Usually when a title says “Best Ever,” be ready to be disappointed. But this really may be the best ever drumline. Every time I was amazed it was about to get even better. The show just kept ramping up. I did notice one dropped stick, but the ability to recover (probably with a spare stick) and stay in rhythm is what makes an expert! Truly amazing.
I don’t recall anyone saying that it was a football halftime! What I am saying, is that it would certainly be appreciated more so than the junk now offered!!!
I saw this amazing performance live with my son. I AM SO glad I booked the trip during the late summer/early fall to experience this and to give my son a huge respect for his origins... He also was a drummer from 4th grade on. Even as he also was a football player and switched uniforms at half time. I am so damn proud of our Scottish heritage
FAN-FRICKIN-TASTIC! I am so proud of these kids, and I don't even know them! What an honor it must be to be chosen and become a part of this incredible line! They must practice 23 hours out of 24, 7 days a week! Like one smooth, precise, moving machine! I could watch you kids all day! GREAT JOB !!! l, Oh, yeah.....and I did not see ONE mistake or out of time move! Amazing!
I did see one flag handler reach up to straighten his flag. I don't know if that's what they are told to do or what... But this is so precise that something so simple sticks out. But I would never hold that against them.
They’re Perfect right down to the uniform, which I think aids in them, appearing to be more of a machine than a human!! Love it when they tilt those ploom feather hats!!
Most people do not know how difficult this is unless you've done it. It only takes 1 person not stepping off in time or 1 second late and everyone sees it. Amazing!
Agreed, I have done it and know how incredibly difficult this is. I've never seen a drumline this good. However...I did see a stick on the deck. Just sayin'
I thought to myself, “eh, let me check this one out.......best ever?” Wow! I absolutely could not stop watching it, as I was in a trance. Every movement was precise. Every beat was perfect. Flawless performance! Props to the drummers, majorettes, and choreographers.
Same exact feeling I had "...the best ever" hmmm. Let's see. Poster video is 99% correct. I looked in his description and he thought the costumes were lame and I thought they were fabulous because they were musketeers and fit perfectly with the story and they looked great. Besides, the dark blue and white contrast made easy to see the contrast of the movements. One guys feather was at a slight different angle than the other guys perfectly aligned feathers. That's the only thing I could find. Amazing it was only him.
I’ve seen this video multiple times and what still amazes me is the precise height of their drumsticks throughout- everyone is the same. Incredible! Absolutely love watching! ❤
Discipline and Dedication!!! Two things sadly lacking in today's world. Two qualities that will serve these young people well throughout their lives. Well done!!
This is pure muscle memory. Hours and hours and hours of practice to reach this level. I was in a marching band so I know a bit but this is another level.
This actually made me cry! The dedication alone I got all emotional and to be a parent to one of these players have to be so proud of him! I'm proud of all of these guys. The hours upon hours to get it to this perfection and the lead Coordinator...BRAVO! ☮️💜🤘
Glad to know I'm not the only one. Absolutely amazing. So many truths about life can be drawn from this performance. Excellence, cooperation, self-sacrifice, the power of working together through the highest of individual achievement. I was literally moved to tears.

This truly is the best drum line ever. Not a miss in sight. Will have to watch this over and over just to analyze the drum sticks alone, let alone the other parts. Wow.
But if you watch carefully everyone has two sticks again by the end. They must have stowed backups in their uniforms just in case-- and someone managed to grab the replacement without losing synchrony. That's the most astonishing recover I think I've ever seen!!

The Swiss Drum Corp was formed in 1990 by enthusiastic drummers from the Swiss city of Basel. The tradition dates back to the Middle Ages. That is absolutely lately the best thing I have ever seen!!! They take this so seriously. The hours of practice that it must have taken for that one peformance is mind boggling. Every hand- every drum stick- every foot- every head- perfectly aligned. That's the kind of dedication I would love to see in all of our young people (and not so young people). Amazing. My highschool marching band won state and we practiced some way shape or form every day and had the entire week of bandcamp etc. The post-highschool drum corps do it full time. Lots of hard work and they pay for the privilege IIRC.
I took my son and his best friend to the Southeast Drum Corps International Competition in Atlanta, GA. They worked the competition for DCI and we were asked by one of the Drum corps if we would like to see what it’s like being on the road performing and practicing and living a highly disciplined life at these Pre Competition facilities. They slept in a high school gymnasium and used their football/practice fields for practice and training. My Army basic training was easier than their training. They are seriously dedicated individuals.

Annie Corvin I agree wholeheartedly....as a boy I joined my local army cadet corps at 13 years old...kinda like the scouts etc...I became a corporal at 16 & was part of the rifle drill team & my skills at throwing a rifle in the air & catching the guys I front of you was razor sharp.....I'm now a lot older & would probably break bones if I tried it now...lol
If these guys walked out onto a battlefield between two armies before the fighting starts, and did their routine, there would be no battle. The enemy would just refuse to attack a bunch of guys who have so much skill and talent.

For those who don't know, this is drum and bugle corps, not football halftime. These musicians are on a whole other level.
I don’t recall anyone saying that it was a football halftime! What I am saying, is that it would certainly be appreciated more so than the junk now offered!!!
Thank you for adding the comment.the synchronicity of them is truly incredible
Which one is it? And what year?
Haha imagine seeing this at a football match - talk about pearls before swine
My nephew was in the Bluecoats. It was like being at boot camp.
Bless you PJ. What a wonderful gift 🎁 you gave your son. I am proud of the great parent you must have been. I enjoyed reading your story.

GREAT JOB !!!
l,
Oh, yeah.....and I did not see ONE mistake or out of time move! Amazing!
You didn’t see one because there wasn’t one. They absolutely smashed this out the park. Fair play to ‘em.
Love it when they tilt those ploom feather hats!!
one dropped stick......still didnt miss a beat!!! awesome!!!
ABSOLUTE MILITARY PRECISION PERFECT AND AWESOME. MUCH APPRECIATION TO THE CHOREOGRAPHER, DIRECTOR AND THE AWESOME PERFORMERS!!!
Just sayin'

They are the best drum line ever anywhere! Best of the best
Great love them! Great showmanship!!!❤❤❤❤❤
Halftime at the super bowl. Would be nice but they're not gay enough transgender enough black enough and woke enough.
You're absolutely right! Really entertaining, and amazing!
I’d much rather listen to “rap crap” than drum lines. And I say that as a math rock fan
l turn halftime on SB off because rappers are crappers. Please no more rap no talents.
Amazing it was only him.
yeah.. me to.. exactly
Agreed. I can't imagine how much practice that took to get to that level of coordination. Incredible!
Hell yeah!
Imagine having worked very very hard for many years and finding yourself the nr 2 drum corps. Arhg.
I’ve seen this video multiple times and what still amazes me is the precise height of their drumsticks throughout- everyone is the same. Incredible! Absolutely love watching! ❤
In my band, we were taught to bring the stick to a certain level after you strike. So it looks uniform.
☮️💜🤘
That's just being a normal swiss citizen tho. Sorry your standards are so low.
I am a mother of one of them and I am very proud, but even happier for him that he is so dedicated and focused and is having so much fun. ❤😊
Glad to know I'm not the only one. Absolutely amazing. So many truths about life can be drawn from this performance. Excellence, cooperation, self-sacrifice, the power of working together through the highest of individual achievement. I was literally moved to tears.
@@CookingWithCowsdamn why are people in this video saltier and more sour than average? Tf
@@CookingWithCows I'm a proud American U.S.A. all the way. My standards as a musician, I play guitar and drums, are extremely high. That being said this drumline is among the best I have seen in my fifty years in music.
This truly is the best drum line ever. Not a miss in sight. Will have to watch this over and over just to analyze the drum sticks alone, let alone the other parts. Wow.
They dropped one stick when they were throwing it. I was afraid one of them is going to slip on it when they were going backwards.
Well rehearsed!
@Omega Mark from watching this, I wouldn't be surprised if they instinctually knew exactly where it was even walking backwards! 🤯
WOW!
Watch it half speed
But if you watch carefully everyone has two sticks again by the end. They must have stowed backups in their uniforms just in case-- and someone managed to grab the replacement without losing synchrony. That's the most astonishing recover I think I've ever seen!!
I was a snare drummer at East Carolina...
Then went on to graduate from the Naval School of Music and marched with the Marine Drum and Bugle Corps (Albany Georgia...MCLB).....BUT I'VE NEVER seen such a performance.....

This drumming must be the ultimate passion of these young people. They are truly amazing! The precision shows you what dedication and practice produce. BRAVO!!!
That was crazy!! Having been in Ceremonial Honor Guard in the military, this is really good. Glad someone recorded this
It’s one thing to have talent. It’s a whole other thing for so much talent to be able to share the stage with such impeccable coordination and skill. Being great on your own is one thing. Playing so well with others gives the individual’s talent meaning on an entirely different level. It’s a great example of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts, as great as those parts are. I’m very glad I got to see this. Thank you for posting!
This is how I mow.
No kidding. This is the GOAT of all high school band performances.
The Swiss Drum Corp was formed in 1990 by enthusiastic drummers from the Swiss city of Basel. The tradition dates back to the Middle Ages. This is the most incredible drumming formation I have ever seen. Let us not forget that the soldiers who protect His Holiness the Pope are Swiss guards. Their colorful uniform was originally designed by the Renaissance artist Michelangelo. Thank you for posting.
1990 is the middle ages? Wow, I must be ancient.

I believe that other person said something along the lines of DOH
Hey thats pretty cool, so these guys are part of an ancient drumline

Ok, so that turned out to be one of the most impressive things I’ve ever seen on TH-cam, maybe even the planet. Well done drummers!
Amazing. Great job, fellas!
These are kids that will succeed in life no matter what they chose to do!!
As a former participant in marching band for four years+, MY HAT’S OFF TO YOU!! WOOOOW!!!!!!!!!❤❤❤❤
How in the world does this get hate? I'm not in drum line but I'm a drummer and this is crazy awesome...whoever is hating is either a prodigy who can do better or jealous. If you can do better, then that obviously means you are/were in drumline so it's sad to see you tear down another drummer.
+Loading I have it on good authority that the haters are Professional Mercenaries hired by DCI.fans when they saw that this got six million views and started crying and then went ballistic.
When I was young, my father used to record drum and bugle competitions on reel to reel tapes. He would later play the recordings back on the stereo in the living room. It was like hearing the bands marching from one end of the room to the other. Thanks for sharing and bringing back memories.
👍Back in the days when bands performed ON THE FIELD in competition was something to see, the tenors, snares, bass and kettle drums and the horn line! I played in one in the 60s-70s it was great!!!
I used to compete in Drum and Bugle Corps when I was younger and even now in my mid fifties... I get nervous and then crazy excited and then... so... just caught up in the adrenaline rush of knowing all the hard work is FINALLY paying off AND you've got the crowd along for the ride... WHEW! Never watched a drumline in my life. This was completely off the charts. Can you imagine how many hours of practice this took?!
Hours & hours & hours and MORE hours!
It took 97.3 hours of practice.............I looked it up
My highschool marching band won state and we practiced some way shape or form every day and had the entire week of bandcamp etc. The post-highschool drum corps do it full time. Lots of hard work and they pay for the privilege IIRC.
I was a drummer in marching band and these people are light years ahead of us is still cool to hear and see
I took my son and his best friend to the Southeast Drum Corps International Competition in Atlanta, GA.
Bravo🎉🎉 I totally agree this is far better, more valuable family friendly entertainment for Superbowl & all possible venues. Everything these talented performers must be for God's glory 🙏🏾
Hello Shirley
How are you doing today?
To all of you haters out there, just think of how hard it is to play a 16th, 32nd, and triplet pattern. Now imagine doing that while walking in precise patterns to within 3 inches. Now imagine that you are counting time while you are doing all of this and there is a deafening noise all around you.
I'd like to see you try and do this good.
