Just picked up a 991.1 C2S 6 months ago to replace my E92 M3. Couldn’t be happier. I also agree that it can be frustrating to putt around at low speeds. Track days are therapeutic.
Answer: every day of the week it can be a daily driver. Have driven a 2017 911 about 9,000/year. The back seats are functional. In a pinch you can take 2 rear passengers. Otherwise it has plenty of room for groceries or a road trip. I feel like owners should drive their Porsches. Nothing sadder than a 10 year old car with 20,000 miles. Lower your tire pressure to “comfort” setting. I noticed your rears are at 41 PSI- that can be harsh. The manual transmission makes the daily aspect harder. That’s why I switched to a PDK car. If you want fun below 4,000 then the twin turbo engines post 2016 spin up faster. Less noise but really responsive.
I'm happy to daily my 2007 Cayman S. No back seat, but plenty of room for most of my needs. Slightly less power than the 911, but a real delight to drive. I skip 5th and 6th gears when i get around heavier traffic. So much fun!
You can, but should you? Stiff ride. Flashy. Poilice magnet. Criminal magnet. People following you around. Sky high insurance rates year round. Sky high dealer maintenance rates. Scratches and dings... etc. etc.
You have just described every new flashy new car on the road. Mustang, Charger, corvette, etc., etc. I guess we should all drive cheap used Hondas and Prius
Maybe it's where I live, large city, but I've never had any police, criminals or people following me around. I've had the 911 for about 8 years now and the only people it attracts are Asian women, little boys and old men.
No sportscar can possibly be considered a"daily driver" just because you think you could drive it everyday heh.. For me it would have to be a such.... Sportscars are for FINN.. Highly impractical
The 911 has enough practicality, so why not drive it every day? I used to daily a Sunbeam Tiger. Hell, a friend of mine had a Lotus Elise as his only car for a couple of years. Had snow tires for it and everything. Life is too short to drive boring cars.
3:28... that's funny because people treat Prius like that but for different reasons.

I have the same car - it’s the perfect daily in my opinion

@@randallbiang6012 Most money smart folks drive sensible cars. How many supercars do you see every day?
@ in my area (Chicago) a lot. More than I can count
My insurance on a 2007 Cayman S is barely over $100 a month. One of the lowest I've ever had on a car.
