30 minutes before I found this video, I purchased 6 of these ‘Wall Control’ panels (Pro Tip: the white ones are the cheapest: $100 for 3 panels AND an accessories pack). It’s so funny how the universe conspired to show me this excellent video basically right after I place my order! Armando, I met Rubidium a few months ago and we were talking about what an awesome guy you are. I hope to meet you in person one day brother! Cheers to your success! ❤️
Wow that’s good to know thanks for the tip. Especially because they can get painted. Oh man I need to reach out to Rubidium, haven’t talked to him in about a year.
@@mondobytes You are very welcome brother, thanks to you for making the world a better place with your channel. Yeah, reach out, he speaks really highly of you. I went to the ‘Crimson Engine’ studio in Burlington, VT where he now makes his videos from. Super sweet space. I’m in NH, so if you ever head East and need anything, I am happy to help out. Have an amazing weekend my man! 😎👍🏻👍🏻
i like it! one thing i would probably do though is mount the powerstrip on the lowest shelf underneath and do an overhang so its still hidden from view but still able to easily remove your charger cables from it, or add new ones.
I hate the fact that this video showed me that it is possible to organize battery power solutions. I have a menagerie of plugs, extension cords and power strips plugged into other power strips. Great Video now I have to clean up my mess. Great Video and please Keep creating and sharing.
For future projects when going through metal use a unibit to to drill a clean hole then use a grommet whenever running wires through metal. Also since It's metal depending on the device you could use small neodymium magnets to mount things but the Velcro idea is good. I often do that in car audio projects or work areas to swap items out
I noticed Parker’s channel posted something similar yesterday and thought, damn it, I was going to post something about my watch pegboard charging station. These videos are often planned weeks in advanced and it’s sad funny when another content creator posts something similar right before you about to post a similar video. It happens. 🤷🏻♂️ Great video! Lots of different ideas in here. 👌 👏
This is cool am not a camera guy but I really like getting all my charging stuff of my flat surfaces cleans up clutter awesomeness am trying to declutter my life one step at a time.
Hey wadup Mando hope things are good with you! Looking so good with that metal pegboard! I am still planning my setup and soon enough I'll let you know when that is ready for viewing! Take care and see you on the next one!
Hey Armando, great charging station. I have a question what size were the screws you used for the stand-off on your link I don’t know what size I need to select can you tell me what size you used for the titanium screws. Thank you
Cool video. If you cut the access holes for the heads of the chargers into a circle, rather than a square, you can use premade grommets to protect the sharp edges from snagging or cutting into your wires. Grommets will also give a more finished look like you're going for. Good work though. Nice setup nonetheless.
Really nice setup! I’ve been using wall control brand for years and am a wedding photographer. Never thought to do this! Now this is my next project. I may try using a step drill bit and rubber grommets for the holes. We’ll see. Thanks!!!!
I really like that husky tool chest. It looks like Home Depot doesn’t have it anymore. Would you recommend the one which goes for $130? If not which one? Really nice video too.
Question: do you have identical power plugs to match the velcroed charger units? Or do you just remove everything then re-install? The grab and go velcro concept is great, but having the plugs threaded through cut out holes seems more permanent.
@@mondobytes on that aspect of Power cable into the charger units, i use a stripe or dot of color nail polish (or paint marker) on the power plug and the unit so i dont put wrong power cable into unit. (eg some barrel power connectors may match in size but use diff voltage, i fried an ethernet switch once before i learnt i NEEDED to label/color code them :)
I’m almost done with my charging station too but I can’t find the right spacers for my screw, what kind and size of spacers you use? I also add a cable organizer in the back of my stations plus and led strip, thanks for the inspiration. 🎉
Armando, question about the paint color for your wall, what is that? I'm looking to paint my wall a similar color and want to know a good starting point to look at.
Dope charging station....mines is just a surge protector with a TON of different chargers all over it😂 nowhere near as neat as yours. Thanks for the inspiration
Awesome video and thanks for the links and sharing!!! Quick question which I'm confused and I think I might have missed, once you drill the holes for the black stand off screws, how do you attached them to the wall? I saw the link for the black stand off screw and the Titanium Hex Bolt, but just trying to figure out how to attached to the wall? Sorry, never mind I figured it out....... Thank you
Thank you for this. You may not be the person to ask, but is it safe to have a charging station in my garage? Curious to see if climate shifts would be a problem.
Did those m8x40mm screws fit without issues, or did you have to enlarge the holes a bit? Finding the right size screw/stand-off has always been the kicker with these. Great video!
Its a good idea but I'm not a fan of making permanent holes in the pegboard. I would have channeled the cables through the gap between the two boards and rearranged the elements in a different distribution. The holes would be a pain to watch if you want to change things in the future.
If you say you can take your chargers off (the Velcro) to take with you you mean you use spare charging cables I guess since the cables are all nicely fit in place right? Building one myself right now. A nice challenge 😊😉
next time place down some masking tape over where you're making your cuts. mark on top of the tape and cut thru. it'll save chipping the paint on the edges.
Disaster in the making. The cutouts will eventually cut through the AC power cables and cause a short and possible fire. Either plastic or rubber grommets are required. A better solution would be a circular hole with a rubber grommet.
Sometimes I dont even listen to what you are saying, I just visit this channel for quality videos. Meeeen, the videos are damn good. Love them!

This kind of thing happens with content creation on YT. I’m guessing he had this video built yesterday and was planned weeks ago. 🤷🏻♂️

Good question, yes I do have extra plugs. Funny, I never actually bought any I just have extra from random products I have throughout the years.

Very cool project. Thanks for linking the items I'm digging that peg board
Which Husky tool workbench is that?
Hello, Congratulations. Cool. 👍👏👏👏 Excellent. Brilliant. Awesome. Thank You For Advice Us.
The standoff wall mount spacers do not work with the size screws you have in your links above. Do you know if they changed the size of them?
Same problem here! Let me know if you or anyone else found a proper alternative!
@@RobbyFischerMusic I used washers to add as spacers
A cool idea would be to drill holes and put plastic or rubber gromets in the holes. Might give it a cleaner look.
btw dremels have file and sander bits, to make the holes a fully kitted out dremel is super handy

Now that is cool.
Great setup bro!
Thanks Broski
I’ve been looking for this specific husky toolbox everywhere!!
What’s the size?? Or link? I need to know!
Hello. So the screw you use isn't a m10? I ordered the m8 in your description and the diameter was a little small.
Can you make a video of your husky drawer ? Definitely debating on wether or not its worth buying for tech. Or even the harbor freight dupe

so sick!!
I love your setup, did you secure the pegboards into a wall stud?
What size tool box are you using
Titanium bolts 🤔 Thats the car building crossover 👍🏾
Haha yup!
When you have camera gear + kids, stuff gets mounted higher and higher 😅
I may need to copy this design soon
Oh this is why I can’t wait to do this.
Did those m8x40mm screws fit without issues, or did you have to enlarge the holes a bit? Finding the right size screw/stand-off has always been the kicker with these. Great video!
They’re perfect fit
Looks like you drilled the back of the board to make the opening a bit bigger for the bolts ya? It’s a circle in the front and stock in a oval shape
Thanks for doing this video. This is definitely something I need to setup. Love it and it looks awesome.
Are you drilling into drywall or studs?
@@Runway21Productions drywall
Lol, I just build myself a charging station similar to this one about 2 weeks before this video dropped 👍🏾
I ordered the same screws but they fall through the hole after being juggled with. Should i go larger or maybe add a washer ?
Also. the holes on the back side. What size bit did you use to make them wider?
What paint color is on your wall ?

Could had totally used a stepdown bit for the cable management.
Very true
What sort of voodoo mind tricks are you receiving? I have been thinking about this type of project for weeks now. Thanks for the great ideas!
probably b/c every youtuber has the exact wall and similar configuration

The standoff spacers don't work with the Wall Control pegboard
Always charge your batteries when you are in the same room with them, don't leave them unattended.
Batteries always pose a potential fire risk.
How do you deal with dust?
No different than a desk or anything else in a studio, just wipe it down.
These TH-camr always going completely overkill for absolutely no reason. Titanium bolts lol
Where are you Man? Espero que estes bien! 👍🏼
New video next week 😉
next time place down some masking tape over where you're making your cuts. mark on top of the tape and cut thru. it'll save chipping the paint on the edges.
Oversight on my part and should have done that.
1 day late, i aready bought the gear from the full time filmmakers charging station they did yesterday lol
People keep sending us this video because it looks a lot like our TH-cam video of this same charging station. Lol 😜
I didn’t copy it from you I saw this 3 years ago look at my comment: th-cam.com/video/3cWO9ZdgCGY/w-d-xo.html
@@mondobytes it’s all good.
@@Whiteinrevery no worries, wasn’t trying to be snarky. Thanks for commenting, dope channel dude!
how is everyone doing charging station builds at the same time
Don 't buy standoff spacers or titanium screws, they don't fit the pegboard linked. It comes with mounting screws
Charger can get hot... your chargers will fall off the wall at some point since the glue melts.
Is not glue it’s Velcro, also I’ve had mine for over 6 months and it takes a lot of force to take them off when I use them for travel
Lol Armando's videos get darker and darker, 😂 are you filming in a closet now?

Lol no it won’t because it’s very loose. In fact it’s not even resting on it, I’ve had this for over 6 months and cables look brand new
