@@jackkellybuilds crazy what parts cost, that’s the reason so many bikes just get ridden into the ground. I’d build em all day everyday if I had a magic parts room lol.
I'm so excited to watch this series!! I just got a 99 rmx that has been kept on a garage and driven around the block twice a year. It's got 9 miles on it total.
wow, you are awesome, very talented. I have a 97 RMX and I want to do the upper end. I’m 63 yrs old and you have given me the knowledge and confidence to make it happen. Thank you. Great job!!!
Looks great Jack , just wanted to say thanks for all the info on your build it helped a lot while I was building mine . Always good to have a reference when building.
Underrated channel i watched the RMX time-lapse and was thinking you would have near a few hundred thousand subscribers. Keep up the awesome work. Would love to buy one of your bikes in the near future
Your series was awesome! it helped me rebuild my own. I just need some decent graphics to make it look as good as it runs. Where did you get yours from? Or do you have any recommendations for getting graphics for this? Especially considering the US didn't ever get the same shrouds as AUS.

Yeah most likely because I have an RM250 cylinder head, 15 I suppose is what worked best on the dyno. Once I ride it some more I might want to make changes but so far it feels great
Please answer, I am from Brasil and I am rebuilding my RMX 250 1997 for Street. But my lateral number plate and rear fender is different from your RMX. How can I found it to put in my bike?
Love it mate, when you say 'road legal' do you mean rec reg in vic? or full reg? Ive got a 98 RMX 250 but its got run on issues where it revs out to the moon almost immediately after starting. Any ideas? thanks for the vids.
Hey mate, it’s full road rego! As for your issue, sounds like a good carburettor disassembly & clean out would be good, possibly has a stuck choke, jet needle or float needle, sounds like it’s getting way too much fuel. May even just be a stuck throttle…
@@jackkellybuilds hey mate thanks for the info, planing on going through it when the other projects give it some time. Good luck with everything and keep the vids up
You definitely did great mate. You should be proud of yourself. Thanks for the great mini tv show lol. Could you please help me? Do you know if the Fmf fatty pipe and the silencer from RM250 will fit on the RMX250? Both at the same year range 1996-2000 Thanks
So good, i'ld say 8k after rebuilding the engine and all the dynoing.
Good guess. You were the closest, total build cost was roughly 8.5k

Wow such low mileage for how old the bike is at this point, must be real tidy

Bike looks so amazing
thank you!
Man it’s come out so well
Thanks Brodie, I appreciate it!

Thank you! I got my graphics from rival ink
Great job, unique machine 🙌
thanks mate, I appreciate the comment! especially from a much larger channel
What a great looking bike
Thanks mate!
Hey Jack why did you go with mikuni and not Keihin card as fitted stock .
The stock Keihin is known to be not that great of a carburettor as the choke and idle are on the same circuit. Which makes them hard to tune ect
Also I wanna see some wheelies on the channel please 😍
Haha I don’t want to end up on news for hooning

Did I hear right that you're running a 15 idle jet? 🧐

Have you still got this bike. Would love to see another video of it. I had one I bought new in 98.
Amazing job.
Congrats.
Thank you I appreciate the comment

my rear fender is off and rm250 and the rear plate holder is a universal one from eBay
Fantastic job, I love the yellow/black split. Who did your retro shroud graphics?
Thank you! They’re by SKDA
Looks mint 👍
Thanks mate!
Gawd damn that thing is hot I’m probably gonna build mine
Thanks mate!
Did they say anything about having race numbers on it when you went for roadworthy/rego? Heard conflicting information as wether it’s illegal or not.
No nothing mentioned about it at all
What blinkers are those and where do I buy them?
eBay mate
Excellent
Thank you! Cheers!
Loved it.
thank you!
Damn boy that’s clean! The pipe looks unreal how’d you get it so nice? I’m gonna guess $7320 total cost
Thanks mate, pipe was wire wheeled back to bare metal then hit with a blow torch to put the heat marks back into the welds.

Hope you got this sorted at the carb, but if you haven't got there yet, check your crank seals ;-)
Also who did your dyno work.
Cheers

thanks mate, I'm glad you enjoyed it. apparently they do fit with a very small amount of work, but I have not tried it myself.

@@JRRN12345 no problem mate, the headlight is a polisport VMX
I’d guess about 7k?
And wowee fucking mint

Nice Bike!!.... 3k
Thanks!
Need you to rebuild mine for me.
Hahah luckily I have a how to build series on this exact engine, so you’d be able to do it yourself!
Definitely wouldn’t trust myself to 😂
