I enjoy it more when you are giving some commentary while you're working, as opposed to just watching the work. All the little tips like watch how deep you cut with your knife, watching for nail spots when cutting a shingle out, when to use caulk and what kind of caulk/material to use are really helpfull. More tips the better! Other info that I think would be helpful is a bit more on why your are replacing/repairing what your are working on - what failed, why it failed, what to look for ect. Also how you got the call to the job - tells homeowners what to look for/when they should call a roofer to check something out. I'm a small contractor who came across your channel while searching for some roofing tips for a small repair. Its great finding someone who takes the job seriously, doesn't cut corners and does things right
Hi Peter, thank you for the feedback! I really appreciate getting feedback, it does give me ideas I have not thought of before thank you! @@GrandRoofingInc Peter Thomas nailed it🔨 fast forward is cool when you're doing something you've already explained, but definitely break in to explain things that someone else might not see as obvious. 👍🏼
I do not seal under bottom downside of the flange so that if water does get under flange, it will exit out of the downside edge. If that underside is caulked, the water will get trapped and wick-up and under shingle. Just my 2-cents.

One thing for the DIY person is to outline the area of work in chalk as you remove the shingles/nails. That way, when the job is done, you double check the strips/shingles where you were. Chalk will wash off so there isn't any writing left after the next rain storm.

Me personally I don’t like watching the super short videos 3-5 min or less I prefer the longer videos 15+ at least 10
What kind of hammer.
That chimney to the right looks like its flashing goes underneath the shingles. Surprised you did not fix that.
TH-cam keeps making changes to how things work. When I like👍🏼 a video, it doesn't highlight in blue until I leave and then return again. 🤔 so if I tap that like button an even number of times, does it unlike it?
Yes doesn't matter how many times you hit it, if you end on an even number of times it will not be blue. TH-cam did crash last night though, that may have been the problem.
You could have just put a Perma boot over the existing pipe
No loosening shingles and been done in 5 minutes
Perma boots sold in Amazon at Lowes to name a few retailers
👍👍👍👍👍
I just finished watching the installation video by the manufacturer for that flashing and they said not to nail the bottom where the nail heads will be exposed to weather. My roof flashing had nail heads exposed, rusted out, and leaking water on to the deck because some “know it all” did not follow the manufacturer’s installation instructions.
What’s your go to shoe for the roof’s.
Just regular cheap tennis shoes unless it's a 10 or steeper than I use cougar paws.
This is the only one I have watched.
Normal speed is ok
We dock people with no tools in there belt
I’m just fucking with ya by way lmao
