Well, it is a good idea and I do organise my stuff just like you do here. What I did as a bonus to secure the gear better and prevent the hooks from falling off when taking a camera was to ziptie from one hole to another the hooks. That way they dont move when taking the cam off.
I am using this Ikea SKÅDIS Pegboard (8 boards) for my airsoft gun which weights from 1kg to 4kgs each and I am confident how sturdy this board is. So, these cameras/equipments are safe with this kind of setup. Will do this also from my cameras and drones. Nice setup. Ganda and and linis ng dating!
I would be scared to use that pegboard for my cameras. the difference is that dropping an airsoft gun (or tools like I use it for) won’t break it - dropping a camera and lens will. Because of the way those hooks attach to the pegboard when I lift things off of it the hooks sometimes the hooks will come out of the pegboard. I’d be scared to put expensive camera gear on it. Probably works for you bc you’re more careful than I am taking things in and out.

It’s so useful! Really does help declutter but for the most part everything around it is still messy 😂
