I went from no rope to the Crossrope and I couldn't be happier. It only took a couple sessions to get comfortable with it, and now I actually look forward to workouts like I never have before. No need for big expensive treadmills or ellipticals. I get intense, challenging, and FUN workouts any time or place I want. I honestly love it, highly recommended!

Air jumps are better than no jumps. I transitioned from a low cost rope to the lean set, and eventually to the heavy set. There’s a huge difference as you move up in weight. Now that I have multiple sets it’s really cool creating my own little HIIT routines or just jump using a heavier rope each day…do the thing, you got this!!!

I'm pretty new to jumping rope and I bought the Crossrope 'Get Lean' set because I figured if I spent that much money on ropes, I would definitely use them on a regular basis. And, with the 'safety net' of knowing that, if I didn't use them regularly, I could send them back within 60-days for a full refund. I am currently going through the JRDTV 90-Day Challenge and I am loving every minute. The ropes are superb and, when everything is taken into consideration, I consider it to be money well spent. Once I complete the 90-Day Challenge, I'll be buying the 'Get Strong' set. While this is irrelevant to this discussion, I'm 68 years old and I just love jumping rope, almost to the point of an obsession!

So as not to give a false impression of my fitness levels, I should say that, going through JRD90, I'm not moving to the next day, until I can complete the day precisely as Dan or Brandon has demonstrated; ie no pauses (other than for trips). So far, I repeated Day 2 twice and Day 3 four times, before moving on. I've just finished Day 5 for the first time and I imagine they'll be a few repeats on this day, also. So, JRD90 may well turn out to be JRD270, in my case. 😉But I'll get there!! 😃

Like -- rope length or how long does a crossrope last? Crossrope last a long time -- 6 months to well over a year depending on what surface you skip on and how frequent your sessions are.

I bought a $3 jump rope with bearings to try it again & it's as fun as I remember it being! Have been placing a decent amount of effort towards training my upper body as I rarely do any lifting but do want more options for my legs other than walking.

I am 100% sure that ball bearings do literally do nothing for your workout or the quality of your jump technique. They are just a gimmick to make more profit on each sale talking people with no clue into spending additional money. Unless you want to go for speed and speed alone, there is no reason for them whatsoever. Beaded ropes for freestyle and versatile jumping, heavy steel ropes for more upper body involvement and other than that you can just grab any rope and start skipping.

You get what you pay for. I have purchased $20 ropes both from Adidas and Nike. They are a nuisance because I had to constantly adjust them to my height and they would always tangle whenever I tried tricks.
These cross rope are top notch and damn well worth every penny. No tangles mess and never have to adjust. The detachable handles are the cherry on the cake for that next level of workout.
But hey, keep doing what's best for you.
