Ps4 and ps5 are x86-64 cpus and the same gpu architecture that is on PC. A game built from the ground up for the consoles like this do not need a crazy amount of work to port. Someday the Ponies may learn this.

I'm very happy about this, I stopped being a console gamer in the 360/PS3 generation and been primary PC gamer since then. It goes to what you said about buying a plastic box for 1-4 exclusive games that I may want to play in any given year during the consoles life cycle. Otherwise it's just sitting there collecting dust waiting on said games to release. It's just not worth it and the logic of well its a four year game, if it's a game I haven't played, it's a new game.

A great game being experienced by more people is the most obvious plus that comes from this, but I see there being even more to it. I know how it feels to reluctantly buy a platform just for a handful of games that are stuck on it. Now those who have yet to own either platform have the benefit of making a more informed choice based not just on what specific games they want to play, but what the platform as a whole has to offer. It helps let the people see the big picture of the platform's merits as a whole. For example, pricing. Games being multiplatform are a hugely impactful catalyst for competitive pricing. A larger sample size of potential buyers of units also means platform holders/digital distributors can push for more deals to entice people to choose their version of the game. Would you rather buy one high profile exclusive game at a premium or would you rather allow all of your options to buying a multiplat be shown to you, get your preferred version at the best price, and be able to afford even more games you've been wanting to get into? tl;dr I'm giddy about the Spider-Man PC port and the days where everyone is able to experience every game ever is becoming more of a reality. The whole point consoles owners made against PC was that it was too expensive, PC will always be better than playstation consoles, Spider-Man on PC is the definitive version of the game and if you are a real gamer you should be happy it exists because the PS5 version isn't up to snuff
Maybe someone should point to how their last console was capable of running pirated content and homebrew, and in fact, the PS5 nearly did early in its life cycle due to an exploit that was present in both the PS4 and PS5. Said exploit was actually possible on all PS4’s at the time.
I'd say Dreams should absolutely come to PC. Yes, there's plenty of game making programs available on PC already but Dreams is one of the most newcomer friendly and easy to use. Plus you don't have to make something, you could just play what others have made instead. At the very least, a PC port would keep the game from being dead in 1-3 years.

Although Sony fanboys are cringe 99% of the time, some of their arguments about this make a LOT of sense. If you're trying to sell hardware as your highest priority, why would you ever say to the entire gaming sphere "if you wait, you'll get our games in their best shape ever, with all DLC and a lot cheaper"? Xbox's main priority, are subs for GP, they obviously want to sell you hardware, but there's no real way they can convince you to do so right now, you have to simply want a Series S/X. It'll be the same thing for PS, especially after they shorten the date on the PC ports and extra especially, when they start doing D&D with PC, which is going to be a lot sooner than we thought. You have no reason to buy a PS unless you simply want one, same for Xbox, but they are not trying to sell you hardware, they want the subs, it's a bad business call from Sony.
Not everyone can afford a high-end gaming PC, nor do they have the patience to maintain it and troubleshoot its issues. And not everyone on PS/XB buys the games at full price on release. Even with simultaneous releases on PS/XB and PC, their sales won’t be negatively affected.

Also, when was the last time you attempted to resolve a driver conflict issue or mitigate a memory leak / page size issue on a console? Or opened up and shorted jumper pins cuz you console didn’t boot? The most troubleshooting you do in a console is a factory reset or swap storage or fans for better ones. Anything more intense, and you either take it to a store or send it back to Sony / Microsoft for a replacement. These products are aimed at different audiences with a overlap between the 2 sets, where people exist who can afford both. So it is fine to release the game for both audiences (Consoles and PCs).

YES. No questions asked. PC is way better, cost less in the long run and provides every game imaginable and more. I have both the consoles but I used my PC way more often. TBH Bloodborne is the last straw. The day that comes out, bbye PS5. I love XBOX and PS games, and on PC it will do proper justice. Man, the lack of logic on these people over simple games that surely were made on a PC....... to the PS5 has no value imo GPU's going back to MSRP, intel's GPU coming, new AMD and Nvidia GPU's, AM5 platform coming all the goodies for us PC guys. Also odd they care of sony's bottom line and "this benfits sony" we see from the most notible PS fanboys as they cry with their $499 plastic box.
But what happened to just gaming, i remember in 2014 or so saying to a group of dudes i ain't talk to about PC they sounded like these type like "you can game on a PC!?" very confused about PC gaming was even long before i shifted to PC gaming at that. Also wild they see us PC people more wise with our money to complain of that, while just enjoying $60 games and rarely any sales weird.

Although Sony fanboys are cringe 99% of the time, some of their arguments about this make a LOT of sense.
If you're trying to sell hardware as your highest priority, why would you ever say to the entire gaming sphere "if you wait, you'll get our games in their best shape ever, with all DLC and a lot cheaper"?
Xbox's main priority, are subs for GP, they obviously want to sell you hardware, but there's no real way they can convince you to do so right now, you have to simply want a Series S/X.
It'll be the same thing for PS, especially after they shorten the date on the PC ports and extra especially, when they start doing D&D with PC, which is going to be a lot sooner than we thought.
You have no reason to buy a PS unless you simply want one, same for Xbox, but they are not trying to sell you hardware, they want the subs, it's a bad business call from Sony.
Not everyone can afford a high-end gaming PC, nor do they have the patience to maintain it and troubleshoot its issues. And not everyone on PS/XB buys the games at full price on release. Even with simultaneous releases on PS/XB and PC, their sales won’t be negatively affected.

@@durshurrikun150 Price of PS5 = 499 USD = Price of RTX 3070 (not even a 3080 or 3080Ti). Just the GPU. So, no. A high-end PC is not in the same price range as a Console. Also, when was the last time you attempted to resolve a driver conflict issue or mitigate a memory leak / page size issue on a console? Or opened up and shorted jumper pins cuz you console didn’t boot? The most troubleshooting you do in a console is a factory reset or swap storage or fans for better ones. Anything more intense, and you either take it to a store or send it back to Sony / Microsoft for a replacement. These products are aimed at different audiences with a overlap between the 2 sets, where people exist who can afford both. So it is fine to release the game for both audiences (Consoles and PCs).

You peasants keep talking about this supposed issues that PC have, but I have never had any such issue, because they are so rare as to be highly unlikely or are in almost all cases caused by user error, so your inability to properly use a PC doesn't prove that PC is difficult to use( even a brick can operate a PC at this point).

It shouldn’t upset you…Spiderman 2 and Ragnorok aren’t coming to PC. As a sony fan you still get to play these games on release and not wait literal years for them. Spiderman can put YEARS ago and they just now getting to play it
I scored a ps5 on the walmart restock right before the spiderman pc announcement. I kinda regret buying it. Waiting a few years and only having to own a pc is sounding quite good rn. Should I return to walmart when it gets here guys?
YES. No questions asked. PC is way better, cost less in the long run and provides every game imaginable and more. I have both the consoles but I used my PC way more often. TBH Bloodborne is the last straw. The day that comes out, bbye PS5. I love XBOX and PS games, and on PC it will do proper justice. Nobody wants to be tied down to a console and then cope with buyer's remorse (like many PS zealots do on Twitter).

Probably gonna keep the ps5 until the pc gpu Markey stabilizes. I had to buy walmart plus, and skip work, so I better keep it lol.
