Weapon swapping is fine in Classic Asmon just sucks. Try to time it right after a weapon swing when possible, makes it more efficient. The client is way faster than it used to be at handling this stuff. + batching removal will make it even smoother.
Warriors were perfectly fine in TBC and if you look at most all of the old TBC progression guilds, you'll see at least one in the melee group. The idea of this new meta is just ridiculous. World Firsts for TBC are done. There is no true 'progression' to be had... just play the class you like and stay away from the meta/tryhard guilds.
22:55 it´s the impact of your abilitys not really the numbers. At least that´s my opinion about it, somewhere between wrath and retail they fucked up how impactful your abilitys feel.
Not really. It's true that the most competitive players tend to play the strongest classes in general. There are always exceptions, and a good player on a "bad class" will usually stomp on a shit player on a "fotm class". This has the effect of making the fotm class/spec seem even stronger than it actually is, relative to other classes, because all the best players are playing it. It's the same with the difference between interal specs for pure dps classes. If Fire is objectively 5% ahead of Arcane for Mages, logs will make it seem like Fire is 15% ahead, because all the ultracompetitive players are playing the best spec.
In my guild that was the top guild we didnt recruit any warriors except 1 arms warr for the entirity of tbc. All other specs have much more synergy so no spot for 10 Warrs really
I had to go on "trial runs" with my old guild in tbc during their raids to gear alts to prove I was worth a spot. Though with the right leather gear and everything else (DST from gruul was lovely), fury was pretty decent at endgame especially when you hit the execute phase: queue deathwish+recklessness+execute+HS spam lol. Offhand damage alone was enough to keep rage piling in.
Well i mean in arena a rogue being able to 2 tap someone and their healer will do less dmg than a warrior who has to fight through heals soooooooo yes but thats not a flex persay.
honestly warrior has a well carved niche in TBC raids, and fury warrior will have great value if the speedrunning meta leans towards melee cleaves (they can move and attack at the same time while casters cant)
I started classic without addons with a fury warrior. Got to lvl 56 on one realm. Then I revisit wow classic after 1 year of break from it and retail with pally on another realm and lets just say I feel like I'm sitting in a wheelchair with lightspeed boosters strapped behind me. How much I can survive stuff with debuffs and heals is unbeliavable. And only needing mana regeneration instead of constantly using bandages and eating max food buffs lol
warriors actually took skill back then rofl not like now a days where you just tunnel and pop all your cds and blow someone up and never have to los because you got so many spell reflects lmao
Warriors probably have the strongest scaling with gear and will top meters everytime there's a cleave situation. They can contest #1 overall (yes, it's more important than boss dps once you're on farm status) from T5 going forward.
Mean while i know that the last patch before Wotlk made hunter and Ele shamans be top dps without any worrys from any other class specs they were gods and it felt good to be an ele-shaman.
Hunter was broken as fuck in TBC since all of the attack speed boosts stacked ADDITIVELY. Improved Aspect of the Hawk -> +15% Ranged Atk Spd + Serpent Swiftness -> +20% Ranged Atk Spd + Quiver of a Thousand Feathers -> 15% Ranged Atk Spd + Haste Pot -> Increases haste rating by 400 for 15 sec / 15.77 @ 70 = 25% Ranged Atk Spd + Rapid Fire -> 50% Ranged Atk Spd = 125% -> Reproc on AotH -> 141.5%
Arms Warriors were amazing in TBC pvp at least, it was the height of windfury being overpowered. With windfury and mace stun, warriors actually rivaled rogues in terms of CC and burst damage in the arena, while being tanky as hell with defensive stance. But you play Alliance lul.
I played as a warrior during TBC era and couple of years on private servers, orc more specifically. Doing both tanking and dps, PvE and PvP. While warriors were still top notch tanks, they were capable of some big dick dps. Fury warriors were dogshit (well, not really, but I never liked it, too boring for me). If you want a truly good dps - go with arms. 4 pieces of T6 set, HoJ, items from Sunwell Plateau, a trinket from M’uru, sword from either Blacksmith or Archimonde (these are the best options but you can use any 2H sword tbh) and a sword spec. Ask to be put it group with an enhancement shaman for that sweet WF totem. Watch the boss melt. The amount of damage from HoJ and Sword spec procs is insane (plus if you get the Windfury totem proc on top of the trinket proc - ohhhh, the numbers were flying). But yeah, if you hope to top the dps meters - not gonna happen. Warlock with 4 T6 pieces and much shittier gear will beat you any given day of the week. They just spam Shadow Bolt and get 8-12k crits.
Glad I'm not the only one who likes slam. I think melee classes should have castable abilities. Even if they are uninterruptable, it adds something different, and it can be done in cool ways, moveable and non moveable, for instance, force choke or ravage in The Old Republic. Blizzard has to make their classes more interesting and DiVeRsE! Also, I'm with u on the numbers thing. GIVE US THE NUMBERS!
In all Honesty the real nerf to Warrior DPS coming from Classic is the reomval of Wolrdbuffs. Just look at Warcraftlogs für no Worldbuff runs, Warriors Mages and Rogues on top, Warlocks not far behind and even Hunters in the top 200. The only thing elevating Warriors so massively above everyone else in Classic right now is their absurd scaling with Worldbuffs, literally doubling their damage. Without worldbuffs, classic is actually surprisingly balanced even right now.
Maybe it's a 'grass is always greener" fallacy but warriors have it easy in classic and will have it even easier in tbc. You just need to tank, and all will just come to you easy. It's the trade. As a tank you are one of 3 classes that can fill that role. With tons of edgy dps warriors around you are even lower in number, meaning you get to pick your party in a way no dps restricted class can, and you can take the same people to the same groups pretty much over and over, or choose a comp that will not have you compete for loot. This means you can go with all casters into kharazan and that means all those dps items will be yours.
GL out-dpsing lock in 5 man. Anyway what I learned from endless is 1.locks, 2.mages, 3hunters, 4.elemental shaman, thats about it, Seen like 2 dps warriors for what a month.
This is what changed WOW from MMO we loved to MMO we barely play. It DOESN'T matter what class is the best, numbers aren't the only measure in this game. "The best class and the best players play it". Fuck no. There's always the most bugged class in each expansion, one build, one class and everyone wants to play it to be the top dmg. Like it's all what matters.
Look at that graph at 3:30. Is it just me or did Blizzard improve the classes in order to turn that order around on its head? When I think about it they improved almost exactly the classes the amount needed in order to turn it upside down.
I was just in an MC with a boomkin bragging they were higher on the meter than a rogue. Boomkin had all the epics a boomkin would ever want, rogue in questing greens, and its like "dood, what are you flexing?"
Warriors have to wait for BT+Sunwell Armor pen gear doood Pretty decent on stand still fights with full gearing /itemization. Early TBC? Nope. Early arena without resilience, YES? gonna fk ppl up with a good weapon until more arena/pvp gear is going around. Sweeping strikes are usable in Berserker Stance as well now and is 10 attacks now not 5 anymore, which is huge as you can squeeze last procs off a 2nd WW as ur 2H is slow as Arms. Going fury early on? Nope, better to have a rogue then :P Raids wants an Arms warrior due to its debuff being crazy good for BM hunters kekw, and even tank threat. Slam can bypass swing timer reset now and u can even get it off in arena if ur good. PVE rotation? Auto+MS -> slam -> auto+WW -> slam -> auto+MS -> slam -> auto+WW -> slam + Instant cast/shout. Repeat. :kekw:
With Phase 2 on the way and players not being shit you will see top guilds using Fury warriors for sure. It will happen. There are plenty of high end guilds that have healers that can keep dps warriors up as well as players good enough to avoid the mechanics. The ptr right now is showing it. Honestly mark my worlds the best guilds will be recruiting and using fury warriors in phase two. Warrior cleave is just to strong not to. Every raid will have a few.
TBC ret is certainly a lot better than level 60 classic, but as far as I have heard it only becomes strong in WotLK. If you want to play for the damage meter, play hunter or warlock, but if you want to have fun just pick what you want. If it's a niche or disadvantaged class or spec, look for a guild early so that you have your spot. Or you can probably PUG a bunch.
So much hate in these comment threads. Who cares what he does with his stream / content? How he gears? How he plays? It doesn’t affect you/ your gameplay whatsoever. So odd.
Lmao coming back hearing people say warrior was the worst tank in WotLK still makes me laugh as much as when I played OG WotLK As a Prot Warrior we fucked people if we knew what we were doing in pvp and pve still to this day we do amazingly We also have a ton of threat building with our massive damage. Pallys and Dk always tell me to stop taunting till they realize it's just me attacking Way back I stayed top 8 in a 25man which depended on how geared the Dks or Hunters were
Lolherald randomly stuns? What do you meeeaaaan? The tooltip literally reads: Equip: Stun a Druid when he comes out of Dire Bear Form. On the early Blizzlike private servers I used to play, mace stun used to stack multiplicatively in such a way that insane warriors would be able to game their mace stun to use it for cc on focus targets. Also, while yes, Warriors are in fact one of the best classes in arena and the easiest to climb with by far, working especially well with 3 out if the 4 healers, a considerable amount less with priest which is the 4th, Warriors were notoriously bad duelists. There is not a single class in the game that doesn't straight up beat Arms at anything past decent. They're so easy to deadzone since they have the weakest slow in the game, their only reliable stun also doubles as their gap closer and can be jumped, and they have a fetish for being cc'd for a literal eternity. And on top of all that, they have the lowest resilience on their gear of any class and very often gravitate towards PvE items in search for expertise. They're reliable to get rating with, being one of the few classes in the game with both healing reduction and an easy way to finish games. However, they cannot be compared to slslLocks, sRogues, and rDruids. Those 3 are the true holy trinity of TBC pvp. All those people who rolled Mage in classic and were hoping to carry that over into tbc for arenas, they're in for a rude awakening.
Druids are also for theory crafters.all the hybrid specs are gonna be viable in TBC. a lot of experimenting in Arena. a the end of the day u are gonna get rekt by night elf priest or melee hunter bursty shaman or something :P also warlocks and shadow priest duo with curse fo elements uu..

I guess he just wants warlocks and moonkins to suck forever while warriors just crush everything like in classic. Wait until WotLK when moonkins destroy warriors on the meters, he's going to mald so hard.
@gabepasta early wotlk moonkins were pretty good and fury was trash for most fights. a lot of warriors raided as arms because fury was so bad early on.
@@sfbenji Furry warriors are just melee fire mages (gear dependent AF). Change my mind.
@@sfbenji you must be on something to think moonkins are meter toppers in wrath. lol
@@maltal7571 never said they were meter toppers, just above warriors :) Ya'll are sleeping on wrath moonkin. Eclipses and OP starfall made them into legitimate DPS. I remember beating most warriors on the meters until TOC/ICC.
Warrior leveling in classic is a trudge through a swamp before level 30 or so. Once you get sweeping strikes, it becomes much better.
He kinda forgot to mention the one-handed maces from Blacksmithing - aren't they sick!?
I mean it's willie he mainly just reads off reddit.
@@RadarFinsR i Mean it's fine content, dont think amyone is perfect across all classes :)
Dem maces
Yeah, they are Best In Slot for a long ass time.. but are they good enough to get you a raid-spot? Probably not.

Warr with stormherald mace stun + Resto Druid. TBC arena in a nutshell.
Yup it was op and brilliant fun
Warlock in arena: perma fear and slsl...
Literally they can do 50k damage before breaking the cycle of the slsl spec
@@neehime6 lock isn’t as OP as people make them out to be. Especially with the 2.4 patch that we’re getting where res affects dots, rogue on the other hand destroys everyone if they’re half decent
@@Irovetti People forget it was mana drain that made Locks so OP in arena's. Which we wont have to worry about with 2.4
@@Shatamx why don’t we have to worry about? Is it nerfed?
170 extra hp on top of the 1080 of baseline Command Shout is quite substantial. It's 850 effective health for the party.
If you have a guild that is willing to carry you as Fury (or Rogue) until you have Glavies instead of bringing another BM Hunter or Mage then you don't have to reroll, however if you don't have a guild willing to carry you then you better suck up to them and go Arms ...or reroll!
I bet most people picked warrior in vanilla, because it was the first selected class on the character screen haha :D
I got a few friends that didten even know, there was more then one class.they just started on warrior and typed the name
18:20 no you dont need rampage. its not even that amazing early tiers, death wish just scales better
Weapon swapping is fine in Classic Asmon just sucks. Try to time it right after a weapon swing when possible, makes it more efficient. The client is way faster than it used to be at handling this stuff. + batching removal will make it even smoother.
You really need to play other game. It's clunky af. It's not normal to write a stupid hardcoded macro to use it efficiently.
At least that´s my opinion about it, somewhere between wrath and retail they fucked up how impactful your abilitys feel.
talkin about classes being strong the whole expac had me thinkin about Legion - Guardian Druid those boys were scary
3:34 Nah the best player play the classe they love
yea but he can't say that and still pat himself on the back at the same time lol
@@Melodeath00 ur a loser
"Ill be top damage in five mans" *proceeds to make fun of people who Nostalgia their non-optimal DPS toon in 'trash pug' 5 mans.
"If I'm behind a boomkin...that's it I quit the game....IF I'M BEHIND A BOOMKIN...seriously...I quit the game...." ~ Asmongold "nuf said"
Well i mean in arena a rogue being able to 2 tap someone and their healer will do less dmg than a warrior who has to fight through heals soooooooo yes but thats not a flex persay.
26:58 is the only reason you run a brown boy as MT. Even so, feral tanks are stronger overall.
But wait.. Can't you write a macro for stance/Weapon swap simultaneously? Or was that not until WOTLK?
honestly warrior has a well carved niche in TBC raids, and fury warrior will have great value if the speedrunning meta leans towards melee cleaves (they can move and attack at the same time while casters cant)
I wonder if shammy plus 4 warriors will work in dungeons
bulwark of azinoth reminds me of kungen. he was so badass
You can pinpoint the exact moment when Asmon's heart breaks 1:53
Oof, I remember prot war tanking through wotlk heroic achievements for the red proto drake. Good times man..
I liked slam fury in classic, the rotations are more advanced and it felt like more activity time.
warriors actually took skill back then rofl not like now a days where you just tunnel and pop all your cds and blow someone up and never have to los because you got so many spell reflects lmao
Hot take:
Blacksmiths should get discounts on armor and weapon repairs.
Armorsmiths should be able to repair other players armor (with certain mats) and recieved the gold
Warriors probably have the strongest scaling with gear and will top meters everytime there's a cleave situation. They can contest #1 overall (yes, it's more important than boss dps once you're on farm status) from T5 going forward.
Classic numbers is an addon you can get i have it for the exact reason you said. Also Enhance shammy with doomwinds makes numbers goo BRRRRRRRR
Improved Aspect of the Hawk -> +15% Ranged Atk Spd + Serpent Swiftness -> +20% Ranged Atk Spd + Quiver of a Thousand Feathers -> 15% Ranged Atk Spd + Haste Pot -> Increases haste rating by 400 for 15 sec / 15.77 @ 70 = 25% Ranged Atk Spd + Rapid Fire -> 50% Ranged Atk Spd
= 125% -> Reproc on AotH -> 141.5%
People have been raiding TBC on private servers for years. people are going to shread
They will all go hunter... the true top of the meter king for TBC
Arms Warriors were amazing in TBC pvp at least, it was the height of windfury being overpowered. With windfury and mace stun, warriors actually rivaled rogues in terms of CC and burst damage in the arena, while being tanky as hell with defensive stance. But you play Alliance lul.
Alliance have windfury in TBC.
GIVE US THE NUMBERS!
fury warrios job in TBC is to battle shout the enhance shaman, who is dual wielding windfurry and buffing all the melee with +10% AP.
and today we have Mages / Priest with Mining and Smithing
asmon thinks warrior leveling was easy in classic, whenever I watched him he was being carried
Well yeah, that's why it was easy for him, lol.
For some changes I would like to see bliz revamp the set bonuses most classes are pretty bad.
Professions in WotLK gave you passive bonuses, like extra stamina for miners and crit for skinners.
GL out-dpsing lock in 5 man. Anyway what I learned from endless is 1.locks, 2.mages, 3hunters, 4.elemental shaman, thats about it, Seen like 2 dps warriors for what a month.
lmao it doesnt matter what item comes up on the screen . he wants it more than anything lmao. i love it
Completionist in nutshell
This is what changed WOW from MMO we loved to MMO we barely play. It DOESN'T matter what class is the best, numbers aren't the only measure in this game. "The best class and the best players play it". Fuck no. There's always the most bugged class in each expansion, one build, one class and everyone wants to play it to be the top dmg. Like it's all what matters.
As a warlock main I can agree that Blizzard has blessed us.
Look at that graph at 3:30. Is it just me or did Blizzard improve the classes in order to turn that order around on its head? When I think about it they improved almost exactly the classes the amount needed in order to turn it upside down.
He said he's going mace spec. That means NO WARGLAIVES for you
Asmon can only say that because DKs in wrath will be balanced as opposed to what they were in 3.0 Frost Unholy spec fun form
I was just in an MC with a boomkin bragging they were higher on the meter than a rogue. Boomkin had all the epics a boomkin would ever want, rogue in questing greens, and its like "dood, what are you flexing?"
I hope he reacts to the "new" Gorak Video soon. Its pretty dope
Warriors have to wait for BT+Sunwell Armor pen gear doood
Pretty decent on stand still fights with full gearing /itemization.
Early TBC?
Nope, better to have a rogue then :P
Raids wants an Arms warrior due to its debuff being crazy good for BM hunters kekw, and even tank threat.
Slam can bypass swing timer reset now and u can even get it off in arena if ur good.
PVE rotation? Auto+MS -> slam -> auto+WW -> slam -> auto+MS -> slam -> auto+WW -> slam + Instant cast/shout. Repeat. :kekw:
I will still continue playing warrior this like this!!
Never understood prot in TBC. I main tanked kara and off-tanked BT as a fury warrior in def stance. Not only that, but I used pvp gear. 🤷🏾♂️
How to TBC Warlock DPS:
Press 1, then, Press 1 faster.
Classic Feral Druid right here son! And yeah I tank like a fucking legend! Get on my level bro! Lol
What is a good class play TBC on? Like I like ret but I know the ret of back in the day had a hot mess of seal-smah as a rotation.
Go lock, best tier sets and great damage, also super easy.
" It's going to take 3 days to reach lvl 70 " hahahahahahahahahahahaha good luck with that bro .
Yeah that ain’t happening.
You're right, it takes 1 day. If it takes you longer than 20 hours, TBC isn't for you.
@@aoaoaoaoaoaoaoa5701 you are SOO horribly wrong
Just shut up you are embarrassing

So much hate in these comment threads. Who cares what he does with his stream / content? How he gears? How he plays? It doesn’t affect you/ your gameplay whatsoever. So odd.
BRO just wait till they introduce armor penetration gear at black temple... my god man.. my god.
Lmao coming back hearing people say warrior was the worst tank in WotLK still makes me laugh as much as when I played OG WotLK
As a Prot Warrior we fucked people if we knew what we were doing in pvp and pve still to this day we do amazingly
We also have a ton of threat building with our massive damage.
Pallys and Dk always tell me to stop taunting till they realize it's just me attacking
Way back I stayed top 8 in a 25man which depended on how geared the Dks or Hunters were
Also to clarify I mean WotLK to this day
In current we still do good but DH is just too broken
Never got out dps'd by a warrior on my mage in Vanilla, world buff meta broke classic
Lolherald randomly stuns? What do you meeeaaaan? The tooltip literally reads:
Equip: Stun a Druid when he comes out of Dire Bear Form.
I have always leveled and mained a holy pally, in early expansions i literally eat while auto attacking and occasional now in TBC holy shock. Slow as hell. NO i am never going ret. :P
