I use a different towel every time I take a shower so works for me . I don’t spend a lot of time wiping it down either. I’m a 76 year old and I’ve cleaned places for years. I love seeing the man in the background taking out trash and sweeping etc. during this video. It is cracking me up. Hope he got a kiss and a thank you! Thanks for the great video and helpful info!
My rule is no shoes in the home. Remember you've probably have stepped in urine and spit in the public restrooms and no purses on the counters unless they have been disinfected.
You are my people! We leave our shoes in the garage. I do keep a pair of house shoes when I am going through my home. They never go outside and I periodically I wipe the bottoms of those as well.
The info was very helpful. I ordered the beeswax polish and lambs wool duster. I dusted my entire house today and cleaned my granite countertops with the polish. Very pleased with the results.
I LOVE her. She looks like my mom that I lost a few years ago, she was not a pro cleaner, but she did work for a few years with it with a best friend and she was great at it.
Magic eraser has to be used wet. Also for glass shower doors 0000 steel wool works great. I love the spray glass cleaner too! I start scummy shower doors with dawn power spray. Fabuloso makes me nausous and my lips go numb, so I feel its too toxic. I bought a bunch becuse i thought it smelled so nice. Thanks for the video ladies.
I have been cleaning homes for 30 years too and the very best cleaner for Stainless Steel is the spray foam spray from Weimans that is a silver can with a black top you can purchase from Walmart or Home Depot Works awesome and never streaks A real secret of mine is to use a sponge mop from Dollar General that even has a refill you can get and break off the white squeegee part and use it to clean your bath tub and shower Just use the shower hose to rinse and it comes out really shiny. 😊
When I had my cleaning business I always started from the back of the house and worked my way out the back door and it worked great for me, I learned some things from you.
I use an old cotton pillow case ( sprayed inside w pledge) to dust ceiling fan blades. Gently slide it over the blade and 😅then remove it and the dust. The pillow case catches the dust and then throw it into the wash.
the best bathroom cleaner that I have used on sinks, glass shower doors and bathtubs is in a spray bottle mix equal parts of Blue Dawn with equal parts of vinegar. Add water until the spray bottle is full. Spray on the surface, leave for a few minutes, then rinse off. For really tough stains scrub with a cloth or a shower puff. Rinse well. This combination spells quite strong of vinegar when you are using it so make sure to have a window open. You won't smell vinegar when it dries though. Great video and tips!
Christette C I'd like to try your cleaner recipe. I understand putting equal parts Dawn & vinegar but how much of each? And how much water? I hate the smell of vinegar but if it works like you say I'll try to hold my breath and do it! 😷
@@thatgirlthatsme hi jus. great question! I use a small botyle of blue Dawn 8 fluid ounces or so and empty it into a spray bottle about 24 fuid ounce size. then i pour same smount of vinegar as blue Dawn into the spray bottle. then fill up the rest of the soray bottle with tap water until the spray bottle is full. shake well to distribute the ingredients. let me know how you make out!
I wash my walls down twice a year with Murphy’s Oil Soap mixed with water. It doesn’t mar the paint and leaves the rooms looking clean and fresh. You paint less when you keep your walls clean. I also use it on my kitchen cabinetry. It leaves a nice sheen on them. I have laminate flooring in my kitchen and Pergo flooring throughout the rest of the house. The Fabuloso works great on both.
That was a fantastic and honest video. Love it. A tip from me to you; Use a little bit of dawn blue dishwashing detergent + small quantity of baking soda + white vinegar; Add in warm water even regular water does too; Mix it and spray it thoroughly on wherever hard soap scum is, especially on glass shower doors, Leave it for at least 15 minutes and then wipe it with two or three times with wet microfibre clothes and dry it. It is a fantastic cleaning recipe. You can strengthen it by adding more or less dawn liquid. Take care and keep smiling 🙂
I owned my own cleaning business..two ppl per home.. one starts in back the other from the front..always go before you commit to cleaning. ..I made arrangements to meet…saw the home and got the cleaning products they wanted on their furniture and and fixture…plus is it one time clean or weekly.
Hi guys!!! Good job Mel!! Cleaning is my thing 😁. I don’t do it for a living, it’s just something I’ve always enjoyed doing. Lol, nothing like having a clean house ☺️.
Hi donna. Clean makes you feel good.....loke things are in order. I used to work in an office and come home and clean every day to destress. Then it became a career😉
I've always loved cleaning, and the periods in my life when I needed help from an outside company due to concentrating on other areas of my life, I did not like it because I always knew that I do a more thorough job. I wear gloves to protect my hands when doing "wet cleaning", and I have a different pair for bathrooms vs. kitchen. And I always do my bathrooms last since they have the most germs. Even in the bathrooms, I clean from cleanest areas (mirrors, counters) to dirtiest (toilets are always last).
I started doing professional cleaning a little over 10 years ago. I thought I knew what I was doing but I realize now that I knew nothing. I have learned a lot over the years through trial and error, recommendations of my clients and looking things up on the internet to see if they might work. I still pick up new tricks often. I charge a flat hourly rate with a 3 hour minimum on my jobs. I clean stainless steel in kitchens by pre-cleaning the surfaces with whatever multi-surface cleaner I have and then polish it with dusting spray on a rag. Go with the grain on the stainless steel. The dusting spray is not that great at removing food residue but it leaves a nice shine so that's why I do the two-step process. I have found that not all cleansers are the same. I used Comet and Ajax for years until I discovered Bar Keepers Friend. It comes in a powder or a liquid. I have used both and they are both good. The Bar Keepers Friend cleanser does magic things sometimes. It is good at removing calcium build up in bathrooms and black marks on porcelain kitchen sinks. I had a client with a white porcelain sink that I cleaned every two weeks for seven years. She had a few black marks from pans in the sink and I had tried everything to remove them. I used soft scrub and bleach cleaners and soaking with bleach. I used vinegar and baking soda and Comet as well as other spray cleaners. Nothing worked. Then we tried the Bar Keepers Friend powder cleanser. It removed them in one swipe. I couldn't believe it. Like you said, everybody's house is different. There are all different types of woods and even stainless steel differences. Some are easy to clean and some are not. Just because a product works at one house does not mean it will work on the next one. If one product does not work on the particular thing that you're trying to clean, try something else. Another surface I had a difficult time with was a white plastic handle on a refrigerator. It was nasty with grime from dirty hands. I have tried several different kinds of cleaners and then one day I was cleaning the floor with Armstrong floor cleaner and I decided to try a little bit on that handle and it cleaned it off. It only worked in that one circumstance though. I have tried it again since and it did not work. You do have to be careful when cleaning granite to be sure that what you're using is not too acidic. You should not use anything with lemon or vinegar. I have found that using isopropyl alcohol and water in a 50/50 mixture in a spray bottle alcohol is not only extremely inexpensive but leaves a clean, shiny, disinfected surface and is actually recommended for cleaning granite. I've heard good things about Fabuloso but have not tried it myself. I would like to find something that works on all types of floors, especially very shiny tile floors that are sometimes hard to leave streak free. I have found that the multi surface floor cleaner made by Armstrong works good on several different types of flooring. That is the one I use on difficult shiny floors. Sometimes you have to buff them with a clean dry dust mop. I have even done what I call the towel dance by putting towels underneath my feet and shimmy around the floor to shine it up . Only in extreme circumstances though . Like I said, each circumstances different. A couple of other recommendations I have on cleaners from experience are not using the cheapest dusting spray. I thought they were all the same. I believe it was Favor dusting spray that I had a difficult time getting shine on wood surfaces with. Now I use Endust or Pledge. My clients like the smell and I like the results of using a multi purpose cleaner like lemon Lysol or lemon 409. When I first started cleaning, I tried to cheap out and use car windshield washer fluid for cleaning windows. I do not suggest this on interior mirrors and windows. I do not suggest the cheapest window cleaner either. Something like Windex works well and I have also used the foaming window spray like you use. I have found that the foaming window spray is superior in cleaning most glass surfaces, especially exterior windows and car windows. it cuts through the grime and leaves a nice shine. I prefer inexpensive paper towels, but not necessarily the cheapest ones. Again trial and error. Some of the better quality paper towels leave dust behind when cleaning glass. the lower quality ones tend to fall apart. The blue shop paper towels work well and last long but they are expensive. Even the types of rags you use can make a difference in your cleaning experience. I like old terry cloth wash cloths. Or some microfiber towels. You just have to try them to see what you like best. You want something absorbent that leaves a nice streak-free shine. Another tip I have on the rags is when washing them, wash them separately in hot water with laundry detergent and bleach and no fabric softener. Do not use fabric softener sheets when drying them in the dryer. The fabric softener on rags tends to leave streaky surfaces. No matter what type of cleaning you're doing, it is usually best to work from top to bottom cleaning the higher surfaces first and ending with the floor. I also usually leave one toilet to clean last so that I have somewhere to dump my dirty mop water and can leave the toilet clean when I'm done.
My 7 year old son gets dirty hand prints all over walls! My favorite way to clean my painted walls (for that very issue) is to put either pinesol OR a tbs of powdered tide and a dash of bleach in the sink, dip an old washcloth or microfiber cloth in it, wring it out and wipe down. Which one I use depends on what I want to smell! I use satin finish latex paint on all of my walls.
** Its Fabuloso*** which means "Fabulous "in Spanish ,lol . They also have a "baby room" scent that is really hard to find and it is simply amazing , soft scented not over whelming , when i use it every one always compliments the scent !! Great video ladies !!!
I highly Recommend water and vinegar on all wood flooring whether it’s real or laminate. Use a spray bottle and go over it with a floor steamer. The heat from the steamer gets into your hardwood floor cracks. You’d be amazed how clean your floors will look afterwards. My cleaning lady uses the same. I also prefer my cleaner to use my vacuum verses there’s due to dander from other people’s homes because I’m allergic to animals. Everyone is going to have their own opinion but my advice is to try it to see what you think. On tile Once & Done is a non-rinsable cleaner that tile companies highly recommend. Your feet will love you😊
My hat is off to Cousin Mel! I HATE to clean! I like a clean house but I truly hate cleaning. Especially dusting. So cleaning for a living??? You go girl! We have a golden retriever (5th one). I cleaned for 15 yrs and all my were big houses and and I so ocd I know I didn't get paid enough and glass shower I hated .My people would have then all pick up and stuff off vanity I also done laundry too but they were all so good to me like family
Love it, beautiful home your in today, love the colors. Lots of good information. I have this problem, I start in one room, as I’m cleaning I find things that go into another room. I take it in that room, before I know it,every room is messer than when I started I just throw my hands up,not knowing what happened. I’m too tired to work anymore that day. I have a bad back, need knee replacement just can’t do what I use to do,can’t afford any help. I remember getting on my knees to scrub the floors, but you get the edges, and trim, sure glad they have all the neat mops, now,and sweepers. Now if I could stay in one room at a time,it never works that way. Looks like a tornado just came through. Loved your video thanks for sharing,God Bless 💐💕
One tip that has helped me with running between rooms is to use an empty laundry basket (or a smaller bin if I am finding little lost items) at the door where I’m cleaning. When I find something that belongs in another room, I toss it in the basket. I just move the basket around the house with me and put things away as I get to that area. If I find lost items in the last areas that belong in the first areas I cleaned, it is one more lap through the house with the basket, my “cool-down” lap where I can go admire the finished work as the last few bits are put back in place. Other tips that work for different family sizes and houses: every family member has a labeled bin / box in a central location (laundry room, mud room, corner of kitchen) and lost things are returned to the bins for each person to return. When I have lived in houses with stairs, I kept a collecting bin at the top and bottom and every time I went up or down, I carried something with me to put away. Hope it helps. Now I need to work on my house! Blessings and health to all.

Hey there. Excellent. I hope you love it. A little tip. The handles are a bit long. So i cut abour 3 or 4 inches off the handle so it makes dusting easier
Pretty late to the party, but I love these ladies! Thank you for sharing your tips! Magic erasers are amazing, usse them as a last resort as they're like very fine grit sandpaper. I've wiped the enamel off of my tub over the years :/ Satin or matte paint you use water, if at all, most times just touch up paint can help it. The more gloss the easier to clean!

shower I squeegee the glass doors every time. Monthly I deep clean and also spray with rain X If you have tiled walls in the shower after cleaning I put on a thin layer of light wax ( rain X and paste wax yes like on your car )
Thank you Mel for all the wonderful advice... Especially about the Stainless Steel... Glad to see you smiling Anne... Can't wait for your next video!!!
I make my own beeswax furniture polish and it’s excellent. I had citrus to it and it smells nice and it leaves such a soft glow without any residue. Just thought I’d share that.❤
I have a 1930 brick house with wood floors throughout made of oak with walnut trim. I use Murphy's soap sparingly to wash these floors.. Also use it on my wood doors. It cleans and shines.
For messy grime on refrig from kids use WD 40. Spray clothe and wipe away. Have sliding glass doors, windows, screens, use bees wax which you can purchase in sewing supply store, on rails. Clean first before applying. Can use WD 40 as well.
Hi guys - a little deviation from the regular decorating videos today - Since we have a professional cleaner on board I thought it would be fun to learn from Cousin Mel today. Watch as she shares her expertise in my condo that I'm cleaning to sell!
Great video I love cleaning, I used Quick Shine that works pretty good. But first you must clean the floor, with hot water and vinegar mop it once dry. Sweep the floor, now you are ready for your floor to shine, do areas at a time, Do not walk on it for 9 hours so it's best to do it at night before bed. Use a micro fiber mop to put the quick and shine. I clean walls, my mom taught us that when we were little, put some hot water and vinegar on the wall to take the stain from the wall good luck and thanks !!!!
👍Dust first, then kitchen & baths, then floors, great advice, great product advice. Thanks for posting. We have to use the disposable dusters cause we have dogs & the dirt they drag in would destroy that nice duster in one day, but it would be nice. Glass shower doors with water marks can be temporarily made to look nicer with oil. It can’t fix water etched marks but it helps loosen mineral deposits from hard water.
Hello everyone and thanks Soo much for the info on cleaning. I'm starting up my own cleaning business and these tips are Godsends. Thanks you soo much and you rock Mrs Mel!!!
Hi Anne ! Great to see you doing something ,even if it’s not decorating. This was a good video , great tips ! And seeing you and cousin Mel together is great fun ! You two are funny together ! Much love to you Anne ! 😘💕❤️
To tap the dust off in the house I think would just put that dust back in the air to land back on the surfaces, I love the swifter dusters and no wax on wood on a regular basis will cause build up, Murphy's is the best on wood.
I love cleaning. I know, crazy 😂 I cleaned homes for 12 years in my mom's business before she closed it and started another one. I went to work the office job 9 to 5 for 5 years and I was miserable! sitting all day same place every.single.day! 😭😫 I was so feed up I decided I wanted to start my own business, I saved three months worth of my salary to survive, but within a month I was making almost what my ex employer paid me 😂 anyway, I love to help people's lives, the reaction they have when their homes are clean, they seem more calm and happier. That's what I love!! I also love the physicality of it all 😀👍 I agree with Mel that each client is different, for example I use 3 different wood polishes because different clients like different products and also they have different surfaces. And yes, all bathroom cleaners tell you in the label you need to let them sit for at least 10 minutes because they are desinfectants and you want to kill bacteria and viruses and that's how long it takes to kill them 😉
Method Daily Shower Spray - We never have to squeegee the shower. We do a quick spray with this and there are no streaks or soap scum on the surfaces. Very light scent so acceptable to me.

I love seeing the man in the background taking out trash and sweeping etc. during this video. It is cracking me up. Hope he got a kiss and a thank you! Thanks for the great video and helpful info!
LOL that's cute! Thank you!
My rule is no shoes in the home. Remember you've probably have stepped in urine and spit in the public restrooms and no purses on the counters unless they have been disinfected.
Those are very good ideas
That's my rule too!!! I always leave the shoes in the front hall!
You are my people! We leave our shoes in the garage. I do keep a pair of house shoes when I am going through my home. They never go outside and I periodically I wipe the bottoms of those as well.
That’s a great idea to have a pair of house shoes! Thanks fir that idea!
When I was growing up we always left shoes on.
The info was very helpful. I ordered the beeswax polish and lambs wool duster. I dusted my entire house today and cleaned my granite countertops with the polish. Very pleased with the results.
Oh good - so glad Danielle! I use both things as well and I LOVE them!
I LOVE her. She looks like my mom that I lost a few years ago, she was not a pro cleaner, but she did work for a few years with it with a best friend and she was great at it.
Linn Soltwedel aw that’s so sweet! I’m so sorry about your mom...
Anne Clay Home Decor Tips She just seems like one of those real nice people that are just all about being a good human :)
She totally is!!!!
I’m sorry Linn. Mom’s are special.
This was great. I love her!
I have been cleaning homes for 30 years too and the very best cleaner for Stainless Steel is the spray foam spray from Weimans that is a silver can with a black top you can purchase from Walmart or Home Depot
Works awesome and never streaks
A real secret of mine is to use a sponge mop from Dollar General that even has a refill you can get and break off the white squeegee part and use it to clean your bath tub and shower
Just use the shower hose to rinse and it comes out really shiny. 😊
what a lovely lady! learned so much! thanks!
Oh, just wanted to add...they make a washable microfiber sleeve for the lambswool duster. You can put that on for really heavy dust areas.
Thank you!! Good tip!
This is the video ive been needing! All these fancy ones have been useless, this is great. Thanks yall
You’re welcome!
When I had my cleaning business I always started from the back of the house and worked my way out the back door and it worked great for me, I learned some things from you.
Glad that you enjoyed Mel's tips! That works too - in one door and out the other! Love it!
I use an old cotton pillow case ( sprayed inside w pledge) to dust ceiling fan blades. Gently slide it over the blade and 😅then remove it and the dust. The pillow case catches the dust and then throw it into the wash.
Cousin Mel is Awesome! I wanna see her house, I bet it’s amazing ❤️ Anne your home is spotless
Check out my other videos, we have quite a few tours of Mels house. Look at my spring home tour, that’s her!
Thanks. Yes. Check out the past videos
I have a mop bucket with two chambers. One to rinse the dirt off and one with clean cleaner. I love it.
Oooh where did you find that mop bucket? What a fabulous idea.
@@PJSparkles100 ya know, I've had it so long I don't recall. Probably just Wal-Mart. I believe its Rubbermaid
@@V.Hansen. thank you!!!!!! I added it to my next shopping list. 😊
the best bathroom cleaner that I have used on sinks, glass shower doors and bathtubs is in a spray bottle mix equal parts of Blue Dawn with equal parts of vinegar.
That's a great tip!! Thank you so much!!!
@@AnneClay hope it works out for you!
Thank you.. it Did! Had three offers in 1 day! I have a staging video that shows what I did!
Christette C
I'd like to try your cleaner recipe.
Mel is my kinda people!! She seems really sweet and easy going 🥰
Yes she is
This was so informative! I can’t believe Mel brings all her own equipment and does so much for her customers.
Glad this gave you some tips. I do take all my own things. Its easier. Then i know its there. Lol
Cindi L she’s amazing and works hard! She always is in demand!
This lady is amazing! I learned a lot. But mostly, I want her to come clean my house!
Ahhh great advice. Thanks so much
Thanks for sharing Susie - always good to hear what someone else does!!
That was a fantastic and honest video.
Love it.
A tip from me to you;
Use a little bit of dawn blue dishwashing detergent + small quantity of baking soda + white vinegar;
Add in warm water even regular water does too;
Mix it and spray it thoroughly on wherever hard soap scum is, especially on glass shower doors,
Leave it for at least 15 minutes and then wipe it with two or three times with wet microfibre clothes and dry it.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for your input - great tips!
Try Mr Clean Magic Eraser on white refrigerator doors. It’s amazing!
Thanks
Oh
Loved Mel!!!!
Oh thank you!
For glass shower doors I use a moistened fabric softener sheet (can use a used one] , moisten the sheet, scrub the glass and then rinse off
Oooo great idea. Thanks for this!
Ooh that's a great tips - thank you!!!
Your feet will love you😊
Thanks for the great tip!
My hat is off to Cousin Mel! I HATE to clean! I like a clean house but I truly hate cleaning. Especially dusting. So cleaning for a living??? You go girl! We have a golden retriever (5th one). Love him to death but oh my goodness, the fur!!! The cat sheds but not as much. Love your videos. You two together are a hoot. Hope you are feeling better. Keep us updated.
Oh thanks. Yes. I cant believe 32 years later i still like it. Lol. Ive been bleases with a good business, so i am thankful. Animals ans kids are job security😃
Thank you Jean - I love a clean house and hate to clean too! And animals DO make a mess - I've got 2 little dogs!
I cleaned for 15 yrs and all my were big houses and and I so ocd I know I didn't get paid enough and glass shower I hated .My people would have then all pick up and stuff off vanity
I also done laundry too but they were all so good to me like family
You sound like me - I'm very disjointed in my cleaning - Mel is so nice and orderly! I need a cleaning peson too! Glad you enjoy my videos!
I'm with her on the cleaning. I have the same routine as well. I also love Resolve. I enjoyed this video. Two very nice, sweet ladies. Take care.
Thank you so much!!
This video is good. Thank you for sharing your tips.
I'd like go maybe suggest editing out the "yeahs, and okays" from the camera person. The questions she asked were really good though!
I've been doing this 10 yrs. It's neat to hear how others do it.
I clean my shower glass with vinegar & dawn dish liquid then I spray with rainX. Works great.
That's a great idea!
I love fabuloso and the sprayway window cleaner too!
Awesome. Dont they both work so well!!!
Look Mel - you're on trend!
I use dawn dish soap in my tub and tile. It breaks down the build up with minimal scrubbing.
Good tip! Thank you!
Add vinegar on a one to one basis with the dawn
I use Dawn too, but use a stiff broom to clean the tub. Works great and no bending over!
I use this as well.
Oh love all the tips. Thank you so much for sharing. I use baking soda and vinegar around my faucet . Let it sit for about 10 minutes and it will come right off. Hugs!
Great tip Rosemary - thank you!
Glad you liked it. Baking soda is grear for a lot of things too
The animals and the jambs wool duster made me laugh! I love your channel your cousin Mel!
😊
Thanks.. she’s a hoot!
Hi! I am watching this video again! Today I went back to get the ratio of Fabuloso to water. Thanks again for such a great video!
So glad it was helpful!
Thanks Mel for the tips. I ordered the lambs wool thingy!
Hey there.
I've wiped the enamel off of my tub over the years :/
Satin or matte paint you use water, if at all, most times just touch up paint can help it.
The more gloss the easier to clean!
You are so welcome! Thanki you!!
Mel ,ihave books ,and bookcases ,how do you clean them.
Lol so in my recent video she actually talks about how she doesn't read - so not sure she cleans bookcases either - altho I would say her little hand held duster would be the ticket!
does Fabuloso work for luxury vinyl plank?
Just love cousin Mel...I knew we had something in common. She sparked my love of primitive pumpkin head people. I have worked as a custodian for 15 years, its alot of hff ard work we use alot of what she does.
She's a hoot and yes she loves pumpkin head people too!
All stainless steel is not equal... warm water with a bit if dawn works wonders, then buff dry with a goid microfiber cloth
Hello, my sister was a cleaner also, she gave me sooo many tips, I luv this video. I have watched it several times. Sorry, my sis did not like fabuloso.
So glad you’re enjoying it!!! We’re doing a sequel soon!
I just finished your video and learned a lot from your friend. Glad I found your channel. I enjoyed listening to the 2 of you talk. I'll come back and watch more of your videos another time when I can't sleep. And btw your home is really pretty.
Dianne
So nice to have you here!!! And thank you!
shower I squeegee the glass doors every time.
Vicci Ka Ellis hi! More to come!
Absolutely
Thanks so so much for this video. Very informative, helpful
I make my own beeswax furniture polish and it’s excellent. I had citrus to it and it smells nice and it leaves such a soft glow without any residue. Just thought I’d share that.❤

The best!
I have a 1930 brick house with wood floors throughout made of oak with walnut trim. I use Murphy's soap sparingly to wash these floors.. Also use it on my wood doors. It cleans and shines.
Thanks for sharing Mary - yes Murphy's smells so good too!
I have a lambs fur duster. I don't use any spray and it's great
Another you tuber tried Brillo for the glass doors after trying everything. She is so happy now!
Welcome to my curls is the you tuber regarding the Brillo for glass shower doors!
Thank you!
Thank you!
Thank you for this wonderful advice.
For messy grime on refrig from kids use WD 40. Spray clothe and wipe away. Have sliding glass doors, windows, screens, use bees wax which you can purchase in sewing supply store, on rails. Clean first before applying. Can use WD 40 as well.
Thanks to Cousin Mel for her willingness to do this video! Oh, and I love the smell of Fabulouso! It has a sweet lavender smell.
You are welcome. It was fun to do. Especially since i didnt have to clean. I do love the fabuloso
Mel's the BEST! I'm glad she was willing too - very generous of her to do this!
I’m in Australia. What is Fabuloso? Is it dish detergent?
No it’s a floor cleaner. May be in a spray bottle too.
I love Cousin Mel!
Dana Moore that’s sweet!
Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the tips!
That house is adorable!! Thanks for the tips Mel!
Thanks the house sold in 1 day!!
What is the purpose off the beeswax on the duster?
I think it attracts the dust to the duster
👍Dust first, then kitchen & baths, then floors, great advice, great product advice. Thanks for posting. We have to use the disposable dusters cause we have dogs & the dirt they drag in would destroy that nice duster in one day, but it would be nice. Glass shower doors with water marks can be temporarily made to look nicer with oil. It can’t fix water etched marks but it helps loosen mineral deposits from hard water.
👋🇦🇺🙂The trouble for me is all our brands are different here in Australia. A problem with copyright.
Hello everyone and thanks Soo much for the info on cleaning. I'm starting up my own cleaning business and these tips are Godsends. Thanks you soo much and you rock Mrs Mel!!!
Do do refrigerator? How does that go?

Mel takes good care of me!
Were trying😙
Good ideas♥️
Down to earth lady. I love her!
The real deal.
Great advice ❤
To tap the dust off in the house I think would just put that dust back in the air to land back on the surfaces, I love the swifter dusters and no wax on wood on a regular basis will cause build up, Murphy's is the best on wood.
Thanks for sharing. All I know is that Mel has it down to a science and when she leaves a house, there is no dust around.
Thanks for all the great tips Mel and that is hard work! Thanks for sharing !
Sheila B it is hard work! She’s very strong!
Hi there. Thanks. It is hard work. I should be a size 2. 😆
I love cleaning. I know, crazy 😂
I cleaned homes for 12 years in my mom's business before she closed it and started another one. I went to work the office job 9 to 5 for 5 years and I was miserable! sitting all day same place every.single.day! 😭😫
I was so feed up I decided I wanted to start my own business, I saved three months worth of my salary to survive, but within a month I was making almost what my ex employer paid me 😂 anyway, I love to help people's lives, the reaction they have when their homes are clean, they seem more calm and happier. That's what I love!! I also love the physicality of it all 😀👍
I agree with Mel that each client is different, for example I use 3 different wood polishes because different clients like different products and also they have different surfaces. And yes, all bathroom cleaners tell you in the label you need to let them sit for at least 10 minutes because they are desinfectants and you want to kill bacteria and viruses and that's how long it takes to kill them 😉
Hi Kanita, I'm just starting out (I'm a guy) what wood polishes do you use and what do you use in the bathroom and the glass doors? Thanks.
Method Daily Shower Spray - We never have to squeegee the shower. We do a quick spray with this and there are no streaks or soap scum on the surfaces. Very light scent so acceptable to me.
