Ultimate Gohan would stomp Kid Buu into the ground. He's stronger than SS3 and doesn't have the stamina and energy weaknesses that SS3 possesses. Kid Buu dies. Very quickly too.

@Martin Ramirez so I did some studying and mystic is multiplyer of 250 so no gohan is not weaker than ssj or ssj2 goku he far surpasses both hes only weaker than ssj3 in power but stamina wise he beats ssj ssj2 and ssj3 with stamina I also did some studying on kid buu and he was simply toying around with everyone and what they mean by dangerous is he does not have fun and play around u could see than by when he blasted the earth to bits without hesitation so yes goku and gohan are weaker than kid buu if put together combined so he is far stronger than ssj2 goku hes like 2 super saiyans 2 and 1 super saiyan dombined as in a ssj3 its 4 super saiyan 2s and dont say gohan is weak he isn't hes still very powerful just not at strong as goku hes just way cooler and more badass then goku not stronger in power and I did studying on kid buu aswell and it was stated that he was heavily suppressed while fighting ssj3 goku so neither of them would stand a chance and the reason why super buu was upset when they were ripping out buu from the inside of his body is because he simply didnt remember his time as kid buu and thought hed become so much weaker that's my explanation to you guys so yes you are right Martin goku is stronger than gohan when goku is ssj3 and gohan is mystic mystic gohan is 2 super saiyan 2s and 1 super saiyan witch means a multiplyer of 250 while goku is 4 ssj2s witch is a multiplyer of 400 so no goku in his ssj is not stronger than mystic nor is his ssj2 stronger than mystic its just way stronger than ssj2 and gotenks ssj3 I would have to put gotenks ssj3 atleast on vegeta ssj2s level or higher anyways that's my explanation

That's something that always annoyed me how stupid Goku was. Gohan was easily destroying super Buu, he could of easily beat kid buu. Gohan was stronger than SSJ3 Goku. The only explanation I can think of is Goku didn't want to leave because Buu would just follow them since he also knew IT and could just destroy more planets on the way. Buu also could of destroyed the sacred world of the Kais if they left him even for a few seconds just to get Gohan. The problem with that explanation is Shin/kibito ALSO knew IT and could of just teleported Gohan to them.

Bruh, I grew up watching dbz and even as a 7 year old, I knew that it made no sense. I knew that Kid Buu was nowhere near the strongest. It shocking that people still to this day are still blindly going with what was said in the anime without using their own common sense. Literally SSJ3 Goku without any zenkai boost or training was fighting Kid Buu on pretty much equal terms and yet not to long ago was getting toyed around with by buuhan and buutenks.
Gohan would definitely vaporize Buu. He’d have Goku & Vegeta there telling him to finish the job.
Ok but you are not considering 2 things:
1_ If Goku had trained his ssj3 form at full power he would have became a lot stronger since he would have learned how to manage the transformation and masterize it, also it is pretty clear that Buu was hiding most of his power since he never took the fight too seriously till the end.
2_Kid bu was holding back a GENKIDAMA SSJ1 Goku with full health since he had to use ssj2, that's enough of a feat to state that FP ssj3 Goku couldn't have vaporised KB.
So i think he would have at least defeated Ultimate Gohan with raw durability and DC.

Gotenks is overhyped and goku made a fatal miscalculation about his power which he CORRECTED BUT PEOPLE IGNORE. we know super buu is either the same strength or the very slightest stronger than fat buu due to again statements from the manga and guides. Also, if Goku in SSJ3 could hold off kid buu, and ultimate gohan was stronger than SSJ3 goku, then he would likely obliterate buu, or, just slap him to Derek's scenario. Where they think of a finishing move, and gohan just slaps buu in the mean time. If it was drawn out to maybe a couple hours, then I would agree with gohan losing, Although, saiyans do become stronger as they fight. So the longer the fight goes, Gohan might be at a stalemate in power, being more fatigued, yet getting more powerful, which would cancel it out. An example would be Goku vs Caulifia and Kale, Not sure if I spelled the first one right. But, in that fight, goku was heavily fatigued, to the point where he had trouble transforming into SSJ2. Which, mind you, he was able to do effortlessly against zamasu in the present. That heavily fatigued goku, was able to smack caulifia, and, goku at this point in BASE is much stronger than when he was SSG against beerus.

You don't need a spirit bomb to beat Buu, it's just neither Goku or Vegeta had enough power to kill Buu. Gohan is a lot more powerful than SSJ3 Goku, and doesn't become tired like Goku does in SSJ3, either.
That is incorrect. Kid Buu (Also known as Pure Buu) Is the pure form of Buu. Kid Buu has unlimited energy, regeneration, and stamina. But Kid Buu can be killed by 100% Pure energy which is found in forms of God Ki and certain moves like Spirit Bomb. Fused Buu (which is Buu that absorbs others) functions as a fusion. When Buu absorbs, they gain everything from the thing they absorb, even its weakness. Fuse Buu may be more powerful than Kid Buu, but Fuse Buu can easily be killed. Fuse Buu has limited regeneration, limited energy, limited stamina, and can be killed with less than %100 Pure Energy. Gohan had the chance of killing Buu when he was fused. Only way Gohan can kill Kid Buu, is by using 100% Pure Energy. It is possible for him to learn the Spirit Bomb or come up with a move of his own. Unless Gohan gains a move like that, only thing he can do is bash Kid Buu around until either he dies or someone intervenes to kill Kid Buu.

I dont understand one thing. Why did they all try to fight buu? They knew about his regeneration ability and that he didn't get tired. They fought against him and were logically exhausted in the end. There are multiple statements in the anime proving Kid Boo is strongest. Remember that the manga and anime are their own separate continuities.
I know this is an unpopular opinion...but I think vegeta made the best move. Gohan and the kids were stronger but still lacked enough fighting experience that they lost to their opponent BUU. Buu still could absorb people. Even if they both fought kid buu, if they got absorbed, its game over. No one could stand a chance, everyones dead.
Vegeta brought both those fighters back to life, and had them on earth as a safe backup plan if they lost. Far enough away where they couldnt get absorbed. Close enough that they could give their overwhelming energy to the spirit bomb to kill buu. If the spirit bomb failed, both them could stand a chance to beat buu and bring back everyone with the dragon balls.
Vegeta understood that they lacked so much fighting experience that they would get too cocky and that would be the end of all of them. Gohan has been stronger than cell and buu, and was such a terrible fighter he lost.

You're comparing when buu already absorbed gotanks, piccolo and gohan. That is why Goku tells vegeta they stood no chance. Goku was dead and on the kai's planet when buu absorbed gohan. So when goku got his life back andcwent back to earth he had to find someone to fuse with. Because goku could not defeat buu han/ gotanks/super super buu or whatever.

Power level alone doesnt matter. Even if Gohans power level completely eclipsed Kid Buu, his lack of pure fighter instinct that Goku and Vegeta possess hinders his true potential. So even if his power on paper far exceeds Kid Buus and Gokus, he still doesn't guarantee a victory if he fought either one of them.
Let's use random power levels and say that Kid Buu's power level is 4,500,000,000. Goku at SSJ3 Full Power would start out at about 4,750,000,000 since when he first transformed, he looked to be besting Buu at first. But due to the stress and fatigue of maintaining SSJ3, he quickly lost the edge. A drained SSJ3 Goku let's say is about 4,250,000,000. Because even though he was exhausted and lost a lot of power, Buu wasnt completely overwhelming him.
Same goes with Vegeta. By this point, Goku FAR surpassed Vegeta and left him in the dust. Vegeta at full power SSJ2 is probably laughable on paper compared to Goku SSJ3. Let's be generous and say his PL is 1,500,000,000. Despite such a low battery power compared to kid Buu though, his pure willpower, determination, and pride, allows him to somewhat give Buu a good few rounds before finally being defeated and overwhelmed. You would think Buu should have one-shotted him instantly. But as I said before, power levels dont determine the outcome of a battle in dbz. At least not later in the series.
So let's say Gohan on paper is higher than Goku. Let's put him at 5,000,000,000 for the sake of simplicity. Even though he has a higher power than Buu, it doesnt mean he can win. Especially if Buu can keep healing himself. Eventually, like Goku, Gohan will gas out.
Dude tell that to Gohan when compared to Cell Jrs. They were all far more willing to fight and die while Gohan was a pacifist and yet Gohan destroyed them with no effort. The will to fight doesn't make up for the sheer power gap.
