I’m new here! My plan right now is aiming for 10k every day with lots of incline and stairs, mostly zone 2 , + 2-3 strength training sessions. Appreciate you sharing your challenge and results. And holy cow, your skin is beautiful. What do you use for skin care and makeup?
I walk 24,345 that is 10 miles . I do it 3 times a week. Less on the other 2 days. I would do more but I have a full time job. So it's what I can do around my job.
I’ve been doing 15,000 steps a day after watching your 15,000 steps video. Going to try doing 20,000 for a week. Love trying your challenges. Can you please tell me about your Empty Nest job? ❤❤
That is so exciting!!! I’m proud of you!! Yes, my empty nest job is a fun gig:). I work at a little boutique where I get to play with clothes, shoes, jewelry and other accessories all day AND I get to model for them. It is a blast!
are the Hoka's really comfortable? I want to get a walking pad, do they really help? I do Walk at home but walking in place doesn't seem as productive as taking actual steps. What do you think? And why compression socks?
Yes, I love Hoka’s for the comfort. I love my walking pad and get more steps now while I’m also working. A friend advised that I wear compression socks to help with foot pain and it has been a game changer for me!
I always walk about an hour first thing in the morning. I like starting the day with a victory:). And I always do about 30 minutes on the rebounder after dinner. Other than that I get my steps from the desk treadmill and pacing while I talk unless the weather is nice and then I will walk to appointments.
Did you count steps taken just doing things like cleaning, cooking, running errands? Just curious because I'm always so confused about how much activity I need based on the rest of my daily lifestyle. I don't have a desk job. 20 000 steps would take me almost 3 hours of walking without a break. That's a lot!♥️🇨🇦
Studies show that non-exercise activity thermogenesis (NEAT) (the energy your body uses for physical activity that isn't part of a structured exercise program) contributes more to health than burst of structured exercise if you’re just sitting the rest of the day. It’s not that lifting and cardio aren’t important, but general movement throughout the day really makes the biggest impact on caloric expenditure than a 30 minute gym session. I mean, I can only burn 200-300 in one workout session. If I don’t move during the day, I only burn 1,300-1,500 calories a day.
Lol! I’m pretty tech challenged too, but I did figure out how to use my Fitbit somehow:)) It is the easiest of the modern things I use for wellness. Don’t be intimidated by it.
Thank you! Hmmm, I guess you would call it curly with its own mind!! When I get it cut it is layered and cut in the front to shape my face. I am clueless as to what if any style it is:)
Are you planning to do a step challenge? I would love to hear about it!!
I am going to try 15000 steps first, to see how it goes. I would like a challenge.
@@bevkuepfer2914 that is awesome!! Let me know how it goes!!
What a great encouraging message. You've got big sis challenged and thinking I can do this. Love you bunches.
Awww:)) Thank you!! I think you would like walking challenges better than gym time:)
I think it's amazing that you have walked 20,000 steps for 7 days in a row and that you are still smiling! Way to go and what a great inspiration!
Thank you:)
That's quite an accomplishment. Congrats! I didn't realize 5,000 steps are considered inactive. Great topic and video.
Thank you! Yes, I found the step count stats fascinating and a bit alarming!! I hope to inspire people to get moving:))

That is a great start!! I literally just finished filming a video about my skincare routine and will be releasing it in a few days:)
Thanks for the video. Very inspirational.
Thank you!!

Great job! What time of the day you walk and how many minutes/hours you walk in a row?

I include all movement. Otherwise I would have died!!! Lol!

@@DawnRK3204 yes! I love NEAT activities!!
I'm so tech challenged I can't figure out how to work a fitbit lol. I exercise daily but really need to move more all day long.

I love your hairstyle. What is it called ?
