For everyone wondering where this quest is from, you do it in the devils pit in Velen, close to the Inn at the Crossroads. It was added later when the Netflix witcher armor was added. This is the quest to unlock the diagrams.
It's interesting because it seems they had some plans initially, I remember that mine with closed gates which you can't get through and it seemed like something was missing as incomplete content. But the armor design was disappointing - in-game it looks slightly better somehow, feels more believable but still (and whole show was a disaster), well at least it seems like an interesting questline in game.
Oh was about to say I’ve 100% twice literally played thru atleast 10 times and thousands of hours and never saw this. You almost got me to start another play thru
Confession time. I have always had such a HUGE respect for the Witcher. Even when it was considered "Shit Slav-Jank with a horrible combat system" (The Witcher 1, which arguably had the best alchemy system to date) I've completed the Witcher in it's entirety 2x. The second time was TRULY a 100 percent playthru. I missed absolutely nothing optional. Fast forward, I've had the "Game of the Year" edition with all DLC for "Assassin of Kings" for over 7 years. I've owned the Witcher 3 GOTY edition, with DLC, for close to 5 years. I'm fucking 31 now, and investing over 100 hours into a game is a daunting prospect. Because of that, I have never delved past 1 hour of The Witcher 2, and I've never even installed the Witcher 3. I feel like I passed the point in my life where I'll be able to experience the rest of the series the same way as I did the 1st, and it makes me not even want to "waste the time" in trying. Life is fucking not the same as when we were 15. I have no drive to complete quests after working for 9 hours. TLDR Jaded gamer misses old times.
i cant encourage you to pick up the witcher 3 enough, the world really sucks you in, there wont be any difficulty in getting yourself to complete quests because you ll be very immersed in the environment and you'll just happen upon quests that you'll want to see the through to the end because of how interesting the characters and the setting is. It really makes you feel like you're a part of the world, even just riding Roach through Velen or Ard Skelling is a pleasure
Witcher 2 was fun never played the first. Im 34 and understand, once you hit late 20s early 30s you have better uses of your time for sure. Witcher 3 is my fav RPG game of all time. Voice acting is superb, its a 9.9 esp with mods. Cannot recomend enough dude. Buy it for cheap and enjoy playing it for the next year.
I love the Witcher world the books are amazing, I remember when I worked at amazon, the only thing that got me through them boring ass shifts was the Witcher audio books.
would have been neat if reginald somehow survived like a suspended animation type thing by the miasmal and you could make him return to kaer morhen and be used as an ally in defending ciri from the hunt and would later be found in the castle where you could buy armor from him.
It’s a new one they added within the last year so they could implement the Netflix witcher gear into the game! Netflix witcher sucks, but at least we got a cool quest out of it.
I think it depends on how much information you have learned while exploring the cave. Geralt says something like "theres gotta be more here. Need to explore more" or something like that when you're missing some more info or clue about Reinald.

One of the best quest I found so far. i'm sad for what happened to Reinard, he looks so cool and interesting. Still you can help him a little so that's good. Could be him the next protagonist of witcher's game?
side quests are more intense than the main quests damn unendable game of the year game . but dude all those red flags you stilll give the potion haha you re the player that skips dialogue and dont read haha
I feel like im the only one who loved this quest but hated the rewards. That armor is not the best looking armor you can get. The swords are also a little lame. Just my opinion, no shade.
@@samcook4207 Oh, I think I remember that update. It's probably a year old by now tbf, but I always push it back for when I plan to 100% the game. Thanks!
I started playing Witcher 3 maybe a week ago and I didn't know that you can see the level of the quest, so I went in the pit on like level 3, and cleared it in like 4 hours, because I though that the game is as hard as dark souls, and just got gud
The game is kinda easy on normal difficulty when youre leveled up so I started playing on Dèath march ďifficulty but the bleed effect still makes the combat very easy lol. Ìt's OP

Oh so it's later added content? because i remember i cleared all quest in TW 3 years ago and never come cross this quest.

I was wondering if this was new add on content. Hearts of blood and wine lies the forgotten wolf
Anything from the Netflix show is hot garbage.

So this is what happened to Rasputin, he was actually a 300 year old Witcher corpse
This quest was so good
True, I really like the story of this questline. It's also very cool meeting a witcher from centuries ago.
@@LoaftyBean What quest is this and how can I start it?
@@ognjenmicanovic8882 You can get this quest at Devil's Pit in Velen. It's called In the Eternal Fire's Shadow :D

I feel the same once you get older you have more productive things to do than play video games.

this is perfect for an episode of the witcher ... yet they fail. this quest is top 5

Lordy lord learn how to dodge, playing on easy mode and still spamming the shield.
Its death march difficulty lmao. Thats why they hurt so much
No offense but you really are not good at this game
Yeah, I could have done better. I got slashed many times lol

That has to be Sion from LoL's voice actor, right..?
