- Ark: Survival Evolved Electrophorus dino spotlight! Coming soon to Ark: Survival Evolved patch 255 - the Electrophorus. The Electrophorus or giant EEL to make things easier, is a giant tickle fish designed to ruin your gaming experience! Just joking! ...MAYBE! These early dino spotlights feature incomplete dinos that are only about 60% done, so don't panic! I meme about the giant eel being over powered because currently its zap effect has a massive AOE with a powerful stun effect that disables anything it touches! More about the eel:
Wild
Occupying a space in the low-to-middle end of the food chain, Electrophorus beluadomito is a carnivorous swimmer that feeds mostly off of shellfish and small fish. Despite its common name, it is actually a very long knifefish, and not an eel. It does not provide much meat, so many predators simply leave it be. Unlike most predators, it does not use brute strength to bring down its prey, but instead releases an electrical charge around itself to knock its prey unconscious. Alone, this can take out a small creature. When attacking together, Electrophorus can even bring down the larger ocean lifeforms, then feed as a group.
Domesticated
By far, the most common use of Electrophorus is to subdue large ocean creatures. Knocking out a Plesiosaur or other giant deep-sea leviathan can be incredibly difficult, thus many tribes employ small schools of Electrophorus to shock targets into submission!

Wouldn't the counter to the eels be the whale? The Basilo is immune to the jellyfish shock attack, it only stands to reason that its immune to the eels as well.

Like how no one bring's up that the Basilosaurus is immune to the shock damage and can just easily go up and nom them all up. They are the counter :P They are also good to tame them, sense you just go up, let them discharg then passive tame. So.. yeah.. there not as OP as one may think.

Honestly, not sure why they do it. It might raise their views per video, but it cost's them a ton in the like - dislike ratio. Of course, it could also be purely satirical, which is what I've come to believe thus far. Regardless, I think their content (specifically Zombo's style) is quite cringey to begin with so it fits well.

Ark = normal map
Scorched earth = dessert world
Sunken earth = water world

I once rode my Baryonyx into an underwater cave. After spin attacking my way through a horde of megalos and mosasaurus I reached a chamber of air within the cave. As I approached the shore of the I was immediately electrocuted by a school of electrophorus that had perfectly hidden themselves under the water of the shore's edge. Before I could react I was stunned, knocked off my Baryonyx who was also stunned and unable to be mounted in time. I was shocked to death in seconds and only 5 minutes after respawning I received that heartbreaking message we all know, "Your Krookadile - Lvl 98 (Baryonyx) was killed by Electrophorus - Lvl 124!"
Rest in Peace Krookadile. You were the realist ✊️😔

thank goodness we have basilosaurus. Probably the best mount for taming an electrophorus Im guessing. It cant be stunned, and is fast and heals really well.

How about making it so that it can only effect to stun creatures and after doing this it can't move for a second or so. The attack could just do no damage, be less effect against large creatures and use large amounts of stamina.
Also how about the new dino the Basiloasauraus is immune to its effects?
