    Brilliant! I'm building one over the winter. I'm curious, what are the dimensions of the tool handle?

      Hi Micheal, sorry for the slow response. Handle dimensions are 40 x 55 x 760mm.

    Not only a nice job but well done on creating your own hollowing jig. Just one question - does a stabiliser system like your jig really make that much of a difference? I ask because deep hollowing causes me some anxiety and I also find it quite knackering. Of course the anxiety and the fatigue could well be related!!

    • @MartinWoodhead
      @MartinWoodhead 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Ray. It sounds like you need one! The captive bar system takes away the stress of hollowing, particularly on larger pieces than this! 😊

    As a none wood turner I am intrigue to know why you needed such a long handle. So long you built a support❓

    • @MartinWoodhead
      @MartinWoodhead 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It would be very difficult for me to explain but basically there is a large overhang at the cutting end which creates a lot of torque so you need a long lever to counter that force. Thanks for watching.
