It is a direct successor to the Ultimate Gohan transformation, and as such, an extension of the Super Saiyan 2 transformation line.
You'd think Vegeta would've had a massive rage boost upon seeing Trunks die in the future, possibly even pushing him to Blue Evolution? It doesn't change the story much, but it most like would've happened
