In many countries including the USA if you have police sirens and lights and your using them and are not a police officer, That is a harsh crime as its impersonation of an emergency vehicle and police officer. Heavy fines and even jail depending on what you did with the sirens and lights while you were on the road.

@@arsanctum1228not a Federal crime unless you claim to be a Federal Agent/Officer under 18 USC Sec 912. Simple lights is just impersonating a police officer and will be charged under local statutes, but if you present credentials for a Federal Agency then it’s falls under 18 USC Sec 912.
But it's the Philippines. Let's not bring other countries laws and regulations here, because even a millenia from now, Philippines will be Philippines

Those who uses illegal accessories like blinkers and super loud horn should be fined additional penalty.
As many have said before - heavy fines should be given for private vehicles who fit "emergency" flashing lights. It should be made an offence to masquerade as an emergency vehicle. The attitude of drivers who use these lights stands out as entitled, pseudo macho and ignorant.

Supposedly. Theres a law regarding that but unfortunately, it's not being enforced. If they are, it's not consistent

The Bus lane is for BUSES.. if all drivers follow the regulation, no conflict, waste of money and license demerit. What is the cost of arriving 30, 60 minute or lower to your destination? 5k, 20k 30k and revocation? Logic please..

The one with blinker on the first one.. MMDA should have had that driver remove the blinkers on the spot.. baka magamit pa uli.. and it should be 5000 plus using of unauthorized blinker penalty..

The DOTR or LTO should increase penalties for using blinkers or wang wang for unauthorized vehicles and have those vehicles towed
people who put police lights and sirens but not part of any should be jailed not fined.

The painful truth is that there are "fewer" violators now ONLY BECAUSE of the traffic enforcers they see in some areas of the main road although they immediately try to mix through outside the exclusive lanes. Cheaters.

In my city of Auckland, NZ motorcycles are allowed to use bus lanes, T2 and T3 lanes. Also lane filtering is legal.

The one that gets me here in cdo is no headlights no tail lights no signal lights ball tires and nobody does anything about it we will not drive at night😢
The MMDA should coordinate with motorcycle taxi operators and ask them to penalize their drivers (eg. one month suspension) who get the 5k ticket or any ticket for that matter. It will be a double whammy for the driver and maybe they would learn to obey traffic rules.

The MMDA is also wrong, there should be a signage at the entrance saying "we expect a 5k penalty at the end, if you are not a BUS and an Emergency Vehicle, just try to enter".

In the UK most bus lanes allow licensed taxis, cyclists and motorcycles. We don't have the same volume of two-wheeled traffic however.

LTO should implement another law "Refusal to stop at first instance/ order" with the penalty of P5000.

If I remember correctly, those caught on camera or chased by an mc riding enforcer, the license plate of the rider eluding apprehension is forwarded to the LTO. LTO in turn will issue a cause order for the violator to appear and fines/penalties will be meted out if found guilty of the violation aside from fines for the bus lane law......

we filipinos envy other country for being organized, but we lack discipline and patriotism to help our country, we keep asking for our governement to change, but we as citizens can even follow a simple law.
Those with illegal blinkers/stickers/plates/markings should have increased penalties and punishment for using it.
law enforcers must be consistent in the implementation of traffic laws. it's not because the current administration is not talking about these blinkers and wang-wang and other illegal accessories that they stop apprehending violators. it's already in the law. government officials doesn't need to tell them everyday on what to do.
Grab, Joy ride, etc should kick out their riders who violated the law on bus lanes...these kamote riders endanger their passengers

Here in US, that’s a serious traffic violation and that will include jail time, huge fine and the vehicle would be confiscated.
