- Today we have an interview with Gerald Horton, a singer/songwriter originally from Alabama, but now living in Texas with his wife, Tara, and his son, Gibson (great name). I've known Gerald for around 6 to 8 months and he's been a great relationship on TH-cam. These interviews are primarily about folks just like you and I. We're not claiming anything special about ourselves, but we are having a great time uploading videos and hopefully helping other folks and putting smiles on faces where they belong. Hi James, now that is a compliment! We pretty much spent the whole day together. I really liked the holster he had for his .380! It was a self molding holster and it was pretty cool.

That was very good music you did too. Just a very good interview. As Randy is aware, from our conversations, I too have an Alvarez and love it's sound. Mine is a newer one though. But it's all solid wood and sounds great ( it's the MD60BG).
Thank you friend! Alvarez makes a great guitar. The Martin DM we talked about my uncle wanted. At one point he offered to trade me a very early signed Yairi . I kind of regret not taking the offer. 😂.

Brother Randy and Gerald, I can't tell you how much I enjoyed this interview. Gerald, you have a supreme talent. And I enjoyed hearing from a fellow victim of GAS (Guitar Acquisition Syndrome). Just a quick correction, I had a Martin D3, which is very similar in overall specs to the DM. Thanks again, for a great video! 🙏🙏

Great interview Randy. I did not know the guy, and enjoyed getting to know him a bit. I'm mainly a Rock n Roll guy but this past couple of years I've been getting more in to alot of country, as I enjoy the story telling aspect of country music, which revolves alot around love, for sure lol, but also life rt now, and the things going on.
I went down the same path in my life. I still love some good ole Robert Plant, but as I’ve gotten older I am rediscovering the art of a great story, brother man 👍🏻
Gerald is a very good storyteller in song and that’s almost a lost art. Glad you enjoyed the interview, brother man and sorry for the delay in responding, but I just now saw this 👍🏻

Hi Ms Brooke, he actually texted me and said, hey, we’re moving to Texas 😂. We’ve been talking for a few months now, mostly about guitars. It seemed very fitting, during editing, that I pull that particular video and insert it. By the way, did you notice the picture of his grandma in the window behind him during Ruby? It’s very subtle, but I faded it in to give the appearance of her watching him play that song.

I was wondering how you knew he was moving to TX in the other comment. That is very cool. I would love to do a live video with us all. Let me know if you want to do that & how.
