Woodturning: Large Ash hollow form using Hope Easy Hollower.

A large and heavy green Ash log called out for some more testing out of the Hope Easy Hollower.
The planned shape and finishing of the form changed a lot though as it was turned due to heavy cracking.
In the end, it got carved, pyro'd, ebonised and then coloured with Rustina's copper oxidising paint from Axminster and Jo Sonja's iridescent paints
The 'Sultans Hat' form and material look finish emerged on the hoof!

Many thanks for watching! I have kind of grown to like it: but I am expecting others to hate it! Raising it on a pedestal and adding the coloured finial helped. That was the 2nd finial by the way as the first (more traditional 'Drozda' onion style) looked very wrong.
