@@Fishingrod2538 the way you get to the bad ending isn’t accurate but the ending itself would be perfect, depressing yes but it’s the best written one imo well atleast until they show how ciri defeated the white frost and survived

I remember when I first played and I got the bad ending. Normally choice making games are easy and it is easy to get the good ending. I was so sad I wanted to replay the game just to get a good ending.

I´ve had same ending for first time too and I was like "so I´ve did this great adventure for ciri and geralt to die this, unhonorable way?!?" then I´ve learned about three endings thing and I was like "god so it is not only one ending" and I played it again immediately XD

Looking back now, though, I am glad I got to experience this ending at least once. It is so incredibly sad and somber. It really makes it clear what the stakes are, and it makes the "good endings" much more meaningful knowing what you've avoided. Hell of a game.
The Witcher world relies heavily on the insistence that you can't have one without the other, there's no good without evil to shadow it. Much like its endings, where Ciri survives but the medallion is gone and a Crone still lives, or the medallion is reclaimed and the crones are now dead, but so are Geralt and Ciri

It's surprisingly rather easy to get the bad ending if one isn't a fluent English speaker. Because that's exactly what happened to me during my first time playing this game back in 2015, lol.

except the fact that the ending with Ciri getting a new sword is the coolest. She lives, makes an awesome witcher, and she will probably start a new series, cos she is just as cool hero as Geralt. Ciri lives, it's a definite canon. too cool to kill her off.

Unfortunately not, because many mod creators do not allow their modifications to be hosted elsewhere. Just install the mods one by one and read the mod installation instructions.
Games are continuation of the books, so no, Ciri doesn't die. Geralt and Yen do, but Ciri teleports them in a place where time doesn't exist. And then... first game starts.

He isn't dying he is just clearing the swamp the werewolf says it that the swamp is not habitable
