Jake, your a really good filmmaker. I’m hoping to make it a profession some day. Almost every day I go rip around on the four wheeler with the GoPro and photograph my goats!! Super awesome! Thanks for teaching me!😅
I love this. I actually have all of the components sitting in my closet since like 6 months ago waiting to do this. Going to tackle this before end of year. I feel like charging station videos have become the new "desk tour" videos. hahah.
@@jozefdoyle I've seen some guys create a portable charging station in a small Pelican case for taking on long shoots that may require recharging batteries on set.
was waiting fr this video .. i bought a ikea white peg board to dobthis, bcus that’s what i hot here in india, this video will help. But Jake .. i think ur black peg board will look more dope with the background led, as it will create that matt black moody look. i feel the lights r ruining the dark themed look.
I get it, wall mount saves space. But batteries hate drops. This will sooner or later happen. I'd opt for a very shallow shelf system. I also work with a wide range of systems, from aa to bigger v-mount batteries. But good job, hope it suits you.
Hey Jake I know you said the pegboard was custom made, but any idea where the viewers can do/make something like that with the built in outlet? Great video!
Great video Jake but with my larger Sony NPF batteries, the command strips just didn't cut it. Two of the chargers peeled off and *thud* in the middle of the night!
Keep up the good videos Jake. Have you ever used the canon 80. If so, do you think it's a good camera? Could you please do a video sometimes on how to use different focal length and how it effect depth of field? Thanks!
My issue is, I travel a lot for shoots....so what do you do when you need to take all the chargers for on the go charging? Seems impossible to take back apart each time....thoughts?
Dude I love your channel. You seriously make super solid content with good advice. I make similar stuff on my channel. I compete in film festivals and I’m even working on a feature film
Scotch fasteners are better than Command Strips. They will hold a lot better, especially if you are hanging things. Plus, a roll of Scotch is cheaper then buying several packets of Command Strips.
Thing is just: What are you going to do when you're on a longer trip and need all those chargers that are now zip tied and nailed and glued to the wall?
I have second chargers specifically for travel. They only come with me then. The alternative is to Velcro mount the chargers to the board and buy more cables for each charger… a cheaper alternative Forsure just not as convenient
Would have been funny to include the footage of the station ripping out of the wall hahahah

He's not Parker. Just in case. He's Jake. Jake from StateFarm

You got this!
Great video!
Would love to see another variation of this for a portable charging station that doesn’t have to be mounted to the wall…
you mean like some kind of table?

@@micahreimerfilms That''s so cool!
Hello 👋 i am biggest fan of yours photography & cinematography.
I am from Bangladesh
Hey Jake, quick mounting tip. Make a French cleat, that way you can mount and dismount whenever you want. That’s how I run mine 👍🏻
If pegboards are hard to find like where I live, locker hangers/trays also work great as it has holes you can feed cables through etc..
Great balance between keeping it practical and looking good at the same time!
Love it.
I need this

This looks so clean. Good work and thanks for the pro tips.
I’ve been waiting this video for months

What a great idea for ETSYers
It’s like you guys can read my mind 🧐🛸 I was going to start working on this over Christmas break.

intro is fire.
I'll probably do something like this but 3D print some of the components.
That sounds awesome, send a pic when you do!
@@JakeWeisler I'll post on my community page and probably do a video on it as well but it will have to be after the Holidays.
I’m so early that I don’t have anything funny to say
got a peg board... but used very few peg board accessories :)
Alright back to hardware mode... Nice setup!
Keep up the good videos Jake. Have you ever used the canon 80. If so, do you think it's a good camera? Could you please do a video sometimes on how to use different focal length and how it effect depth of field? Thanks!
M50 would get you more bang for the buck. Look for anything with 10bit video and any other features you'd want. Thats my recommendation at least, haha
Great video! I love the way you made it.
The video everyone wants!

Nice! I did one similar to Becki and Chris and also made a video about it! Super helpful!
**Question please**. The motion pop ups when pointing out items, was that done in Premiere or FCP? If Premiere, could you share where you got them?
Heck yeah I need this!!!!
Love from India 🤩
top tip, you can buy right angled cables and shorter ones too
nice intro
Great video it really turned out great. Where did you get your custom peg board made? Love the look of it.
Heyyyyy
Great set-up 👍

Where is the link for the items?
I appreciate the work , but bro you gotta wrap that XLR nicely
Hi, does anyone knows what the sound effect is in 0:15? I remember I have seen the tutorial in FTF but can't remember. Thx.
Where is this peg board from?
Beautiful
and when shooting 300km away from home for 3 days you get your board with you? ;- )
Well done 👍🏻
and... when you travel you take the hole panel with you? :)
What kind of lamp is behind on the wall
Thanks FTF!
What did you use for the gimbal?
Nice
Is it possible to do this with wood this question is because I have a lot of wood in my house
Stop the light leak will look better
Super......
thats nice fire hazard... :D
I was thinking of that too :)
Why is it a fire hazard? Honest question. Why is this more hazardous than the standard way of charging all of this?
@@brandonlee1292 heat form chargers. chargers should be always in ventilated iron /steel box. Always....
I've built mine out of an ironing board. It looks crap, but it works xD
cut off the plug and put the cable behind the pegboard and put a new plug on! Even better !
Is it okay to constantly leave the batteries plugged in?
same question
No. Batteries are happiest at 70% charged.
Final upgrade: Position a smoke detector directly above this charging station.

Groovy
One day I will be like this guys 😂

I'm waiting for someone to up the ante and create a wireless charge board. Electrical Engineers...ASSEMBLE.

There’s probably a better way of doing this 🤣
