    Had one implanted by Dr. J last year. Was no big deal. He is the BEST! Has helped monitor my Afib greatly. Information is the key to staying healthy and out of the hospital!

      I had mine fitted on 14th of September 2021 it took 5 minutes I felt nothing but I have a scar that looks like a huge raised zit and I have a lot of pain where it's sat and in the centre of my chest they have found my diagnosis since having it ANRVT Bsaically superventicular tachycardia I think they are removing the device and I am now waiting for catheter ablation which is also a good thing to have done with afib gets rid of it forever good luck 👍

    Im happy to see how this works. I have arrythmias and keep fainting but can't catch the arrythmia. So I was told after an MRI scan of my heart that they are going to implant a loop recorder. Was a bit scared but now I see what happens i feel happy to go ahead. Thank you for this.

    Great stuff, I’d take this over wearing a holter monitor for 24-48 hours any day!!!

    • @pradipjamnadasmd
      @pradipjamnadasmd  3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Depending on what is needed they actually serve two different purposes. The holter monitor records all heart activity for those 24 to 48 hours vs the loop recorder which records abnormal heart beats for up to 3 years.

    • @CraigCochrane-ph3dz
      @CraigCochrane-ph3dz ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn't know the difference so yet again more useful information thank you

      Totally agree at its 24/7 and will pick up abnormal activity I didnt even feel it go in and it took 2 mins almost two years now its been a good send 👍

    Does this pick up Brugada after multiple syncopal episodes that then resulted in fainting, followed by bradycardia and then drop in pressures from hypertensive to 60s over 40s and finally oxygen saturation dropping from 98 to 76 percent?

    Had one put in. Within 3 hours started running high fevers. Ended up with major infection that spread clear through my left breast. Dr's refused to take it out until 7 days later. By then I was very sick and full of infection and abcesses. It was very painful. Surgery to take it out and clean out the mess took over 2 hours. Never again will I do this. I have syncope/pots.

    Dr im having one of these fitted tomorrow morning, I am in the UK I suffer with Tachycardia supervtricular and ventricular ectopics, apparently begnin... this has been going on for years one day a few years ago my heart started to race so fast my partner at the time said I was having a panic attack and wouldn't call an ambulance since then I have had several holter monitors but I am still suffering with paused beats and racing heart, I am scared I don't want to die.

    • @CraigCochrane-ph3dz

      It's highly unlikely you will die from this. I have the same thing. Have extra electrical circuit that should not be there and since birth but it never caused me any trouble tho it does feel strange. But a few years ago it started causing me to black out. So I am getting the loop recorder so they can see whether they can ablate it or not. I have been on medication but it doesn't seem to work so well any more. Don't worry about it as its unlikely to be fatal. But do keep pushing for it to be sorted out if it's bothering you.

  • @godblessthelessfortunate3175

    What is it recording? e.g. Heart rate? EKG? Recording full time? Or only when it detects something abnormal? Why is it called "loop'? Does that mean it has limited internal memory and writes over old data on a first in first out basis? How many hours or minutes of recording can it store?

  • @jessicaorozco1206

    I have that same device on me cause I had a stroke two years ago, but mine died already and I haven’t had it removed. It only lasted a a bit. It didn’t get to the date that I got an implant.

    No need to wear a 24 to 48 hour holter monitor or 30 day event recorder with an implant loop recorder

    • @pradipjamnadasmd
      @pradipjamnadasmd  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      yes. No need to do Holter monitor’s or event monitors when you have a loop recorder which will record every heartbeat for up to three years.
