(Now I just hope DC and Marvel Subvert my expectations again by giving Batman and Spiderman some peace)
@@TheVnator its because in the multiverse or whatever thats not really explaiend well in the recap, there are universes that naturally favor negative outcomes and paths over heroic ones. So villains are the name of the game and heroes the ones constantly losing in those worlds. The idea is that the particular world is especially bad.

Well, as it's revealed later, Owlman is the only thing constant in all multiverses, as he's the antithesis to Batman, and Batman exists in all universes. Whatever he chooses to do, actually doesn't matter, because he will always exist.
Honestly i don't like this backstory for owlman, i prefer his other back story where his parents where shot, goes full batman and tries to get the guy who shot his parents to justice. When he captures the guy he founds out that his parents where corrupt murderers and snaps as his entire life was a lie, he then lets the guy fall off to his death becoming nihilistic where "nothing matters". I think that bsckstory is just way better than just shooting his parents, and it also ties into how he's opposite to batman.

Thomas lost his parents and his younger brother Bruce similar to how Bruce lost his parents in the main universe. With the one a corrupt cop rather than a mugger. It looks like he’s going to go down the exact same path that Bruce did even going as far as to catch the corrupt cop and bring in the justice, but then, as soon as he finds out that his parents were just as bad, if not worse than the cop who killed them, ends up the shrew entire worldview because everything he has been building up for up to was built so he becomes to the realization that nothing matters. That’s a lot more compelling than Thomas Wayne jr. killing his parents and his younger brother because he thinks they’re using their money wrong that’s just stupid. he probably would’ve been better if he did that just because he was a sociopath from the start and simply wanted the family fortune all to himself.

Incredibly dark. But it somehow feels try hard. Like they just set out to make a more edgy and disturbing Batman. The Owlman I remember was meticulous and calculating. Not just some random psycho. It makes the character feel less interesting. But this video was very well done!!! Excellent narration!

In the primary continuity, Thomas and Martha Wayne are kind hearted individuals who truly want to give back to the world that has treated them so well, but in this universe, it’s heavily implied that Martha Wayne beats her kids and that Thomas Wayne has a sick mutilation fetish. Even Bruce, who is just another victim in this timeline is shown to be a spoiled brat, compared to the normal universe where he has always been a selfless, compassionate man. Even though I don’t think this version of Bruce would’ve been evil I definitely could’ve seen him being the playboy narcissist the normal universe Batman pretends to be when his mask is off. With all that in mind, not that it justifies his behavior, but you can see why Thomas Wayne Junior turned out the way he did given his family life, since unlike the primary Wayne, this version of them are truly some messed up individuals

The Dark Multiverse was recently introduced. Basically it is on the negative side of the Multiverse (each Earth is identified with a negative number). In each universe in the Dark Multiverse they were the same in the regular universe until some change caused each of them to go in a disastrous direction. Unlike in the Elseworlds stories, everything in the Dark Multiverse is in continuity. As an example, in the Dark Multiverse version of "The Blackest Night" Sinestro didn't give up the White Lantern power as he did in the regular DCU. As a result, everyone in that Universe died except for Lobo who became the template for life in the Universe.

In the recent "Metal Men" miniseries they pointed to an event that occurred in "Metal Men" #2. In the Dark Multiverse version of the story a robot duplicate of Doc Magnus (created by Tina) made a statement that caused the robots to turn on humanity and destroy it. When we return to that universe it is dying and Plutonium (one of the robots that the robot version of Doc Magnus made) wants to escape to the regular DC Universe before his universe dies. The Dark Multiverse was recently introduced. Basically it is on the negative side of the Multiverse (each Earth is identified with a negative number). In each universe in the Dark Multiverse they were the same in the regular universe until some change caused each of them to go in a disastrous direction. Unlike in the Elseworlds stories, everything in the Dark Multiverse is in continuity.
As an example, in the Dark Multiverse version of "The Blackest Night" Sinestro didn't give up the White Lantern power as he did in the regular DCU. As a result, everyone in that Universe died except for Lobo who became the template for life in the Universe.

@@AnotherrandomaltOBC When it comes to the Dark Multiverse, from what I understand it consists of universes that should have never been and are self destructing. In the recent "Metal Men" miniseries they pointed to an event that occurred in "Metal Men" #2. In the Dark Multiverse version of the story a robot duplicate of Doc Magnus (created by Tina) made a statement that caused the robots to turn on humanity and destroy it. When we return to that universe it is dying and Plutonium (one of the robots that the robot version of Doc Magnus made) wants to escape to the regular DC Universe before his universe dies.
