound makes me sad tbh.
The only thing I wish they leave alone was the snipers. The ads animations in MW2 were so smooth and that was part of the reason why everyone thought sniping looked so cool.
I wish they remastered Cod Modern Warfare 3, Cod World at war, and the Cod Black Ops Triology. I never had the chance to play in my ps3, now i had ps4 i wish to play it all.
11:13 I just really loved this slight "plopp" sound on this particular gun, giving it some character. The remake seems to focus a lot on technical refinements but less on smaller artistic details here and there - like the way more polygons sometimes don't make for a better character design as happens with the general here.
Eh, I think Shepherd looks better. The way he talks and acts implies that he's a grizzled veteran of the forces with more then a few years under his belt who's seen some stuff. That kind of seems something suitable for an old vet. I quite like the new design as it gives him that old, grizzled veteran look the original didn't quite have. Besides, he's a 3-star general, they're typically old anyway.
I always found the guns in the original mw2 to look amazing when you’re holding them. At the time that stood out to me, and the textures of fabrics. Like the fabric of Ghost’s clothes in the cutscene where he gets thrown into the pit with Roach
The gun sounds in the OG game sound way more iconic and interesting. While not realistic at all, they were different enough for you to remember and recognize each gun by the sound.
3:25 the MW2R makes Shepard look evil from the get go . While the original makes shepherd look trustworthy and on your side . Like when I always played that mission , Shepard look friendly and that he seemed sincere when he saw my character on the ground and then gave us that inspirational real life motto of the Army Rangers . As he pulls you up . The new model looks pissed all the time , no sincerity no friendless . It takes away from the inevitable event that takes place at Makarov estate
Cool detail at 5:22. The ranger returns fire aiming down sights. But the local forces behind him spray overhead which was Foley's main complaint at the beginning. EDIT. 13:23 The two rangers at the bottom right. The ranger on the left tells the guy recording to take the video in landscape mode.
No matter how many remastered games you're going to get nothing can change the very first and innocent impression you had while you initially played this game. That's why the original version will always be better and will always have a special place in our hearts.
6:38 That soldier with the chocolate bar wasn't removed. He's in the same mission as before (Team Player) only in a slightly different location. Once the shoot out across the bridge has ended, after going up the stairs but before mounting the MG, if you look directly in front of the stairs, there's the same guy sitting down enjoying his delicious chocolate bar.
4:28 that change is because they're 2 different models. The one of the original mw2 was the masada model, the one in mw2 remastered was the remington one.
The scope on the M14 EBR reflects the environment around you...the foreground and background changes focus depending on where you are looking while ADS. Great work on the remaster!

My boy Roach putting his hands on Shepard like “why?” 😭😭😭😭
@Joel for gods sake it's not a spoiler, it's a remaster not a remake. If your really interested in it and you don't want spoilers just wait and avoid videos that are literally doing in depth comparisons
AmidTheRuins he should play the original one. So eager to not get spoiled and hasn’t played the game.
Poor guy realized I was telling the truth lol

Roach: THATS MY ROUTER!
I am playing cod mw2 remastered for a long time. And when I saw this video, I am quite impressed from their improvements. Especially at 13:54. It is like victor is just a psychopath in original version. But in remastered, man this gives a feeling looking at him
Only complaint i have with the remaster is the ending sequence where the music isnt timed correctly
The music is a very big problem in the remastered ... In some mission (cliffhanger, of their own accords..) we didn't hear the epic music of Lorne Balfe and Zimmer because of the weapon sound and other sound, it's very sad because they give more emotion to this mission ..
I noticed it in loose ends, hopefully they fix it with some updates.
Something I don’t like about this remaster is that Shepherd LOOKS evil. You can tell he’s up to no good
No you can tell he has ptsd
he looks a lot more like a senior officer, and i love that. love his 'stache
OG Gen. Shepherd looks like an honorable man who was corrupted. New Shepherd looks like a cliche Hollywood villain.
@@jayzor1911 he looks better imo. looks like he has a lot more seniority, and his mustache looks awesome.
@@piyo744 that's probably you because you Frenchies can't grow one 😂
For Makarov, they forgot to mention that his eyes in the new one DON'T GROW TO THE SIZE OF FREAKING DINNERPLATES
The new gun sounds feel too muted. I loved the way they cracked and echoed in the original. All in all, I like most of the improvements though, can't wait to play it on PC.
Exactly
The new g18 sound is garbage. I like the click of the original
I think both are great. The original feels more nostalgic, but the remaster feels much better.
The remaster looks and sounds very good and impressive. Alot of care was put into this that's for sure.
Im surprised actually
that's infinity ward for ya

WTF It does not look impressive what the f you talking about. 11 years of graphical progress and still looks mediocre.
Seeing General Shepherd again. Getting flashbacks. Getting Angry
Dr. Loomis you obviously don’t understand
@@teeveekeewee2184 he's probly not a veteran like the rest of us are
@@BronzeFelix Exactly leave the noob to his own devices.
I wish they remastered Cod Modern Warfare 3, Cod World at war, and the Cod Black Ops Triology.
I never had the chance to play in my ps3, now i had ps4 i wish to play it all.
I'm so glad they added some bass to the gunshots. Previously, they sounded like they were all suppressed.
Agree.
Goddamn am I happy to see this. Ever since the remaster dropped all I've done is wait for your video. Keep it up my dude.
Original Shepherd: *Helps Allen get up
Remastered Shepherd: *Yeets Allen to the battlefield
12:55 a man is on his phone
he's recording
13:24, the additional soldier on the right making the other soldier fix his vertical recording to horizontal lmao
its the same soldier who says that the building is at 1 o'clock and asks if its the one on the left or right.
The guy eating the thing can be found againat the wall up the stair they moved him
I would have been pissed if you didn't include the cliffhanger scene ! LOL
They should of add the spec ops missions like the original...that's what I was looking forward to. But oh well
That would have been very cool... But hey, we got the remastered version of the best CoD!!!
perhaps in an update
10:49 : congrats, you didn’t fully insert the ACR Mag.
1:38 he is basically Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson
They got rid of the sound the FAL made while reloading, that’s quite upsetting tbh. Overall looks pretty well improved though
Same there was something almost pleasent about the sound it made lol
Glad I'm not the only one that noticed, its one of my favourite weapons on Mw2.
The original sounded completely garbage imo
The og fal sound so weak
FAL sound was the best and very caracteristic
General Shepard in remastered, look like Hitler.
Kinda yeah
a little, not really tho
Well he basically is Hitler, lol
When I first saw Shepherd in the remastered, I thought it was Hitler's actor from the 2004 Downfall film
looks like he is the real bad guy now
I’m just glad I can finally tell who the heck was talking during the humvee mission
Idk why, but I like how Shepherd looks in the original more, but Makarov looks way better in tbe remaster.
Also the guy on the left of Curb Stomper is frustrated cause he can't use his smartphone with his gloves so he misses the airstrike.
General Shepard looking older is kinda legit... A young general kinda looks odd
True🤔
It's not like he was that young in the OG
No matter how many remastered games you're going to get nothing can change the very first and innocent impression you had while you initially played this game. That's why the original version will always be better and will always have a special place in our hearts.
6:38 That soldier with the chocolate bar wasn't removed. He's in the same mission as before (Team Player) only in a slightly different location. Once the shoot out across the bridge has ended, after going up the stairs but before mounting the MG, if you look directly in front of the stairs, there's the same guy sitting down enjoying his delicious chocolate bar.
Its not a choco bar though its a MRE
I never noticed how creepy Makarov looked in the original in 2:58
Yeah, in the original he looked way more scarier. His eyes are bigger o_o
13:23 i love how the guy records the explosion.
1:10 - 1:42 Left: Stevie Wonder, Right: Ice Cube
Dudeeee that background music.... I have to cry now
4:28 that change is because they're 2 different models. The one of the original mw2 was the masada model, the one in mw2 remastered was the remington one.
Ok
So
I prefer the masada model please
The fact that sometimes I can’t tell what game I’m looking at just shows how ahead of its time mw2 was.
I've noticed that in the remaster the reflection on scopes changes as you move through the mission to closely resemble the area around you
The scope on the M14 EBR reflects the environment around you...the foreground and background changes focus depending on where you are looking while ADS. Great work on the remaster!
