People react to "they have your eyes" but don't notice he can quietly walk across a room and reach to touch the king's shoulder on the first try. If a "blind" person did that to me, I'd jump out of my socks.
I would argue kings weep, me personally, kings do weep. People try to dehumanize royalty but some have hearts and feel for their fallen brothers and comrades.
Nah, Letho isn't the villain. You missed the plot if this is your takeaway. It's the unhinged kings who are manipulated by the conclave of mages, conducting pogroms on elves, dwarves, later magicians and starving peasants. If anything, Letho is an anarchist icon who was looking to destabilise these autocracies.
Based Take. I also really like how there is no clear good vs. evil in all the witcher universe but many different parties with their own motivation and positive and negative attributes.
Pretty cool to think that from Lethos perspective, he completed his mission then had to run away from "Final Boss" Geralt. Then had to build up during his own story to face Geralt again at the end of the game.
Ironically, Letho's attempt at mercy (by sparing the children having to watch their father die) led to there being no witnesses to prove it was anyone but Geralt who killed Foltest.
I need to replay this game. This scene made me hate Letho but the last scene when you finally catch up to him made me realize he was absolutely right about everything he said. I killed him then immediately felt sour about it and restarted the fight for a different ending.

“I now proclaim You king of the Femboys”
why didnt geralt use aard? ignoring that the fact that the blind monk has metal knuckles on his gloves didnt raise any question?
Man, have you never played DnD. Monks are famous martial artists known for using iron knuckles and being built like linebackers.
(It's a joke, I know the Witcher isn't DnD).
@@justwannabehappy6735 monks in real life have nothing to do with monks in dnd (which also do not use iron knuckles) except for warrior monks in most of asia
@@xristoskoumpourlis1614 I know. That's why I said "it's a joke".
@@xristoskoumpourlis1614 A third of the guy's comment is a "it's a joke" disclaimer. How did you miss that.
@@GeeGe. he edited it
This scene is thrilling, but until now I haven't realized how much better overall experience is with Polish voiceover. Foltest here sounds like an average NPC from any game.
No, no one thinks that aside from the Polish.
i pref the german dub honestly of witcher 1 and 2. only one that really stands out in english is geralt tho the eng dub of witcher 3 is amazing so i tend to play witcher 1 and 2 in german and 3 always in english.
Knowing how utterly weird our Czech localisation was, I had no problems with English, but when I first heard the Polish version, I couldn't believe how much better it was. Especially Geralt himself.
@@TheLewisDawgit probably helps you can understand polish
@@calvin659 Even foreigners play Witcher with polish dub, so you have a bad take
“I’m sorry Geralt Your Vampire goth Mommy is in another castle”
Real villain is the king here because he named his kid Bussy.
Why
Most likely mother named him :)...you baroness La Valette? :) So the 'french' sounding names hehe.
I loved Assassin of Kings; that was the game that got me into The Witcher
I see Bane just couldn't get down with the quiet monk-life.
All hail king Bussy, first, and hopefully last of his name.
Lmao
"There's a bucket of water in the next room, i did not use it for my once a week bodily cleaning.. ! "
Noooo way the kids are called Anais & Boussy
Letho is played by Welsh actor, Mark Lewis Jones. He was also Pikalov in _Chernobyl_, yes, the general who drove that truck!
No wonder this is from a the Witcher game - The series is a benchmark in so many aspects. I played these games so much, good times.
"Hm why does that monk have studded gloves?"
Bro has the ultimate sleeper build
He could have yelled from across the room as he ran, a bit of a heads up can do a lot.
The Reigning Defending Undisputed Witcher Heavyweight Champion, Letho of Guuuuuuuuuuuuulet
Naming your child after the forbidden bussy is wild
Wouldn't the complete lack of blood on his blade be a dead giveaway that it wasn't the murder weapon?
People react to "they have your eyes" but don't notice he can quietly walk across a room and reach to touch the king's shoulder on the first try. If a "blind" person did that to me, I'd jump out of my socks.
I'd weep to if my name was Boussy.....
Foltest was such a great king damn...
His introduction on the ship goes way harder
Well written to begin with, and cinematographic as heck.
Letho, one of the best antagonists in gaming history.
The plot twist doesn't work when the voice actor has the most evil voice ever lmao
Awesome, and even better with mods that address the character vignettes and the annoying visual tilt-shift
4:35 HOLY CRAP HE IS BUFFED haha that surprised me :D
I would argue kings weep, me personally, kings do weep. People try to dehumanize royalty but some have hearts and feel for their fallen brothers and comrades.
Foltest was always a prick
But he seemed genuinely happy to see his kids.
I love how nobody cared that he was just casually saying everything that a blind man wouldn’t be able to know
Real sus of those crossbowmen to come running and yelling around the corner like that.
Now that's a kingslayer
I wasn't prepared for that kids name to be Bussy
Nah, Letho isn't the villain. You missed the plot if this is your takeaway. It's the unhinged kings who are manipulated by the conclave of mages, conducting pogroms on elves, dwarves, later magicians and starving peasants. If anything, Letho is an anarchist icon who was looking to destabilise these autocracies.
Based Take. I also really like how there is no clear good vs. evil in all the witcher universe but many different parties with their own motivation and positive and negative attributes.
@@julianr.82Yenifer is evil
@@jesuschrist7499 not really, she's just "the end justifies the means" kind of person and throughout the witcher 3 she was right to behave like that
TW2's graphics still hold up to this day, wish they remastered and fix the old combat mechanics.
Pretty cool to think that from Lethos perspective, he completed his mission then had to run away from "Final Boss" Geralt. Then had to build up during his own story to face Geralt again at the end of the game.
I’ve only played Witcher 3 but man this music is amazing
the witcher 2 is a lot better than the witcher 3
it gives you a better understanding of the world in the witcher 3
Ironically, Letho's attempt at mercy (by sparing the children having to watch their father die) led to there being no witnesses to prove it was anyone but Geralt who killed Foltest.
Geralt, he asked you to stay there, not to turn your back and look out the window
Whoever came up with the childs name needs to be on some kind of list.
It might shock you but other cultures and languages exist.
@mralireza931 No way dude :O There is a World outside of the Anglosphere!?
Boussy is an actual French name, my man.
I need to replay this game. This scene made me hate Letho but the last scene when you finally catch up to him made me realize he was absolutely right about everything he said. I killed him then immediately felt sour about it and restarted the fight for a different ending.
The Witcher walked so that V could Run.
Lehto isnt really a villain. We just didnt play him. We played Geralt.
they really named that kid bussy
A game from 2011 and it looks 1000xs better than most games in the past 5 years
Geralt, why are you gazing out the window? Sure, Foltest told you to stay back, but not goof off! Now he's dead and everyone blames you.
This video should be titled 'now that's how you introduce the main character'
I liked Letho so much I chose the ending where you let him go at the end, and I have a wallpaper on my pC with him and Yaevinn
this cutscene is far more better than all of witcher 3 cutscenes.
"one day you shall be king, my Bussy"
This is my first witcher experience and I had not one or any ounce of clue what it was. I just picked up this game because it looks cool at that time and now I poured thousands of hours to the trilogy
If only the king had the slightest bit of awareness
Witcher 2 is one of my favorite games, I love it!
This soundtrack tho...
I love it
