I got an IUD about a year ago and shared a ton of your fears, but it was hands down one of the best health decisions I have ever made. People with bad experiences are just more likely to share them, but I'll share my positive experience with anyone. It was so so worth it and has improved my quality of life so much

Thank you so much for this! I’m so glad it helped you and it helps me so much to hear the positive experience. ❤️

I highly recommend a hysterectomy (when you're ready) I had fibroids. My pain was like labor. Pain all down my legs. So so bad. My life changed so much. No more pain!!! (At least not from my periods) only regret was that I didn't do it many years ago. 10 stars.

Sorry to hear about depression, in some cases psychedelics can be helpful. On the other hand, it's not a very established approach, it's still very experimental/in research.
If you're looking for ideas for videos, here's a couple that come to mind: how does vEDS change life goals? What does it mean to have a fulfilling life if you're diagnosed with vEDS? How does it impact having children? Does it change life priorities? How does it change relationships and where you fit in society?

Thanks for the info and the ideas, Domen!

Does it monitor your blood pressure?

The loop recorder didn't monitor blood pressure

I have a loop recorder too. Only one stroke that I know of and that was on July 3rd 2020. I also had a couple of seizures. I'm currently on seizure medication. Are you on cholesterol medication or keppra? I'm 48 going on 49 next month and found out I have VEDS too back 2013.

Hey Ivan! I’m sorry to hear you had a stroke and have been dealing with seizures, too. ❤️ I am not on cholesterol meds or keppra. Happy almost birthday! Are you connected with any others in the community with VEDS?

    • @rxvanz
      @rxvanz 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@TranslucentOne I'm not connected but I haven't had anymore seizures and it was only one stroke. I take Vitamin C and Lysine daily to help with the collagen.

Does anyone know if hysterectomy is safe for a VEDS patient? I have so many questions. What about endometrial biopsy? Is that safe?

    • @TranslucentOne

Hey Mary! I know a few people with VEDS who have had a hysterectomy but I think they were performed with caution. This would be a good question for a doctor. There was a webinar the VEDS movement did a while back with an OBGYN. I can’t remember if she talked about hysterectomies but I’ll look and drop the link here if she did. ❤️

@@TranslucentOne thank you so much. My 32 year old daughter has veds and needs a hysterectomy due to a monster fibroid that has taken over her uterus and is pressing on her bowel, etc. We feel like we are alone on an island trying to get the best care and TEACHING doctor's about veds.😩 It's scary. Was hoping to get some advice.

Have you reached out to the help and resource center at the VEDS Movement? There’s a nurse in the help and resource center who may be able to ask one of the experts about your daughters situation. thevedsmovement.org/resources-and-answers/ask-a-question/
Disclaimer is I run the VEDS Movement, but this channel is not associated with it. I truly believe though that they can help. ❤️

@@TranslucentOne thanks so much, Katie. I guess I'm just a nervous wreck about the possibility of my daughter's surgery. Also, she is going this week for a uterine biopsy and I have fears about that as well. Typically, she has gone to Mayo Clinic, but that is not financially possible right now. She has been referred to U of M for a team approach to the hysterectomy and aftercare.

I’ll be thinking about her as she goes through all that. I really hope it goes very smoothly! ❤️
