@@Ramxie35agree but what did you expect? They got ambushed just like the old soap death but this time he died faster and can't even leave a final word before dead
In the OG Price treated Soap like a son which makes it even more impactful, And thinking Price's first words to Soap when he joined the SAS was "How'd a muppet like you pass selection" and his last being "I'm sorry" before Soap died in his arms made me remember all they've been through from CoD4 MW to MW3, R.I.P Soap and the rest of Task Force 141.
Makes me curious about how 2020s Yuri would play in the role of taking down Makarov. World War 3 is going to happen in MWIV, which they gotta flush out Makarov as a character. It felt rushed regarding his reintroduction.
There are so many things wrong with Soap's death in the 2023 version. First Makarov and a group of his men just come out of nowhere and take Soap and Price completely by surprise. Then Soap gets up in front of Makarov's men and stabs Makarov in the right side of his neck, but Makarov is somehow able to not only survive this, but also shrug it off, and then overpower and shoot Soap in the head with his right arm. Then it turns out while all of this was happening, Ghost and Gaz were just a few feet away and could've just shot Makarov while Soap and Price were on the ground. After all of this, Makarov just runs away as if he didn't just have a knife sticking out of his collarbone a few seconds ago.
No. It’s said literally at the beginning of the mission makarov and his men had taken over a train in the tunnel and had bombs planet, you were both making your way towards each other. Soap stabs makarov in the shoulder, not neck, and gaz and ghost arrive just seconds too late as makarov and his goons make their escape. It happens really fast, like in 6 seconds. By the skin of their teeth he got away
@@ZetsuboNoShima In this situation, the difference between neck and shoulder is minimal at best. Makarov isn't a massive guy. People with his physique don't just shrug off being stabbed in the upper/middle trapezius area like that. Suffering a laceration to the muscles in that area is a debilitating injury and would make it impossible for someone to move their upper arm or at least severely limit its movement, yet somehow Makarov was able to fight off Soap and shoot him with his right arm. Makarov was also stabbed with a 4-5 inch long blade, so he should've been bleeding profusely, we even see blood gush out of him when the knife goes in. Pain tolerance is one thing, but no matter much willpower someone has, they can't overcome damage to their motor functions. As for Gaz and Ghost's arrival, the crossover platform they were on was quite long. If you look at gameplay, you can see the bomb, which is where Makarov would've been standing completely in the open, from the entry point into the platform. You even shoot at Makarov's men standing around the bomb from the entry point before you actually enter the platform proper. For Gaz and Ghost to be literal feet away from Price the second Soap hits the floor from being shot in the head means that Gaz and Ghost would've been on the platform with everyone else or at the very least at the entry point when Soap and Price were on the ground before Soap gets up to stab Makarov. There are no obstructions between the entry point and the bomb, so Gaz and Ghost would've had a clear shot. Even if they didn't want to risk friendly fire, they could've just shot one of Makarov's men or even just fired warning shots, to get Makarov to shift his attention and probably flee because he's standing out in the open. It doesn't make sense for Gaz and Ghost to do nothing when they were clearly in a position to do something. It also doesn't make sense that Makarov didn't even seem to realize that they were approaching.
In the new version Soap died like a side character in the original version he died like he wrote the damn story because he actually did after he killed Zakhaev and he made a man that survived Gulag to cry and mourn his death like he lost his own son.
4:34 Most people don't realize the significance of this moment. The pistol that Price lays on Soap's chest is the same pistol that he slid over to Soap just as Imran Zakhaev was about to execute Price at the ending of MW!...It's the same pistol Soap returned to Captain Price when they rescued him from the Gulag in MW2! It's sad to think it probably ended up in the hands of some scumbag Russian after they stormed the position. Soap's body also stayed behind :(
Don't waste your time explaining, kids these days don't understand what call of duty used to be and why it was the most sold out games of their primes each year, the multiplayer was something but the story mode was worthy of hollywood not the trash we have now with 3h of a DMZ tutorial and sold for 70 bucks
MW3(2011)'s version of Soap' s death was better because it was unexpected, but MW3(2023)'s version was the completely unintended, unexpected. Bro died because of disarming a bomb, while the other got bombed
@@KooperMustom-xu3kmit makes no sense to have ghost and gaz and even price survive longer than soap in such a way. We don’t even have Ramirez, foley, Griggs, sandman + delta force, etc.
The only thing I didn't like about Soap's death is that in the new version, there was no emotion, sadness, regret, crying for Soap's death. He is simply shot in the forehead and those in front just stared. When they mourn him, they just remember how he was, that's all. I didn't feel much of a sense of loss in his death. In the old version, the fact that Price regrets his death, suffers, cries and tries not to let him go, makes you much more emotional. As if I wasn't saddened enough by his death, I felt even more sorry to see Price regretting it. No matter what I say, the old one is better 💔

I like 2011's scene because the game gives you this sense of impending doom that hits like a truck; you're fighting through endless waves of enemies to try and save a dead man walking, only to see just how bad it is once you lay him on the table. On the other hand, 2023's scene is interesting because it kind of leaves you...I guess, shell-shocked? It happens so fast, you hardly have time to process it until after you've dealt with the more pressing issue at hand.
It's funny that Gaz and Ghost literally did nothing to cover them as if they were just waiting for something big is about to happen. They just came out of nowhere. Most campaign of all time. 👏

@@TheMentallyTiredI agree, it was realistic, however, let's not forget that this game is supposed to be a "cinematic experience". Now tell me which one felt more cinematic...soap's death in 2011 or 2023? The game wasn't even realistic for 90% of it, where the characters one man army through the enemies. Meh. There was literally no significant reaction to his death in the new on other than that. It felt like they just threw in ghosts little pet name in there to illicit sadness from normies.
It's tearjerking because only Ghost calls him Johnny. He calls him Johnny in a playful manner, because he knew Soap hated it. It happened from the entirety of MW2 (2022) to MW3 (2023). I don't understand. Why in MWIII doesn't have a Revenge Mission to kill Makarov for Soap's death. That's the make us don't get it. This game instead end with Closing Credits. But in post-credit scene. We only watch Price assassinating Shepherd on cutscene. Not Makarov. Just like that. And the Price leave. And continue the closing credits.
The new one makes it feel like he kinda died for nothing. Obviously he protected Price, but still. I appreciate how they scattered his ashes in Scotland, that was a nice touch.
This feels like yuri's death but with soap. In 2011 you fought what seemed like endless waves of enemies while escorting a dying soap trying to save him but in 2023 he just gets shot in the face by makarvov just like yuri
It's a bit diffrent yuri in the original game walked up from a long distance after a devastating building through the gut injury and then managed to save price for a bit
Thing is Yuri sacrificed himself since he knew he wasn't gonna make it, he showed his loyalty to stopping Makarov. He finally went down after 2 shots, and you see his Character arc is finished with redeeming himself by putting his life on the line so Makarov could die.

@@weplo1597 the main problem is that IW was so scared of killing any character from mw2019 and mwii. alex should've never survived mw2019 and why would trained soldiers like soap and ghost not confirm graves' body? it just doesnt make any sense.

Makarov and soap plus yuri was suppose to be the final battle in the original.
The OG Mw3 had the emotion and music as well. Starting from the moment when SOAP and Yuri forcefully had to jump out of the building, which was surprising and shocking as well. I was shocked to think SOAP is gone. But I was glad to see him alive. On the way to the safehouse, i was thinking all his moments and how he survived Shepherd's stabbing and everything. But i also felt it's the end as i saw him getting lifeless and losing his life slowly while entering the safehouse. After his death, Price going back to MacMillan was even more emotional because it was about an old man seeking his revenge for his fallen comrade and companion.
What the remake lacks of are the intensity and tension that the predecessors had. At the time, CoD campaigns were so intense that we got dragged to what was happening around the world and how we made bonds with the characters; CoD campaigns now doesn't quite have that intense feeling we all felt because somehow we got disconnected to what is happening and not much bonds are made in the process of the campaigns. Also lack of Hans Zimmer soundtrack :)
Soap's death in 2011: OMG my brother in arms I knew you so well, you was such cool character I've spend a lot of years with you and now you leaving me im crying Soap's death in 2023: who the hell was that
I like the soap scene in the game released in 2011, the scene where we defend our best friend until they reach their destination, even though it's in vain, it really makes a very deep wound, while the 2023 one is more of a drama and makes us shocked.

The thing about the old one is that we assumed Soap was unstoppable. We played as him in the first game and in the second he got stabbed, ripped out the knife, and threw it at Shepherd. So by the time we got to the third the entire time during that mission I never thought he would actually die until he was on that table. In the new one (I’m refusing to play the campaign because I’m so mad at how short it is) we don’t have that same connection with him. Yeah he was awesome (and hot) in the second game but we didn’t know him in the first game so we already don’t have the same connection to him. Given how short this new game is I highly doubt we get much more of that connection. I’m just disappointed that they had a great template for an awesome story and they threw it all out the window for their greed.
2009: Soap injured by a Makarov's bomb trap and then died from his wounds beside his friend Price, giving him last word before his death on the battlefield. 2023: Soap got shot by Makarov, still beating Makarov whilst injured and then got shot to death in the head. You can tell Soap was never meant to die in the 2023 version This was definitely a last minute decision as the game was probably planned to be a DLC and not a whole game
OG modern warfare: You're fighting a cunning villain who uses deception and trickery to get the upper hand, the event catches you off guard in a manner that isn't contrived or unreasonable, the death is as unexpected as it is emotion wrecking. You couldn't have seen it coming, and it was at least moderately grounded in authenticity. Soap was a player character and companion that's been with you for all three of the games; you feel it with the emotional music score and all the subtle and not so subtle- *meaningful*- details in how the other characters deal with his death. Years later, you still feel the gravitas of that moment. new modern warfare: you're fighting a stereotypical OP action movie supervillain apparently who can just magically sneak up on you with a full squad of men and shrug off (what should be) a disabling stab wound into his right shoulder/collarbone to uno reverse card judo bullshit shoot Soap in the head. There's nowhere near the same level of reaction from other characters Soap's death is completely contrived and treated as cheap and easy shock value more than anything else. man, I could rip the new MW3's Soap death scene seven different new assholes if I had the time and consideration for being more articulate in just how terrible they did it. As is, I just don't care enough about the remake or the franchise to give more than enough of a shit to say much more than this, and to simply say it's god awful.
This is actual weight to the game and how to handle the death of a beloved character. OG MW3 knew how to give a main character a ceremonial death. New MW3 just had him die like a another NPC and give him a cheesy funeral with even more cheesy dialogue.
Price in the original MW3: There's a clocktower in Hereford, where the names of the dead are inscribed. We try to honor their deeds, even as there faces fade from our memory. Those memories are all that's left, when the bastards have taken everything else. Price in MW III: Mission acomplished, oh, and also there is one KIA, but honestly, who cares, LMAO.
The problem with modern warfare is that it is a whole new different game compared to OG MW Trilogy. If they didn't used characters and some plot elements from the original trilogy , i dont think anyone would be comparing it that much. I still like both versions. The feel of loss in 2011 version is immediate and intense while the feel of loss is created through the later cinematics and cutscenes. Apples and oranges.
The thing is og mw3 felt more impactful because in the original trilogy it was a nonstop massacre of main characters like soap, roach, gaz, ghost, etc. This campaign however only one main character died, the rest are ok (as for now), no risks taken, no high stakes and no emotion whatsoever, everything was just a snoozefest.
Thing is your right and your not in the orginal Modern warfare series we start with call of duty 4 the main 2 villains die and some of your troops, MW2 ghost, Roach, and TF141 along with general Shepherd die, private Allen and others, MW3 Yuri, soap, sandman and some of delta team, Makarov
The original is hard hitting and in your face. You have to process it as you are fighting for your life. The newer one is more subtle, yet sudden. More poetic. Like how life can hit in the blink of an eye and once that blink is over, everything has changed forever.
I feel like Soap's death in MW23 was just too early for that. But Soap's death in MW3 (2011) was surprisingly and emotionally well to show the story continuing in past 3 original Modern Warfares.
2009: "NOOOOOOOOOOOO! SOAAAAAAP!" *dramatic music and last breath* 2023: "One KIA" *Gets shot without any music and drama* Let's say - one is like an opera. And second - is like close to reality. Similar to ordinary days in PMC/Military during the war conflict. Is it bad? Up to you. But I like it. Or more like - I agree with this death concept. Well it won't be memorized like his previous death, but... At least you can feel it through his teammates who felt that loss.
Although 2009 Soap is more impactful, 2023's Soap is somewhat bittersweet. Both died tryna do good but 2023 gave him proper goodbye. RIP to one of the best

Arif, what was special about the original version was that the huge price was affected by the death of the soap, to the point that in the last mission of the game he said at the beginning, “This is for the soap.”
An interesting thing to note about the original, the mission up to Soap’s death almost mirror’s CoD4’s “One Shot, One Kill” mission, where Price had to snipe Zakhaev and escape carrying MacMillan. There, things despite the dire circumstances of the escape end up working out alright. Here though, things go south before you even take a shot as rather than being met with a target, you see an ally since game 1 strapped to a chair rigged with explosives, and despite Soap’s initial wound not seeming so bad, as the mission progresses you see his condition deteriorate. I love how all the original MW trilogy titles manage to find new ways to use missions they had setup before and play on what you expect in a clever way, instead of just either doing the exact same thing again or throwing everything interesting about the original idea out in a cheaper idea of subversion. Or to put it more succinctly, MW3’s campaign was a lot cooler than it got credit for.
i think the 2023 was more heavy because it came out of nowhere, it felt more real and soap just dropped cold on the floor, the 2011 one was way more theatrical so it didn't hit me as hard as this one did. Damn, Soap and Ghost was the best duo for me in this series, the next mw titles wont be the same without him.
@@PiinkkBunnyy16 i don't know, following all context from mwii It felt like ghost's reaction was as good as price in the og trilogy. @@xXFlameHaze92Xx yes and no. What happened is the same, someone prevents Makarov from shooting price in the face and gets shot, but i think that not only we created a sympath with this soap more than og Yuri, but in yuri's case there is the slow motion and even the Headshot is more like what you see in movies, is heroic, he is thrown backwards and shit, with soap the thing is just a quick tragedy, he gets shot and "turns off", like in real life, i think it had more shocking value, but thats just my opinion.
EVERYTHING about the new trilogy (except for MW19 which is great) is more theatrical than the original trilogy. The way he died in mw3 2023 is just dumb. In the original MW3 he falls off from a fucking building, you can feel price's despair because of his death, and his death has consequences and makes you want to kill Makarov so bad. In the new trilogy "oh he's dead whatever". I see what i mean with the fact that he just dies and "turns off" in an instant like many deaths in the last of us part 2, which gives it more shock value, but they could have done it way way better.
What makes the original MW3 so striking is how they drop a plot point that Makarov was associated with Yuri, then literally drop you into the action before that can really sink in. When you have the chance to really consider the information and believe Soap could survive, he succumbs to the wounds. Price leaving the 1911, the same pistol Soap returned back in MW2 with Soap's body also gives that personal touch since he was the last of the original SAS squad Price had.
At the end of the day they're soldiers, they had a job to do they knew what they were getting themselves into and that they might not come back. So naturally in the new one they were fairly emotionless, however by the tone of prices voice and the mood of the scene you can tell they all felt it. Where as in the old one they use visual emotion to get across the point. I personally preferer none, as i appreciated the reality of the new one, but also remember the old one which made me really feel his death. Edit: To anyone saying they did soap dirty and made him look like trash, well no sh**, to Makarov he was a piece of trash. Nothing but an obstacle in the way of his plan, one which needed to be thrown away like trash although he wasn't that. At least this time soap had a flighting chance and wasn't blown up from a distance.
The 2011 and 2023 version are awesome but for different reasons. 2011: More Hollywood style drama action approach. You feel you're in a Michael Bay film and Soap's death is far more emotionally heavy especially the way Price reacts to it. 2023: A very realistic and mature approach to how modern warfare is actually like and the way soldiers deal with grief of their fallen brothers is depicted very accurately with the real world. Price, Gaz, and Ghost give a very stoic reaction to Soap's passing because that's how real soldiers deal with death as they face it every day in battle. So so called lack of emotional response is less dramatic but more accurate to how soldiers process death in the real world. Both at 11/10s for me in their own way.
@@eyyowtf7159 I thought the story was really good tbh. I know a lot of people are giving it hate but I played the trilogy back in the day and the story in 2023 lives up to that legacy pretty well imo. And the approach has matured to be more accurate to soldiers and how they deal/react to war IRL
OG Soap has an entire mission dedicated to his death, you have to watch him slowly die out through the entire mission, trying to hopelessly save him, 2023 just dies forgetting he has a pistol.
In 2009s mw3 there's alot of build up with the friendship between these characters, as early as 2006, the man had excellent fruit killing skills😂.. i grew up seeing these guys go thru it all for 2 games until the only one left was price.. it was beautifully tragic story where every character felt like he had a purpose and role, even if minor to push the story foward.. its why i will always like the old school games. The fact that you don't have time to grieve and focus on the mission (in this case, an actual ticking bomb) goes to show how they stayed true to their gritty theme.
BS, If the game had real grit there would have been real stakes earlier and not shoed in at the end because they need someone to die to make Makarov look more threatening than he really is for MW4. Even Shepards death was out of left field and anticlimatic. They couldn't kill off anyone important till MW3 and who knows, he might magically appear in warzone for some BS reason.
They missed a perfect opportunity with the second attempt to use the words inscribed on the clocktower at Hereford 22 SAS HQ. "we are the pilgrims master, we will always go a little further. Soap’s death is literally so realistic. You’ve got no time to grieve because there’s still work to be done. Honestly that’s something I can respect. Few soldiers ever go out in epic ways.
I don't know where people are getting this narrative that Soap went out in an epic way. He's literal dead weight the entire time you and Price try to get him out. He begs you to leave him behind because even he knows how bad it is, then he dies on a random table in a random house in a random town. His death wasn't heroic, it just simply wasn't meaningless because he tells Price about Makarov and Yuri
@@jase276 Dawg when I said few soldiers ever go out in epic ways, I was saying that Soap's death was not even close to that whatsoever, which is what makes it realistic, and I was also referring to the 2023 version as well :)

To each their own, in past generation you were growing up with the character so you felt the impact of his death. In those newer games they focus more on showing you everything through Gaz’s perspective rather than Soap’s and still, it was hard to see one of the team members die like that😢
Modern MW isn't a cheesy bombastic action movie from the 90s like MW3, but they still needed to make Soap death more impactful and with bigger repercussions (or kill someone else for shock value). Like, cmon, even the slow and serious modern movies are still capable of making deaths feel heavy and hopeless. What the hell happened here?
It may not be cheesy but it's sure as hell boring af and lifeless. Don't you spend most of the time bumbling in warzone asset maps gunning down random waves of NPCs? The "story mode" blew. @@imtoolazyforaprofilepic4961
Realistic death, but from a narrative standpoint, there was no really stakes in the bigger picture(no the bomb wasn’t high stakes and what I mean is that it never felt high stakes to the player), no emotional build up, his death felt meaningless and as if he wasn’t a main role character, it just doesn’t sit well with the overarching story,
By the way it's also worth mentioning that soap was technically still injured because of the stab wound he got from general Shepherd and in the beginning of the MW3 they performed surgery (i think) which why you had protect him in the third mission but he wasn't at 100% because his wounds hasn't fully healed

- YES. 🙏🙏
By the skin of their teeth he got away
... and there's no suspense nor music for this.
copium
@@gaydonaldtrump Lol if you're gonna disagree, come prepared to back it up.

There's nowhere near the same level of reaction from other characters
Soap's death is completely contrived and treated as cheap and easy shock value more than anything else.

2011 had more emotions, 2023 was rushed

I'm not gonna compare the deaths but the funeral scene in the remake is beautiful. Saying to someone you love and respect is difficult
Like the one where ghost spreads soaps ashes in a goofy mask? That was the funniest scene
7:00 You see that little icon on the right side of the gun as it's firing? Makarov is wearing literal PLOT armor. 😂
i think the 2023 was more heavy because it came out of nowhere, it felt more real and soap just dropped cold on the floor, the 2011 one was way more theatrical so it didn't hit me as hard as this one did. Damn, Soap and Ghost was the best duo for me in this series, the next mw titles wont be the same without him.
I felt like 2023 ghost didnt have as much of a heartfelt reaction compared to 2011 price and soap.
dude, its literally the 2023 Yuri Death... just with Soap
@@PiinkkBunnyy16 i don't know, following all context from mwii It felt like ghost's reaction was as good as price in the og trilogy. Ghost didn't really care about team mates as the way he did after the bond created with soap in Mexico, dude was on his knees helpless lamenting what happened to Johnny, a thing that you wouldnt see from him before this bond.
Dude the music cutting right as Price punches Yuri makes the moment so tense.
In both timelines, the soap has been dropped
I like your opinion
Og Death felt like New Ghost hitted you will full force in face
New Death felt like getting shot 1 time in GTA
Both at 11/10s for me in their own way.
the new mw was not that good bro this whole game was a lazy mess
@@masturch33f66 I was talking about the story and writing. I didn't play the game, just watch this video in full because Im in it for the story
Stoic lol its called mehhh we got nothing to say because the writer is run out of idea
@@bamaboy2711 There’s nothing good about it, it’s just a fast and furious movie.
We got Ghost, and Gaz back but at what cost....
OG Soap has an entire mission dedicated to his death, you have to watch him slowly die out through the entire mission, trying to hopelessly save him, 2023 just dies forgetting he has a pistol.
Soap really can’t escape his cannon event🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
1:01 Kamarov:I'm sorry Price.
Makarov:Captain Price. Hell awaits you.
2011: 😢😢😭💔
2023: 🥱🥱😴😴😑😒
The OG one is history. But someone's gotta say it. What in the hell is that Stormtrooper aim after you've picked up Soap😂
OG he died with tragedy. New was died with honour.
From Price crying over Soap's coarpse to Price saying "One KIA"
he'll probably come back in season 1 with two christmas themed skins, for 20 dollars each of course.
thank you for being such a reliable source of fun and learning!
They were passion projects with alot of time put into it, now we just get yearly releases like their iPhones, no ambitious ideas just cut and copy paste elements and assets with new names slapped umder a nicely wrapped 70 dollar price tag..
“Why the hell does Makarov know you!!” **chemist warehouse ad**🤣
The pain on Ghost's voice....
it's kinda heartbreaking. He was the only one emotional, the others were dry as hell
I think it's kinda personal to Ghost, who is naturally more reserved and aloof. Gaz and Price just treat it as a normal fallen comrade but Ghost practically becomes brother in arms with Soap because of their solid relations
@@quakethedoombringer This. Literally the point of them being together in Mexico was to establish them as being much more well bonded than in the prior trilogy. Also makes me wonder if Soap's replacement in the next game is gonna be Roach.
@@HeyThisIsGale more likely to be Yuri. Yuri actually have proper relations with Makarov/TF141. Roach is just a player-insert character
Ghost may detest Yuri at first for obvious reason but will soften up
@@quakethedoombringer The only reason why I think Roach will be coming in, maybe along with Yuri even, is that the players are gonna wanna feel that insert again. You do bring up an excellent point, however.
OG Price: *Completely breaks down losing his brother in arms*
Reboot Price: Damn, that's rough, brother.
I like Barry Sloane's performance as Price, but at least put some emotion into it. Billy Murray went all out on his scene.
I can finally decide im droping this MW version..they kill soap like these.. ..they Clear dont understand how much importance soap mactavish to the players he was the OG ..
exactly, everyone who says its "realistic" doesnt understand the weight behind them. At the en of the day its fiction it doesnt need to be realistic.
The new Cod's soap death just doesn't feel the same, it's so cold and heartless
Keep in mind in the OG soap died at the end of the second act, in the reboot soap died literally right before the credits roll
It may be beyong that last blue mountain barred with snow, across that angry or shimmering sea." It's how many fallen SAS members are honoured during services.
4:05 shows how much hell Price was going through after Soap's death in MW3 2011 and if and when we get mw3 2011 remastered and we see this scene again, i'm gonna be bawling my eyes out again after witnessing soap's death again 😢
2011 soaps death took us by surprise almost as much as shepherd betrayal
you anticipate makarovs assassination, only for him to be 10 steps ahead, the damn sight of kamarov strapped to a chair with explosives, then makarovs damn chilling line "yuri my friend, you never should have came here", soap bleeding out, and the whole time you're thinking he's gonna live, but instead he dies leaving captain price with the truth of yuri.
but in mw2023? soap dies because they decide to make makarov a fkin superhuman who can fight two top physique elite soldiers after having an entire knife jammed into his throat.
alright then buddy.
John "Soap" Mactavish gone but never forgotten
2023 version was so fast and shocking and i think that was the realistic way for a death
yeah but not a single bit dramatic, he's just dead.. complete bullshit
yeah because cod is so realistic of course
@@andrewz4515Bruh, in reality you will rage, mad, sad, and confused if your buddy got killed instantly in front of you. Yep, not really realistic.
Not realistic, makarov would have got stabbed through his neck and died. Price would have been dead too
Realistic death, but from a narrative standpoint, there was no really stakes in the bigger picture(no the bomb wasn’t high stakes and what I mean is that it never felt high stakes to the player), no emotional build up, his death felt meaningless and as if he wasn’t a main role character, it just doesn’t sit well with the overarching story,
By the way it's also worth mentioning that soap was technically still injured because of the stab wound he got from general Shepherd and in the beginning of the MW3 they performed surgery (i think) which why you had protect him in the third mission but he wasn't at 100% because his wounds hasn't fully healed
See yall this is why I stopped following the plot for COD games they are a quantity over quality game like NBA 2k. Back then COD was a good mix of both which was awesome but now its meh.
