The Last Stand update has made the oxygen tank attract zombies like a pipe bomb, but the time it takes for it to attract zombies and explode still makes it pretty ineffective. You'd have to throw it to a mass of idle commons for it to work.
It’s useful if you enter a new area that is full of infected, and has an oxygen tank laying around. All you need is 1 shot and you basically clear the whole area
Military reloads in 3.33s, Hunting rifle is 3.13s so it's not by a huge margin, and so it's basically a Hunting rifle upgrade. I also notice all guns will take slightly longer to reload if you completely empty the clip, though it's very small.
incendiary ammo actually has another drawback: it cancels all other burning effects. For example, if you ignite Tank with molotov, it will burn until it dies or extinguishes itself. However, if you shoot that Tank with incendiary round it will stop burning after a set amount of time
It... doesn't? The burn duration isn't overwritten and it remains permanent if a special infected is hit by any fire source besides the ammo. If I had to guess you probably just saw a tank touch a small inch of water as any puddle regardless of depth extinguishes them.
You missed an important detail on sharp vs. blunt melee weapons. Sharp melees instantly remove collision from killed infected. Blunts have a delay. Sharp swings + good melee weaving between swings let you force your way through a horde, and you simply can't do that as well with blunts. That can be the difference between being able to break free and make it to a spot where you can't get flanked and getting stuck and punched in the back and going down. The machete has a smaller arc on the first two swings, but it swings faster than the katana, and that's really noticeable when trying to push through common. I'd rate the machete higher if you're swinging your camera around to compensate for the poorer arc. The differences between the combat and auto shotty are basically meaningless. At the end of the day they both do the same thing. They have garbage long range capability but mulch hordes. Shotguns in general have the benefit of being able to aggressively reload. There's no penalty for starting to reload any time you are not currently attacking the way there is with the rifles/smgs. You don't HAVE to make or wait for a long window to perform a reload when you're not at max ammo. On paper the raw output of an m16 or AK should be way better, but in practice, being able to weave in reloads at any opportunity lets you play a lot more aggressively and start pushing doors/corners before you could finish those god awful scar/krieg animations. If you get a chrome shotty with a laser, it's honestly a very high-tier weapon. If you melee after firing a shot, you can shoot pump shotguns slightly faster. Obviously it's still a pump at the end of the day, but a tight spread shotty can do midrange clears while being phenomenal for skeeting jockeys and hunters, and it's still a shotty, so it's never going to be bad in a choke against hordes. I'd honestly put the chrome with lasers in S tier if you're playing with bots, particularly in the L4D 1 campaigns where witches will pretty frequently spawn in narrow chokes that you must go through. The tight spread makes running crowns fairly easy, even without lasers, and simply being a reasonable all around weapon at the expense of raw burst output is a reasonable tradeoff.
Booted up Dead Center on expert to try the chrome shotgun + laser sight because of this comment. Took care of 3 witches and sniped many spitters and smokers, 10/10 would recommend

Another thing to note about the Boomer Bile, I'm pretty sure it does counter the boomer puke but ONLY if it hits another infected, so if you throw it at nothing it won't do anything, but if you throw it at a zombie while covered in puke they'll go for that zombie instead
Also to offer a 2000 hour versus thought. This tier list is pretty much the same for versus, except a few items are swapped. Or move up or down. Biggest one is molly's definitely go to S+ tier in versus. There are techs that people learn using the mollys, or a tank changes where it plays completely if the enemy team has one or two. Deagle is also in that same tier, the ability to kill specials in 1-3 taps when downed can save your entire team. Duals and normal pistol are almost garbage in versus, melee or deagle just are infinitely better in the much faster paced game. Faster, still forgiving melee range melee weps are always A+ tier.
Honestly for expert realism laser mp5 or silenced smg is better than ars especially in the parish finale if you find the chainsaw. You have enough ammo and if u have good aim with the god tier accuracy of laser mp5 and silenced smg you practically can play the whole map and only need to resupply in each safe room

my one gripe with the bile bomb is that if some moron throws it during a tank fight and the tank doesn’t die while biled, you’re now dealing with a tank and a horde which on expert is just brutal
One thing with pump and chrome shotgun is that they can deal damage to tanks without drawback like the semi for some reason they didn't bother making tanks not have any resistance towards the pump shotguns.
Incendiary ammo isn't all that helpful especially on the likes of hunter, jockey and charger. In l4d2 if I am correct a burning special infected that can latch onto you deals more damage when they're on fire the best case for this is the hunter.
One of my favorite things to do with the Bile Jar is to use it on non-aggrod Tanks. Exploding the jar next to it will cover it without registering as a hit, and it's so satisfying to just listen to it grunting as commons whap the crap out of it.
I've only watched your latest 2 videos so far but you come off as well-spoken and intelligent with a good voice for this kind of thing. You present information clearly and accurately with only a few missteps where you suddenly change your mind but it's not horrible and overall your videos are entertaining. Two criticisms I have are the usage of internet speak like "tl;dr" and so on which detracts from the professional sound of your video. There were more words but I can't remember but it doesn't suit the style of video you're going for. The other issue in regards to this video is using "Take up the screen" to describe the range of swinging weapons, usually saying that implies the weapon is taking up screen space and is otherwise in the way which confused me for a bit but I figured out what you meant later on. This is some quality stuff my man, I hope you keep at it.
oh god yeah, using the duel pistols or single when incap vs the magnum is like night and day, its actually frustrating to get incap with them to me, i pick up a magnum as soon as i spot one / will go out of my way to look for one most of the time

I disagree on a few things. 1..i believe the auto shotgun is better than the combat shotgun. Why? Because of its spread. imo the spread is why you choose a shotgun and the wider spread means it functions better as a shotgun, plus more damage. If you crouch, the spread tightens up, so ive been in PLENTY of stuations where the auto shotgun carried me. Then when dealing with hordes, the wider spread means more infected per shot 2. The scar is better than the m16. The burst fire is better IMO because it requires 1 trigger pull per zombie vs the m16, which still takes 3 shots, but its easier to screw up.and either fire more than 3 or to miss because by the 2nd shot, the zombies zig zagging around. Theres also a trick with the scar where with special ammo if you press the shove immediately after firing, youll only expend one round instead of 3, which means then you get 60.rounds of special ammo vs either 40 or 50 with the others. Crouching with this weapon makes taking out special infected from a distance very good and though it has the slowest reload, it has the largest magazine. 3. Id say the grenade launcher is at least A tier. Yes its slow, but it can kill a tank within 6 direct hits and pair with fire ammo, makes a makeshift molotov. 4. Id say the molotov is better than the pipe bomb because 99% of the time when a horde spawns, you can back yourself into a room and the molotov will literally clear the whole horde. Its much helpful with tanks and if a special infected grabs you and its on fire, it can save you. The pipe bomb kinda sucks, especially on solo. The bots kill the zombies before it explodes, and alot of times goes off before all the zombies can get to it. Plus, if it lands in a corner or near an object, it can hinder its blast radius. 5. Id say the gas can as in the same tier as molotov just because its very easy to stage and although you can rely on their spawn points, they can do the job of the molotov while either carrying another throwable or saving your molotov. Those are my thoughts.
Molotov and pipe bomb is on same level for me. Sometimes you have moments when there is a horde in open area where molotov does not work. Pipe bomb also can stop zombie push foe few seconds to recover and go to a better place for defend. m16 is garbage on expert, hard to kill weapon. I only take it when i don't have any special weapons or when i have tank and i don't have sniper rifle or ak, scar. Gas can I agree, i always take it because of tanks, then i have pipe bomb or boomer puke to rescue from horde.
People love to talk about the AK but it's bullet spread and lack of accuracy has gotten me killed in multiple occasions. Namely when a smoker has pulled me. With a laser yes it's S+++ tier but without it it's just A tier for me. and i'd rather have the M16. I value accuracy over power especially on expert.

The AK is better against special infected but the M16 is better against hordes/crowd control. The M16 can be much more effective then the AK for dealing with gauntlet and hordes. The M16 is also infinitely better for dealing with smokers and spitters who tend to stay farther away from you. Saying “in no world is the m16 better” is just, factually wrong. The M16 is better at crowd control

30:02 I discovered why people love the katana when playing carnival with a friend (on normal) the other time bc there was a point where I just gave up on my gun and started swinging. And swinging. And swinging. Really felt like I was playing biblically accurate demoknight ngl
I've never been able to stomach using the special ammo on expert. In 2800 hours of play time I've had far, far, far too many scenarios where explosive ammo has suddenly incapped one or more of us. The other issue with fire ammo, aside from the vision issue where everything is in flames, is the fact that shooting fire ammo at a tank that's already on fire from a molotov will overwrite the molotov fire with the temporary fire from the ammo. All of these issues combined means I avoid the special ammo like the plague on expert/realism.
As an avid melee user that doesnt really use mag that much even i think (at least in expert realism) mag is an easy S+ tier being able to have insurance after you run out of ammo (especially in custom campaigns) is great, when using melee that dread of having almost no ammo and far deep into a hard map really sucks. thats not even mentioning the downed buff of actually being able to help team even when on the ground.
It's weird but I find the pan extremely consistent, the hit detection feels amazing and it's kinda fast. I have it as my third favorite melee just behind the katana and the axe
Its good, not a meme as he said. Also almost all melee weapons are better secondary than the desert eagle, except for the garbage ones ofc like the knife or pitchfork.
Another idea towards fixing the scout. Make it a tier 1 weapon spawning with the uzi & pump shotguns in safehouses. And I think your idea o making the awp a high output tier 3 is a great idea aswell 👍
uh those pistols yer usin have an improper reload time, they are slower than its supposed to be, so when you are dbno, its even SLOWER to reload. Dualies have saved my life many times on expert, its the total kill count vs 8 easier shots. Deagle reloads too much sometimes. Just my thoughts, pretty sure my top kills are pistols
I have retracted my comment, and I would like to apologize for my harsh words since it seems I misunderstood and would like to clarify. When you say the uzi has lower accuracy, do you mean it hits shots more than the silenced smg? Cause lower accuracy (at least to me) implies that it will miss more. I still think it's a bit odd to point out the reload specifically for the scar and the dps output when the scar has a comparable reload to the CS AR and the dps is only a tiny bit behind (and that's only if you sustain fire). The burst is a real con, but I think the per dmg, accuracy, and mag increase should make it above either the m16 or CS AR (whichever you prefer less of) especially since if you think either/or's an upgrade over the other since it is replicable but the quick, accurate, stronger burst of the scar isn't.

Obviously a rookie. Everyone knows. In a experienced players hand these weapons are completely broken and unfair. Melee, autosniper hunting rifle, shotguns. Shotguns more for realism snipers more for non realism

Playing on expert with bots is really hard, watching an opinionated video about weapons is one of the least helpful things you can do for yourself. I even stress in this video that every weapon works and that they aren't as important as your throwable usage and team economy
1200 hours in not versus mode is insane to me, like i get it l4d is amazing but like, whats the point of just beating bots all day why not play like a ps2 game or some shit
the 2 main factors that keep the longevity for me are; 1- the l4d1 demo came out as i was turning 13 and telling my dad "i want big boy video games now". I had played a bit of half-life but left 4 dead was my first real step into proper FPS games, Steam etc. So that's my big nostalgic callback 2- it's rarely ever been my go-to grinding game. Growing up I was addicted to counter-strike source jailbreak/minigames -> LoL -> PUBG -> OW so, playing a campaign game with friends was always moreso the backburner game. 1 or 2 campaigns a session, 2-3 sessions a week at the complete peak of it, with random 1-2 month long hiatuses. So, by never really grinding it out, i never got truly bored of it. it's also legitimately become the game I'll catch up with friends over if we havent talked in a while- autopiloting our brains for the hour or so to talk while zombies are in the background
Ain't no way u didn't put the Scout and AWP in "F" tier. I can't think of any situation in which these 2 weapons can be useful. Also the desert eagle is not "S" tier. Having a good melee weapon like the Katana is SO much better. Grenade Launcher on "B+"? for what? one of the worst weapons by far.
Stopped watching this vid after puting deagle on S rank (should be cancer of l4d2 with all melee excluding chainsaw). If it was one time use like m60, gl and chainsaw with no ability to replenish ammo, it would be ok. But an ability to use deagle as a fooqin' primary weapon with infinite ammo and an ability to one shot commons in realism expert makes it op

The hunting rifle has no bloom even without a laser sight, while the military sniper does have bloom without a laser

If the scar was simply semi auto and would fire as fast as you click, it would probably be the best weapon.

I personally find the auto shotgun to be more effective than the combat shotgun, but more importantly to me I like its sound better
makes sense it has more bullets and spread so it is easier to hit close range
Get a sound mod and pick the sound you like best.

they basically made the knife into the machete 2. it also doesn't have the different swing/damage arcs the other melees have. kinda busted ngl

The M16 is also infinitely better for dealing with smokers and spitters who tend to stay farther away from you. Saying “in no world is the m16 better” is just, factually wrong. I've never been able to stomach using the special ammo on expert. In 2800 hours of play time I've had far, far, far too many scenarios where explosive ammo has suddenly incapped one or more of us. The other issue with fire ammo, aside from the vision issue where everything is in flames, is the fact that shooting fire ammo at a tank that's already on fire from a molotov will overwrite the molotov fire with the temporary fire from the ammo. All of these issues combined means I avoid the special ammo like the plague on expert/realism.
As an avid melee user that doesnt really use mag that much even i think (at least in expert realism) mag is an easy S+ tier being able to have insurance after you run out of ammo (especially in custom campaigns) is great, when using melee that dread of having almost no ammo and far deep into a hard map really sucks. thats not even mentioning the downed buff of actually being able to help team even when on the ground.

Another idea towards fixing the scout. Make it a tier 1 weapon spawning with the uzi & pump shotguns in safehouses. And I think your idea o making the awp a high output tier 3 is a great idea aswell 👍

1. Axe
2. Katana
3. Machete
4. Baseball
5. Cricket Bat
uh those pistols yer usin have an improper reload time, they are slower than its supposed to be,
so when you are dbno, its even SLOWER to reload.
Dualies have saved my life many times on expert, its the total kill count vs 8 easier shots. Deagle reloads too much sometimes.

The 1 weird thing, about l4d2 is that it feel like Valve deliberately make the l4d2 gun stronger then l4d1 make by TR.

When you say the uzi has lower accuracy, do you mean it hits shots more than the silenced smg? Cause lower accuracy (at least to me) implies that it will miss more.
I still think it's a bit odd to point out the reload specifically for the scar and the dps output when the scar has a comparable reload to the CS AR and the dps is only a tiny bit behind (and that's only if you sustain fire). The burst is a real con, but I think the per dmg, accuracy, and mag increase should make it above either the m16 or CS AR (whichever you prefer less of) especially since if you think either/or's an upgrade over the other since it is replicable but the quick, accurate, stronger burst of the scar isn't.

Obviously a rookie. Everyone knows. In a experienced players hand these weapons are completely broken and unfair. Melee, autosniper hunting rifle, shotguns. Shotguns more for realism snipers more for non realism

1200 hours in not versus mode is insane to me, like i get it l4d is amazing but like, whats the point of just beating bots all day why not play like a ps2 game or some shit
the 2 main factors that keep the longevity for me are;
1- the l4d1 demo came out as i was turning 13 and telling my dad "i want big boy video games now". I had played a bit of half-life but left 4 dead was my first real step into proper FPS games, Steam etc. So that's my big nostalgic callback
2- it's rarely ever been my go-to grinding game. Growing up I was addicted to counter-strike source jailbreak/minigames -> LoL -> PUBG -> OW so, playing a campaign game with friends was always moreso the backburner game. 1 or 2 campaigns a session, 2-3 sessions a week at the complete peak of it, with random 1-2 month long hiatuses. So, by never really grinding it out, i never got truly bored of it.
it's also legitimately become the game I'll catch up with friends over if we havent talked in a while- autopiloting our brains for the hour or so to talk while zombies are in the background

Ain't no way u didn't put the Scout and AWP in "F" tier. I can't think of any situation in which these 2 weapons can be useful. Also the desert eagle is not "S" tier. Having a good melee weapon like the Katana is SO much better. Grenade Launcher on "B+"? for what? one of the worst weapons by far.
The desert eagle is consistently good it 1 shots is common on any difficulties, and the grenade launcher is good against tanks and big hordes

Stopped watching this vid after puting deagle on S rank (should be cancer of l4d2 with all melee excluding chainsaw). If it was one time use like m60, gl and chainsaw with no ability to replenish ammo, it would be ok. But an ability to use deagle as a fooqin' primary weapon with infinite ammo and an ability to one shot commons in realism expert makes it op
