      @@sportbiketrackgear Nope. I bought some halo clip ons for my gixxer600 a few years back. Right before that I went ahead and upgraded the stock brake lines with braided ones. When I did that I only gave myself enough length for my stock clip ons. I ended up keeping the stock clip ons. After that I purchased an L6 1000 and upgraded the lines again but, I'm just dealing with the stock clip ons for now.

    When you order clip ons, you should order extra bars and keep them in your trunk if you street ride.. so if you go down adn you can still ride home, but your handle bar is broke off, you can slap a new one in and ride home.. zip tie them to your subframe under the fairing if you need to..

    Hi there, Hoping you might give me some advice.. I have a Gsxr 750 L9. I'm about 6ft and I find the position of the front brake lever a little too high. When riding in traffic I like to keep a finger or two on the front brake, but because the lever is slightly high I have to lift my fingers and this is uncomfortable. I tried rotating the lever down, but there is no room to move it as the brake lines contact the top of the fork. Would longer clip ons allow me to move the lever outward to get clearance for the brake line? If so, what clip on would you recommend? Thanks!

    Hello there brian , iv just for the first time change out handle bars to high bars for my zx1400r Kawasaki, it has 100% riding difference in lot of aspects, extended brake line kit comes with in, my only concern after completing the installation is the wiring of the right side that once in at full turn that the wires are fully straight with lillte put. If you need to you can always splice in extra length to the wiring harness. Before doing that I would take a close look at the harness to see if you could modify some of the routing for it to gain some additional slack. - Van

    This is an amazing video & extremely informative. I just bought a 2017 zx10r & the previous owner put some clip on’s that make you sit upright. I want to switch back to the original riding position of a sport bike. I’m unsure on which clip on’s will be the best fit for my bike, attack performance or vortex. I’m 5’7. Hopefully someone can help: I have gone down the “journey” of dialing in my clip ons for street. Got impaktek 4inch riser clip ons, at full rise it’s very comfy, but the thing is I feel these bikes (supers-port, zx6r in my case) handle much better with the clip ons in the regular position. Despite how tedious it can be on the street.
    I’ve since bought a 1000sx which is very comfy, so I’m considering putting my clip ons on my zx6r back to more of a race setting. , I’ve learned height doesn’t change the reach near as much as cant , I have them at 0 degrees , if I go to 7 or more , it really changes the reach, but I feel it makes the bike maneuver better especially on sharp street turns where you gotta be careful due to gravel and water.

    • @sportbiketrackgear
      @sportbiketrackgear  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I prefer the 7 to the 0 as well. IMO if you plan to ride the bike aggressively or on the track at all they are a much better option. The risers transform a sportbike into more of a sport touring bike. - Van

      Well that really depends on what you are looking to do. If you need to raise the bars take a look at the Woodcraft riser clip ons or the Helibars which are adjustable. Now if you are looking for a standard set of race clip ons Driven, Attack, Woodcraft and Vortex all make nice parts. - Van

    Can you do one on why getting track fairings may force you to install clip-ons instead of using the factory clips-ons? Ex. I have a 2007 SV650 that I want to get the Hotbodies track fairings for, the kit requires aftermarket 41mm clip-ons.

    • @sportbiketrackgear

    Brian I have a 18 R6 and will be purchasing clip ons in a few days.
    Question is how did the bike feel with the attack clip ons to the vortex. And which one would you run for a track only bike

    • @sportbiketrackgear
      @sportbiketrackgear  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you need the bars to be closer to you then the Attack are the way to go. If you are happy with the reach to the OEM bars the Vortex are the way to go. Also important to note the Attack are a little tougher to install because they really strain the limits of the throttle cables and such with every model being a little different. - Van

    Hey, so I'm considering switching the stock clipons to aftermarket ones to get a better ability to tweak them to my body shape, I'm really looking for a good break down of what all the different options mean, you mentioned offset there and you didn't really go into much detail, you said it was zero offset? Essentially I'm looking for a set of clipons that will level out and take my hands a little bit wider and further away. Am I looking for zero offset or 20deg 30deg 50deg ? I have no idea what I need to measure to know what numbers to pick. will offset help with clearance issues?

    I just bought a 2019 Triumph speed twin, and I'm considering modifying it by installing clip ons in order to lower my riding position. My takeaway from your video is that it's not at all a simple modification. That said, the shop quoted me $700 for parts and labor for that installation, which seems exorbitant. Any thoughts on which bars are best for that model, whether that quote seems right, and whether or not I should simply install them myself? At the very least I would like to procure the bars myself in order to keep the costs under control. I'm 5'9", 190 lbs, and have very long arms (6'3" wingspan), in case that affects your answer. I have a 2014 cbr1000rr SP I went down a little bit over a month ago. In doing so, it damaged my oem clip-ons. I'm having a hard time finding a pair of Clip-Ons that will work on my bike that I can afford. I bought a pair of woodcraft clip-ons off eBay. The seller said they were taken off a cbr 1000rr. Well, they don't fit. There are several problems I am encountering with these clip-ons, none of which I can afford. My bike is my only means of transportation. Do you have any ideas on an inexpensive pair of clip-ons I could put on my bike with little to no modifications needed? Thank you

    What percentage of sportbikes ever get raced? For that matter what percentage of em even do track days? Or more than just a couple their entire service life? I dont understand why manufacturers dont offer versions of full faired sportbike models where one could actually buy one built for comfort....yes poser bikes with slightly taller fairings and upwardly offset clip ons along with the same detuned motors they already reserve for the butt ugly naked bikes And PLEASE dont just say "buy and adventure bike or naked" OR any of the strange ADV proportioned bikes that are NOT dirt worthy true adv bikes....like the S1000XR ....WHY?? WHY does it have to be so tall and heavy compared to the RR or the R? I almost bought an XR but it was ridiculously like an adv bike with 17" wheels....in total frustration I bought a Tracer 9gt instead which isnt much better and a year later I am looking to replace it but with WHAT??

      If you want to get a proper sportbike with handlebars high enough to make it comfortable there are a couple of options out there. We sell kits from ABM/LSL and Helibars that can make a massive difference. Below are links to both:
