Oh it's real alright, and it's far more challenging than any sport, except swimming perhaps. The reason being is not only are you engaging in rigorous physical activity, but your breathing has to be restricted and calculated. Especially if you play an instrument such as the flute, because while it maybe be small in comparison to other instruments, flute players automatically throw away half of their air output due to the design of the instrument. As a result, you have to develop twice the lung capacity. Unlike athletes, no one just oxygenates their blood willy-nilly in band lol.

I will never forget 2014. I'm from Cincinnati, and I got the pleasure to march right on that field for competitions. We got the to see so many talented marching bands from around Ohio.. And even got the pleasure to see OSU's "Wizard of Oz" show. I remember it just like yesterday, it was freezing outside at around 11PM and everyone was exhausted after being there since about 10AM. I had on barely a jacket, forgetting to pack a blanket. I was irritated by the cold until I saw the OSU band marching, and I forgot everything. I had chills, but not from the cold. It was an amazing experience I will never forget. I miss being in marching band. I'm home schooled now, but sometimes I wish I was still in it just to do stuff like that again.
Wilson Hinh Lmao, no not really. When it first happened I believe there were people having a small "riot" outside the zoo but nothing much else happened. Not even one dick out.

Now see, that is a halftime show. not Red Hot Chili Peppers, not Malfunctioning wardrobe. Not about multi millon dollar sets. But real entertainment like this.
Can the Red Hot Chili Peppers coordinate 150+ people to form the shape of a dinosaur, have that dinosaur walk, and eat a person all while playing music? No. No they can fucking not.
What I ment with my comment wasn't entirely about Red hot chili peppers but the comment is about half-time it's self. The half time shows sometimes are not entertaining as they are hyped up to be. This video shows talent that to be honest better than some superbowl halftime shows.
I am a alumnus of the Southern University Human Jukebox marching band. NCAA has ranked Southern as having the 2nd best marching band in the nation for 2014. I figured we should have been ranked #1. I just had to come and see the band who supposedly topped our precision marching. I must say, OSU has a good marching band as evident here, but both bands have a different style. I feel we shouldn't be ranked against a band with a completely different style of marching, however, I won't take away credit were its due so congrats to OSU marching band. OSU definitely has an awesome band and the show here is simply AMAZING. What a band....

You can't truly appreciate the difficulty of doing this if you haven't been in a marching band. SO much goes on, it's ridiculous. But yeah, Ohio State's marching band is one of if not the best College bands in the country, possibly the world. Drum and Bugle core is just insane....
There isn't one in here, but It's actually harder to do Color Guard for this.
***** harder than playing a wind instrument (read: you are effectively doing everything guard and percussion, except you have to hold your breath), really? Think again. You get to breathe whenever you want in color guard.
***** um, sry but you are wrong there, both guard and wind players have an equal amount of difficulty to their jobs, id like to see you just walk up to a rifle/saber/flag and do what they do with them, and vise versa them to us
In the world? Yeah like we in Europe want to waste our time with this crap.Dancing on the court like a bunch of sisies. We got Ultras to support our teams.Fans that sing durig whole match, going wild when their team is playing,no matter if its wining or losing. The brawls with oponent Ultras fans and the police is just like anyother matchday, its a part of a culture.Thats the European style. You Yanks just keep sitting in your seats and yell Defence! and eat your hotdogs.
HeroOfMacedonia Yeah, we beat each others asses over a sport, but good thing the police don't give a fuck, haha. I give it to the Rugby athletes though, they're some tough sob's
they should play the bubble bowl
DUDE YOUR COMMENT MADE MY DAY CONSUDERING I HAD TESTJNG TODAY
The bub bub ba bub bub ba
is mayonnaise an instrument?
This band literally has the coolest drill in all their shows. Holy crap.
3:20
Band conductor is doing cartwheels...
lmfao they already won
*Drum Major
I can just imagine on of the guys who took the form of the stick Super Man bragging about it like, "Yeah, I was Superman's hands before"
I will never forget 2014.
A lot of people stood in front of the gorilla statue though inside the zoo, leaving flowers and/or cards, and there was a lot of conversation there and opinions.
It was mostly respectable, honestly. Not even one dick out.
lol same. from cincinnati, went to the osu invitational in 2014. i think we placed 1st class b. we're going again this saturday. are you going to be there?
etc Haha congratz! And no, unfortunately. I wish I could be there!
Also T/LT happened
They can form a marching band line in a dinosaur form better than I can even draw a dinosaur...
Happy 10 years to one of the greatest marching band videos ever
Lmao at 8:10 you can see the two people wearing white who were in the previous band finally realize that everyone else in their band left and they have been standing alone for
The past 3 min 😂😂
They are saying damn Ohio is good!
They wanted to watch lol
I was stressing wondering if I was the only one that saw that 😂😂
Woah howd you notice that?! thats awesome XD
Unbelievably amazing!!! Can’t imagine how many hours of practice these formations would have taken
I think this deserves more likes and views because the time and effort it took to create this masterpiece is simply amazing. I can't imagine how much practice and cooperativity this took! The music really helped with the figures. I was mind-blown and this was a great marching band, but it could only be seen on one side of the stadium which is a shame. Despite that, this is just beyond amazing!!
These marching bands are the best in the world precision marching at its best thank you for the many hours you guys put into practice to get it just right ,I really enjoy watching you perform ,Julie from Australia.
THAT is way more stellar than any of the past 30 years of Super Bowl halftimes! Bring back marching bands!!!
I actually cry when I watch these. It has surpassed goosebumps. They put in so many hours to make this beautiful piece of art
5:58 all I hear is "what are those, those, those"
The Superman own gave me chills ... the sound was so accurate.
Holy lord, this is trully amazing. I can't even begin to understand the level of effort
A OLDER BUCKEYE HERE...OHIO MADE ME HAPPY AND GOD BLESS THE BUCKEYES AND OHIO IS THE BEST!!
this people is amazing. their training must be really tough. well done!
There’s just that one guy dancing by himself
still picking my jaw up off the ground.
Amazing!
If youre an opposing teams marching band you just need to stay off the field...these guys will smoke ya!
Now see, that is a halftime show. not Red Hot Chili Peppers, not Malfunctioning wardrobe. Not about multi millon dollar sets. But real entertainment like this.
would much rather have Red Hot Chili Peppers to be honest
Can the Red Hot Chili Peppers coordinate 150+ people to form the shape of a dinosaur, have that dinosaur walk, and eat a person all while playing music? No. No they can fucking not.
Irontwins
they can't, but their music is fucking brilliant
What I ment with my comment wasn't entirely about Red hot chili peppers but the comment is about half-time it's self. The half time shows sometimes are not entertaining as they are hyped up to be.
This video shows talent that to be honest better than some superbowl halftime shows.
thommo1998 I don’t know who they are, but I’m assuming they are a new band, so they probably aren’t good
I don't know if I'm just sensitive but these videos are making me cry
Everything is making me cry these days...
It would suck to be sitting on the other side seeing everything upside down😂😂
+Magic Unicorn truth
+Travis Moore OOHHHHHH. At least that is cleared up for me.
Ima former SU band memba myself n i was jus thinkin that too. Who the hell is #1 if we aint?? Now i see! They a beast. I now feel comfortable bein #2 now that i kno its to a band that outstanding. Mr Carnell Knighten would b turnin ova in his grave if he heard me say that. He always taught us not to except 2nd place. But damn...these mfs good 👏
5:38 i love the people shouting "do a T-rex"
The ones who paid for the cheapest tickets got the best view
Lol, band is the robin hood of football games ;-)
As a fan of TROTR, when they hit that Uruk Hai theme, I felt that
Yeah it was epic
That was so beautifully done! Thank you for making me smile.
they learn about and entire show a week. what they do is insane! keep it up Ohio!!
Am clapping my hands, laughing in disbelief, and crying tears of joy at the same time.....WOW!
This is just mindblowing. Imagine the hours they put into practising
Great presentation and precision marching... I Love it!
That was absolutely amazing even coming from a military marching band awesome job yall
I'm in concert band and not marching band, but it is so awesome that they can do that while playing an instrument. I forget to sit up straight in concert band sometimes, but they can literally create a superhero scene just using their bodies. They have tremendous talent. Excellent job👏
My 2 favorite things: Band and Harry Potter
same
And Jurassic Park
YES
I play clarinet and am in high school marching band. we will be doing things like this.
I swear Ohio state has the coolest marching band shows for college.
As an alum and lifetime fan, I've long been in awe of what the Buckeyes marching band has done over the years. I would trade in that boring halftime commentary if they could give these performances some airtime now and then.
Go Clemson
One of the coolest things I've seen in a long time pretty amazing actually, they did a great job
