The Wagner Paint Crew is a piston pump sprayer with the performance of a contractor sprayer yet designed for the homeowner. The paint crew uses standard reversible spray tips and comes complete with hose, tip and metal spray gun. Watch this video - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต
I have used this unit to reno 3 houses. I am an amateur painter, but I come out with a professional job with this. I made some mistakes in the beginning, priming, ect.
The key is the viscosity of the paint and your settings. I used it to stain a very large outdoor shed and it worked awesome !!
Thinning the thicker paints, especially primer is the key here folks.
3 total houses, priming and painting, saved me tons of time and only a little
As I said, 3 complete houses !! totally gutted. I primed
i'm a professional, and 30 years of experience has made me wary of Wagner sprayers, i love this machine and of over a dozen sprayers i have, this gets the most use...
You can use common houshold oil. Such as 3 In One Oil.
i can tell you here in about a hour bought mine like 3 years ago gonna try painting deck
It jams, a lot but it is all about the tips. If you get the consistency of the paint right and know when to reverse the tip to clear you can get it to run for a while without jamming. Takes a lot of patience.
Maintenance home repair I used to work for housing authority of Joliet look it up on TH-cam and you will see it thank you
is the paintcrew better than the procoat??
Sorry that you had issues.
For clogging you can strain the paint with a nylon or cheese cloth. Also check with the manufacture of the paint to see what they recommend for a tip and filter size when using an airless sprayer. The maximum tip size that the Paint Crew can support is .015 so if the paint manufacture recommends a larger tip size than you will need to thin the paint. Call 1-800-328-8251 if you have more questions.
What is "the appropriate cleaning solution", using latex paint??? Thanks!
@yongkiongw . sure they can, might want to cut the stock a bit (thin it 10%)
Can you use oil base paints in this unit?
Yes. The Paint Crew holds up to 2 gallons of paint, but you can put less paint in.
Use warm soapy water for latex paints and mineral spirits for oil based paints
@pierre2740 i'm a pro painter/artist of 40 yrs, and i love the little thing. i have a large Grayco also, but the Wagner can handle most jobs i throw @ it. i just get a new (reconditioned) unit for $100.oo if i have any problems. have three now, and just ordered another. they pay for themselves in a day. can't rebuild the guns tho, but they're well worth the dough
My inlet valve (check valve) has failed. It doesn't close completely which is necessary for the system to work. I haven't been able to find a replacement at any of the retailers (Home Depot etc.). Does Wagner have parts suppliers or outlets in Canada? I'm in the middle of a project - of course.
whats the difference between PaintCrew PF20 and this model?
muchas gracias exelente descripcióny informacion.
¡Gracias por ver!
Can i use small amounts of paint in this, i often do small bits that only need 0.5Lts of paint.
I have a paintcrew and have a damage, but here in Greece, the official partner said to me that they don't have parts for the paintcrew
was the paint too thick? you might need to thin it out.
I had this same one and it didnt last very long.
I had the exact same issue as snipeyodadda. Help!! thanks..
Hi people I am thinking of buying one of these to do all sorts of jobs therefore just wondered how versatile they are in regards to changing the fan pattern size and also the paint feed amount coming out, it may sound a silly question but do you know if these can be changed as they all look to spray the same on the videos I have seen?
The spray tip size that you use will be what determines the spray pattern size and the volume. Smaller and larger spray tips with varying fan pattern sizes are available for use.
I have a paint crew that works great with emulsion & fence paints.
I now need to paint my rough rendered bungalow with sandtex smooth masonry paint.
can i use the paint crew? if so what spray tip & filter should I use?
Brian
The Paint Crew can spray water and oil-based materials that clean up with soap and water or mineral spirits, and that also can be sprayed through a .015" orifice or smaller. Keeping this in mind, you will need to contact the manufacturer of the paint for the filter and tip specs that material recommends. However, the name of that material does make it sound to me like it may have a solid component to it, which will not be able to be sprayed through this unit.
thanks
I have this sprayer and i like this. I see in other brands that they have option for lubrication of piston with oil every day when use . But Wagner Paint Crew haven't this option. Is this normal?
Иван Иванов, I'm unsure as to what you mean by having the option, as the Paint Crew needs to be lubricated just like any other sprayer. You will want to pour a light lubricating oil onto the top of the inlet valve and then turn on the pump to cycle it through after cleaning.
Where do I find filter?
what cleaning solution
You will either need an extension, or a ladder tall enough that would allow you to hold the gun between 10" - 12" from the ceiling while spryaing.
What cleaning solution do you use to clean out a paint crew sprayer
all airless sprays have reversible tips. And you can leave paint in an airless spray for a week, as long as its sealed up correctly. You can use a wagner gun on a graco spray and vice verca. Wagner vs graco there is no difference and alot of the times its the same spray just with different plastics on it.

I need to fix muy sprayer gun trigger, does not release,I think something is broken inside, Like the think holding the ball,,,where can I find that parte?
Thank you.
I bought one of these about 3 yrs ago always cleaned after use now it will not prime any suggestions? ??
I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with your Paint Crew. One of the most common things that can cause those units to not prime after use is if the inlet valve is sticking a bit. The easiest way to get the unit working again will be to "force prime" it. This can be done by filling the hopper, turning the unit on in 'prime', and then repeatedly pushing down on the filter at the bottom of the hopper; it has a tab that sticks up in the middle of it that you can grab onto to do this. That process will force the inlet valve open and allow material to fill the pump, and after a minute or so of this you should see the unit start priming like normal.
Pump works, prime switch does not, very little pressure to make it to the gun. Possible solutions?
Hello Joseph, we are sorry to hear about this and would love for you to chat with our customer service team for possible solutions. Could you please give them a call at 1-800-328-8251?
the whole house and painted the whole house. The agitator thingy wears out quick, but I bought spares. I little light oil helps too....READ the manual ppl and you won't be dissappointed
There is no difference other than color. PF20 was sold at a specific retailer and they required a certain color look and design than other models sold at other retail stores
As long as it is within the recommended tip size of the sprayer (.015) it will work
We would caution against using this unit with Plastidip. First of all it is not a fine finish sprayer which most people who spray Plastidip would prefer. However, more importantly this unit cannot be used with materials that have a flashpoint below 70 degrees, such as Plastidip. If materials with low flashpionts are used, you run the risk of igniting the material and machine.
Is this a motor that has exhaust fumes
No, this is an electric paint sprayer so there isn't gas exhaust fumes.
i've been using this unit for over 5 years now, i have 2 other units also. Its one of the most solid tools i've ever bought. I've rebuilt it once just because i felt obligated to do so i'd used it too much. It has never missed a beat. i mainly use it for cornice and inside wardrobes. I couldnt recommend this product highly enough. The paint crew PLUS, now that thing really is a pile of shit, the one that looks like a vacuum
can i use this with plastidip
Christian Ortiz don't bother... Plastidip is really thin and for the money just buy a cheap Hvlp sprayer...
How mùçh is it
The upgraded model is the Control Pro 130 sprayer and it retails for around $260. Thank you! www.wagnerspraytech.com/products/paint-sprayers/pro-130-hea/

It is not priming. Switch over to prime, and push the screen (inlet valve) or remove the screen, until paint is running through the tube. Call Wagner Tech Service if you have more issues 1-800-328-8251
I bought one of these and it doesn't have a pressure gauge. It sprayed out at full blast and there was no way to turn down the pressure. I also cleaned the spray tip and the gun but that didn't make a differnece. I also had to thin out the paint with 2 parts paint to 1 part water to make it spray. Its and piece of junk and I wouldn't recomend it to others.
This model doesn't have a pressure dial, but our other High Efficiency Airless models do have one. Please give us a call at 1-800-328-8251 and we'd be happy to assist you.

mite as well rent a professional unit...as often as you would use it.takes hours to clean
i wonder how they make any money
i know of 3 pro painters that tried them and returned them .
make sure you buy off amazon so its easy to get a refund
It seems like all demonstrations of paint sprayers use dangerous ,health hazardous practices,They Never Show The Painter Using A Respirator ! Red Flag, your not supposed to breath that stuff
Lovely video?! Mine won't prime, tired of Billy Bob bullshit vids fixing everything but the unit not priming... Ughhhhhhhh
Wagner should be ASHAMED of releasing this product. Extreme requirements for cleaning with every use. Clogs easily. Extended my paint job time by 2X. I could have rolled it faster and better by hand. Can't handle heavier paints. Piece of shit. Never another Wagner product.
thanks for the heads up
Awful video quality. Had to quit watching after the first 37 seconds.
This is an older video for an old product so we apologize for the video quality. If you are looking for a paint sprayer for large projects, please check out our newer series: www.wagnerspraytech.com/product-series/control-pro-series/
