Great information in this video and I am humbled by the mention. Couldn't do it without the right people guiding me and Lund Racing behind the keys working their magic.
I used to be completely adverse to the Gen 2 6r80 cars because they're not that fast from the factory. You've demonstrated they have some of the best potential though. Thank you.
Idk why people care about stock performance anyways who stays stock? I judge cars on what can they do with simple mods. They can be quick na and especially boosted and once you're making big power the 6r is better than the 10r it holds up better and the gearing is better for big power.
Thanks! man!! Great info, this is my favorite content!l, you alway break it down succinctly and we’ll. Look for me in the Lund ticket system, getting revisions from you so now - David R
Man I’m dying for the 3rd gen videos. I love this series even though I have a 3rd gen it’s hella great knowledge which is the best part about this channel. I also don’t understand why people don’t use fore innovation. I mean local people told me to use lethal and it’s only like a few hundred less so I’m like no thanks I’ll buy the best and just work a few extra hours to make it up.
Great video. Running a gen 2 stage 2 whipple kit on a 2016 6r80. Finally got it to the track. Tires were only good for 11s, way too much spin. Best pass was a 11.3@130. Mph tells me 10.6 ish with a proper tire.
Took my heavy ass fully loaded 4100 lb 21 convertible to the track running a 2650 Roush on a drag pack. This is A 10r80 car and went three passes back-to-back 10.30s with 1.5 sixty foot. was very happy with that
Great video. You’ve just demonstrated to me that I wasted a lot of money on a carbon driveshaft and DSS 2000hp axles on my 3L Whippled 10R80 GT running only 665 hp at the wheels. I just wanted it built to not break lol. I also got a trans coolers, Interchiller, thermostat billet opg and cs full exhaust, done a lot to the suspension etc! Mm looks like I didn’t need all this stuff just to get into the 10s! Must say best mod to date for street traction was going to a wavetrack diff. This combo with 315 x 30 x 20 r888r puts the power down with good stability now! At least I got something right lol.
Great info! I got a 13 GT auto with a 13 boss engine - my buddy a 14GT auto with a gen 2 - I guess yr gen 2 auto vids apply more to us (engine & trans wise) given the increased hp limits, right? I wish you'd make a vid for Boss & s197's with gen 2 motors. Thanks!
Been waiting for this one.. I'm currently mating a vmp loki to a studded f150 gen 2 with a 6r80.. Circle d convertor..all in a 90 coupe foxbody... Wanna keep it on 93 only..max goal of 650 675 wheel.. don't need nor want anything more..I'm coming from a 351w base close to what you had but mine was a 408w.. which I belive is what you have .. that made 616 rear wheel na which was great but I had zero drivability Gonna miss the tq of the 351w..na the car went 10.08 with my big butt in it behind a built c4..275 tire.. that was all tourqe.. I'm surprised the coyote doesn't make the tq like it does hp..
Tvs is a torque monster even with a coyote you may not be missing the torque as much as you think if your 351 was na even at 600 wheel na. If it was on a 5.4/5.8 gt500 motor they are really torque monsters but the tvs is torque happy and snappy.
@midnight347 this is my first coyote..and vmp sc .. that's good to hear..tuner said that even with the biggest pulley I can put on there it'll hit 700hp quite easily..
Was thinking about eventually getting the entry level ESS kit for my 15 gt, keeping it pump gas, not worried about going fast, just want to sprinkle in some mild boost and keep the quiet, stock exhaust. How durable are the stock cats with entry level boost?
To get into the 9s with a 5th gen whipple 3.0 15 pounds of boost if you have a stall and built transmission. Do you recommend to leave on 2nd gear or is it fine to leave on 1st gear?
To run 10's, if your area is limited with no 93, will 91 obtain those times or is that pushing it with 10psi? Would it be safer to stay on 7 to 8 if you only have 91 in your area?
For big power boosted I'm a gen 2 6r80 guy. Both hold up better imo at high levels especially the 6r. It is stouter than the 10r. All the gears aren't needed when you make big power.
Help me out yolo. 78/75 on3 turbo kit. Gen2 6r80. 38-4k stall. 3.15 gears 2850 weight with me in it. Really want to stay on 93 octane. Can you get me to run 9.90’s on a foot brake at around 10 pounds? I would like to get tuned by you and Lund. Hope you reply to my comment. 🙏
Thank you for all the free knowledge, you might not think about it but Im sure you’ve saved people (including myself) thousands of dollars
Gen2 is still king daddy
Always

And here I am dying for the 4th gen videos😭
Damn it Alex, I keep seeing an earring on your right ear 😂🤣
Great series man!
Pride month BABEEEH!
Last week was the door knob 🌈🌈❤️
Might be your best video ever

can you di a video on the gen 2 f150s and for going 10s and 9s?
I love when his verbiage is mindful of budget oriented buyers like myself

Yeaaa the one ive been waiting for! Thanks Alex
Already heard these 1000 times on the lives, but gotta drop a view and a like
Amazing video! Keep up the good work!

These videos are great!
I notice you didn’t mention OPGs or crank sprocket. Do you recommend leaving the factory ones or upgrading to billet
Great content, love these clips.

What would be a good rear gear to start out with? I'm building a 64 Fairlane, planning on a centrifugal gen2/6r80 combo, 275/60r15 drag radial.
@@BarrowedTime 3.31-3.55
@@YDBT4LIFE thank you. That's kinda what my research was pointing to.
I might have missed this but have you talked about gt350’s? is there much of a difference between boosted applications?
900whp on a stock Coyote is insane.
Jordan Performance out of Ruskin florida is putting down over 1300 on a stock gen3 block/turbo build.. he has videos on the dyno to prove it also..
@@johnmilner6505that isn't practical. Does he race it? Is it in the 7s? It better be bottom 8 bare minimum at 1300 wheel with a cheat code auto.
@@midnight347probably not, Gen 2s have gone 7s stock motor just OPGs though
Would like to see a gen 2 boosted manual video !
💪💪💪👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽 coyote, King💨💨💨💨💨
Great informative video! 👌
Appreciate the time for giving us knowledge 🫡🔥
Alex did you ever make a video of Gen 2 manual boosted ? I don’t see it
It's next
Excellent!

Which 150 have this motor and transmission?
so glad I sold my 21 for a blown 17 with a gen2
You're the man....
Would these combos work with the f150s with the 6r80
Excellent
The boosted Gen 2 gospel
What about a manual trans? Is everything the same?
@@wickedmittenpythons9308 go watch that build series.

lol what happen to Gen 2 Boosted Manual combos
That’s what I was thinking, I thought I missed it somehow, best combo for trackday car
Looking for mt82 also!
🔥
Is my android tripping. Where is the gen2 manual boosted video?
How about race gas
How do you think a stock 6r80 behind a 2900 to 3000lb fox body to run 8s?
People have went 8s with stock ones in much heavier newer mustangs. Should be easy in a much lighter fox.
Yeah! Gen 3 😁
Nice
This is the video
7 sec?
twin turbos built motor all the shit. whole 9 yardd
