- If you've seen the MMDA flagging down unauthorized drivers in the bus lane, but then wondered why the driver continued going after speaking to the enforcer, this could be why...
Bus lane violators were flagged down, advised of their violation and then sent forward to the emergency bay for ticketing.
Although some drivers did fail to stop, or even ran away. - บันเทิง
Like I said before, for those complaining that the bus lane is a waste of space, how about you try using the bus lane instead of riding a car or taxi. You will never understand the effectiveness of the new bus lane system unless you try it. This change is a vast improvement of the previous system where two of the outermost lanes are used exclusively by the buses.
Even then, that was also abused by erring motorists who kept on using those bus lanes for their own convenience. It was already reduced to one lane instead of two and yet people still find reasons to complain. If you are not part of the solution then you are part of the problem.
Pag nag rereport ako sa office namin sa Cubao, nag cocomute ako from Muntinlupa. May motor ako at auto pero mas pipiliin ko mag commute since mas mabilis at tipid.
Same issue with bike lanes. Abused by motorists for their own convenience. "Wala namang bike gumagamit" - the reason there are little to no bikes using it because motorists want to 'share the road'.
sarili lang kasi ang ini-isip nila, hindi katulad ng ibang bansa na may social courtesy. Kaya hirap umunlad pinas.
Sobrang effective ng Bus lane sa totoo lang. Mahirap lang talagang magpunta sa gitna (example sa ortigas) - Ang dami pasikot sikot bago makasakay. Siguro bigyan din nila ng pansin na gumawa ng overpass intended for carousel terminals. para hindi mahirap puntahan lalonng mga PWD.
To people who keeps complaining about the bus lane, try using them. You'll realize how important it was and must be kept clear from obstruction.
Tama. Gusto kc nila overtake palagi. At lagi sila tama. D nila maintidihan, bawal sa buslane. Taba utak nila.
Those who said that the bus lane is a waste of space are the Kamote riders/drivers.

When i was in Manila, I used the bus carousel aside from MRT & LRT. Its actually very convenient and aside from being cheaper than taxis, it's also surprisingly faster since it doesn't get stuck in traffic. I hope they also implement this in Cebu where traffic is also bad.
Cebu is meant to have a BRT system. But it's been going through a lot of difficulties.
Hopefully soon though.
They're still acting like its a new law and don't know about it especially the ones who thinks they are entitled to use the bus lane
And when they are apprehended they cry like a baby and call for press and blame those who are just doing their job
There's some people who really rely on their position or connections, that's why they're brave to use the bus lane on a regular basis.
But for the average 'bus lane violator', it's more often that they didn't think there would be an enforcer there to catch them, since they know manpower is always limited.

Kahit P500,000 pa yung penalty, meron at meron pa din yung ugali na "ako!.....ako!....ako!..." mahirap disiplina sa Pinas
I hope the penalties they collect could be used for funding more enforcement operations
To the people who complain about the bus lane but also complain that Metro Manila has no efficient mass public transport system, the bus lane is the transport system you are looking for.

We have many bus lanes in London, and indeed in most cities in the UK and they definitely help to make public transport efficient. I think our bus lanes are marked more clearly than yours, which helps, but we also have a lot of bus lane cameras and many buses have cameras in them as well, which are used by the authorities to enforce the regulations and issue quite hefty fines. As a result, we have a relatively small number of problems. Also, many of our bus lanes allow motorcycles and official taxis to use them. Not private taxis, not Uber, but the ones like the famous 'Black Cabs' in London. I know that in London, in the huge daily rush hours, when the roads are choked, I really value being able to jump on a bus and get to my destination quickly. And many thousands of commuters feel the same. I like the idea of bus lanes and I love your channel.
Those who complains doesn't use buses or is simply stupid, stating that the traffic was better without the bus lane(due to the extra lane) when he didn't even factor bus drivers swerving in and out of traffic and making edsa their own bus terminal. And contrary to his belief, the traffic was never better without the bus lane. It is worse and one of the reason why people buy their own vehicles they can't afford and park on the road due to lack of garage.

Having bus lane encourages commuters to take the bus as it is faster, the MRT will also be less crowded when more people start to take the bus instead.
People also need to understand that adding lanes does not improve traffic whatsoever- especially slow moving traffic like this.
The same way temporarily adding a counter flowing lane when the light turns green, only for cars to have to merge at the end only causes more traffic.
There are a lot of cases where the counter flowing cars are going to turn left or right at the intersection.
keep them videos coming. high time na ipamukha dito sa mga walang disiplina na parte sila ng problema.
mmda should employ the use of tire spikes for those who do not want to stop for apprehension - fuck around and see what happens.

They certainly wouldn't be allowed. And honestly I doubt an enforcer would want to do anything too extreme.
Imagine, most enforcers only get paid around P500 per day, and there's no commission or percentage or anything like that - despite what some people try to mislead the public into believing.
The legal headache that they'd be facing, if someone gets hurt.. I doubt they'd want that burden. Especially if the violator turns out to be a specific person, which results in the enforcer having to retain their own legal counsel.
here in USA its allowed and legal for officers to tackle

Gawin nyong 50,000 pesos ang fine dyan tignan natin kung gaano kayaman yang mga yan. Kahit pala gawin 5k wala pa din takot mga tao. Iba tlga ang pinoy.

Im going to list down all the bus violator's cars that are about to get sent to the emergency bay:
1. Gray 2016 toyota corolla altis
2. Suzuki Motorcycle
3. 2016 Toyota Hilux Black
4. honda ADV
5. suzuki scooter or bike thingy again
6. white scooter bike
At least sometimes bikers/scooters, emergency vehicles and other stock vehicles like taxis visit the bus lanes in edsa because its harder for the drivers to stay on the traffic

Before the bus lane, it could take up to 2?+ hours to get from moa to cubao on the bus. They should now stop single occupancy vehicles from edsa
When you said, they have the plate number but unfortunately, it does not mean anything, so are they letting them go unpunished? Wala nang follow up since they have the PN? Curious lng po.
When I said that it sometimes doesn't mean anything, there's many factors..
Firstly, it will obviously depend on whether the MMDA will give that plate number to LTO and request for them to take action - typically in the form of a show-cause order.
Next, it would depend on whether the plate even goes back to the right person. A lot of motorcycles are sold, without ever updating the registered keeper. So finding the current owner can be difficult.
And then even if you DO have the correct details of the owner, and LTO actually issues a show-cause order, the driver might simply ignore it.
Many people who've earned a lot of violations simply give up on renewing the registration of their vehicle.
Those are just some of the factors, I could probably waffle on about this for quite some time.
Long story short, if you can't catch the driver at the actual time of the violation, there's a chance that they might really get away with it.

Wow the fine is over $100 Canadian converted. That's a hefty fine . Cant believe they still break the law. That is a huge chunk for groceries here in Canada. I would think it is also a huge chunk for groceries in Manila.
It used to be much cheaper, but they were literally apprehending the same drivers day after day.
That's why they increased the penalties by such a large amount.
It has deterred a LOT of people. But some still try their luck.

Question, do we have proper signage in that road for able the motorist well informed.
The bus lane occupies the inner lane for the whole 40KM highway (north/south).
There are various signages, lane markings, barriers etc etc
And this bus lane is discussed on TV, radio, social media (etc.) pretty much every week.
It's extremely rare that you'd hear anyone say that they didn't know it's a bus lane.
More often the reason given is "I'm in a hurry" or "I'm late for a meeting"

Hi GA we support & appreciate what you've been doing helping our HPG everytime they have operations. I only have a comment to make though. It doesn't make sense as to why you blur/conceal the plate numbers of the violators being caught in your videos - for what, to respect their identity. Like seriously?? It's simple. They chose not to follow basic road rules that may lead to accidents of others so they deserve to be known, who knows maybe some of them are already repeat offenders & feeling entitled bcoz sometimes they dodged from being caught. You conceal their plates but what about those law abiding drivers passing on the correct lanes, their plate numbers are being displayed in broad daylight in your videos, don't they deserve more respect than the offenders then might as well blur out all plates. I just don't get the purpose of the blurring part 🤷♀️. They violated the law & yet scared to get bashed online if their identity is exposed?! the audacity

Onli in the philippines, where in the world a 6 lanes super highway that runs average 6 KPH everday, every hour always traffic the reason motorist commits violates. If that is in amerika many activist are gathering right now or many motorist are going to walkout leaving their vehicles and thats that what they call freedom

Most of them are motorcycle riders. And then, someone will say"motor lang kaya nyong hulihin". Stupidity is now becoming a habit.
That's the problem. Until now, the majority of bus lane violators are motorcycles, and like you say, many of them will claim that enforcers are targeting them, when in fact there's just a lot more of them in the bus lane 🤷♂️

actually more lanes create more bottleneck and heavier traffic. Bus lane is a good addition to edsa, its just annoying at first, if they can also do motorcycle lane too it be better.

People complaining about the Bus lane have the choice to ride in a bus so they don't need to drive. They also are closed minded and don't understand moving forward to a better country. Everytime I go to Manila it takes an hour to go anywhere in a taxi.

Mmda dont need to explain to pulpol/kamote drivers. It just show how greedy are they. Filipino drivers dont follow simple traffic law.
