Nice little improvement over the stock bars if you are looking for a more track focused setup. 👍. What do you think?
Nice you literally modded the reasons why I dont like the bike wow now I love it thank you
Mind blowing 😍! 🎉
I was wondering if this mod was doable by myself on this model and here's your video. Here, take my upvote!
Here ya go! Haha!
Awesome Video, really convinced me to get those when i get my second Rs660
Thanks! I never really wanted to ever do clip ons to a bike but now that I am going to be tracking the 660, I felt it was a needed mod. 👍
Hey, man, before I watch this I just wanted to say thanks for doing this. I plan on picking up a RS 660 in a few months, and videos like this are so helpful. Add to that the entertainment value, and again, just thanks.
No problem! It’s not that bad to install just gotta take your time. I did another video installing some rearsets as well. 💪
I bought a used ‘22 RS 660 last fall as my first bike. It has been fun to ride and very nimble to learn riding around town on.
Nice! Good beginner and advanced rider bike! 👍
Hey, you did a good job right there, was wondering if you are able to unscrew the bar ends to fit some lever guards?
Thanks! Yes you can unscrew the bar ends but I’m not sure if you’d be able to put on lever guards on the stock bars. Might be able to though.
Good video Eric, I don't have the Aprilia but this still helped with wondering how to go about replacing the clip ons. I already want another bike and its between this, the new Honda 600RR, or Buse/ZX14
Thanks! Well you definitely have some options to think about. What are you wanting to do with the bike? CBR 600RR will be great for track and canyon carving. Busa/ZX14 more for the streets and roll racing if you’re into that. RS660 is great for street and will still perform well on twisty roads plus track. 👍
For me it would be twisties street bike, but for the track i would buy something used. @@itsmeericb
@@YoyoEnglish-oq9we the CBR or RS would be a good buy for twisties and canyons. Did you get it?
I have a question, can you still install phone mounts with these triple clamps? I use a quad lock for my phone and still would like to be able to use it on my bike!
Sure can! You are talking about a stem mount right?
I noticed you didn't have any clearance issues. Any reason why not because I heard it's a problem for a lot of people?
I did slightly on the brake side. I had to shave some of the front fairing and now it’s good.
What size riser did you go with?
I don’t remember the size but it was the smallest one
How does the bar height compare to the OEM configuration? Are your bars now lower than stcock?
I missed the end of the video the first time I watched it. You clearly mention the bars are now lower. Any guess as to how much lower they are? Also, did this setup allow you to turn the bars out any further than stock? I’m looking for a solution that would allow me to rotate my bars further forward to better match the natural angle of my wrists.
@@joelittel3534 the clip ons sit a little lower than the stock bars. Don’t know the measurement. I don’t have that bike anymore. lol
@@joelittel3534 you can still move the bars fully but will require you to cut a bit of the black plastic piece on the front fairing on the brake side.
