What I like most about absolute batman is seeing how he's still choose to be a hero. In most iterations of batman it's always the lost of his parents that make him dawn the mask and sometime if he keeps them never touches being batman. So having a batman lose his dad, be a genius, be middle class, and have all the reasons to turn a blind eye to crime and still chooses to be a hero is amazing. Plus I love seeing how while batman may break things in his pursuit of crime Bruce Wayne helps to repair. Kind fixing my beef of prime bruce wayne being more of the mask for batman.

I hope Rob covers all of the Absolute universe, his narrations are my favorite way to enjoy comics.
The emphasis on Bruce’s mother still being alive adds a unique layer to the emotional stakes of this Batman story, giving it more parallels to Peter Parker's dynamic in Marvel. Ultimately, Alfred's internal conflict about whether to stop Bruce, contrasted with Bruce's determination, makes this a very engaging reimagining of the Batman mythos.

The part where Batman says "What ever you hear do not open this door" is cool as shit. But the scene where it shows its the last thing his dad said before locking him in the Bat house hits SOOOOO HARD

Im just realizing absolute is another ongoing universe. To be sure absolute isn't a reboot,its another universe alongside the normal dc universe.
It's basically the Ultimate Marvel universe vs the mainstream Marvel.
Darkseid made sure of that.

I get Bats is wealthy, bonkers, and has a very high intelligence quotient while his emotional quotient is more in question or question marked but it would make more sense if his standard gear was like Iron Man's that way him going up against far more skilled and powerful opponents could make a little more of a knock knock yeah.

He specifically does not wear an ironman style outfit to prevent gotham criminals from using escalating force. If he uses power armor then gangs etc will start investing in more anti batman tech.

The woman at the town hall speaking in defense of Gordon was Martha Wayne not Selina. Alfred’s thoughts about Bruce at the end weren’t that deep, he was literally wondering where he would land the bike after driving it off a skyscraper, it even intercuts with a sign from the bat habitat saying “Bats are crazy”.

I would argue this is what Nolan was trying to do when he made the dark knight trilogy Scott Synder has truly created the most realistic batman ever.

At first I was gonna roll my eyes at the design and thought it was gonna be just Dark Multiverse stuff all over again but this man..I'm excited to see this world play out. I love that his mom is still alive as a moral compass, I love that he doesn't have money and everything is literally just him being a smart dude who studied and worked out.

As a comic fan that's basically hated what the comic book industry has turned into these days, just not into what's being produced the last 7 years story wise and decision wise, I have to say,
Absolute Batman was awesome.
They went all out on this story . I'm really impressed .
Seems to me that DC took their number one man and threw him into a Spiderman mixer and effectively stole at least half of Marvel's number one hero... Spiderman! They just twisted it towards what a real demented super genius would do to become a super hero. Great story but that crappy Bat costume is "Absolutely" awful with a square on his chest instead of the classic Bat on it.

Here’s a few ideas I had for Absolute Batman universe
Penguin: known as the Chinstrap Penguin because of his chin strap beard. I would make him a large Black man with lots of diamond jewellery, because it would resemble ice encrusting his body. He could get the name penguin because he freezes his enemies in meat lockers.
Riddler: Man who lost his face and memory from an unfortunate accident. Due to his amnesia he cannot recall who he was or what he looked like. Develops severe paranoia and becomes the Riddler as a means of questioning reality. Maybe even have his origin blend with Clayface’s. He is always turning into other people, therefore he is a living riddle.
Bane: comes to Gotham as an illegal immigrant while young. Gets into illegal underground fighting going by the name the “Chupacabra”. Could have him be not exceptionally tall or well built. While fighting an opponent breaks his back over his knee. He has to go to a street doctor for medical care. Dr says he won’t walk again. A big pharma corporation offers him this new miracle drug called “Nightfall”. He accepts, however the drug transforms him into a monstrous creature. Different to Bane, he is more monstrous in appearance. He is wheelchair bound when the serum wears off. Gets the name Bane from a mispronunciation of a bad tattoo he got on his arm saying “no bien”
Calling it now, Alfred is a proto Deathstroke
Imagine Alfred takes the death stroke mantle and we just end up getting the early 20s teen titan animated version of death stroke but just call him Slade.

Well, now I need to go get Absolute Batman. That was a solid good start to the story.

Absolutely loved it till the end when you guessed it! We’re getting another Batman Vs Joker Story. Was low key kinda hoping he wouldn’t be a big part of this take on Batman. Would have loved maybe an original villain or a reworking of a different villain? Hush? Azazel? R’as? somebody we didn’t see coming?
Basically, more of batman normally close villians are getting the two face treatment. Friends of Bruce Wayne. Or grew up with him. Or that one black cop in the animated series who became clayface.
