I clicked due to curiosity of this need, I stayed because your organization on this space was by and far beyond anything I could have imagined. I'm suddenly looking at my work from home desk and thinking that I need a tech bench for my storage solution. This was a great inspiration and I can't wait to see how this inspires others.
Question, do you clean your office before you film. Do you have like somebody who cleans the office for you? Because your office is so neat … can’t imagine the work you guys do behind the scenes.
haha we clean it like once every two weeks. But we try to always keep it organized. There is a space that is most often a mess but I avoid showing it. Although its going to be all cleaned up and worked on soon!
Thoroughly enjoyed this , Andres. As you know , I have a maiden workbench waiting to be pimped and you’ve given me some much needed inspo! For your tools , I have two recommendations. I see you’re rocking DeWalt too - they look awesome on a black pegboard. Another option is a tall cabinet with rolling doors. I use that to keep the rest of my tools as well as the the incoming and outgoing tech !
Thanks a lot for watching brother!! I definitely need to take a look at the tall cabinet... I think that's going to be even better. The dewalt tools tho take too much space. I rather keep things that I use all the time on the pegboard!
The first thing I imagined was a black rolling two-door cabinet with slightly smoky/dark glass right next to this. Wooden shelves inside, strip lights installed at the back either under each shelf or running the length of the cabinet. And then I saw your comment and got a huge dose of validation dopamine, lol.
Awesome video dude! I wasn't sure between this one and some of the smaller options that don't have the pegboard and the powerbar but after seeing everything you were able to do with those, I'm definitely leaning on this one!
You guys are awesome, I'm currently designing my space and found a similar model here in Germany. It's not as nice as this one, but it seems to have the exact same size. I love the idea of organizing everything in it, and I plan to do the same with the coffee machine. Thanks for the inspiration, I'm excited to start remodeling my room in a few days.
For home organization we have Marie Kondo, for Tech gear organization we have Andres Vidoza! The workbench looks really neat and the organization of all your tech gears is amazing!
to solve that matt backing issue throw some 3M command strips (Mount them with the removal tab facing in so they can be easily removed from the drawer surface in the future by giving you room to pull them on plane with the drawer surface. You need about two inches of free space (voice of experience here) on the underside of the front corners of the matts. they are velcro but both parts can be removed if you ever need to. best solution ever. Another idea I have seen are those super strong magnets in the corners.. I have pets so I am always worried about one getting loose and swallowed by pets or kids so I go wit hthe command strips. You can always use the industrial velcro squares if you never plan on removing the Velcro base from the drawer surface. Eitehr way this allows you to change the matts if you ever need to or to remove them for cleaning (Grease, oil, coke a cola spill by GF / SO? LOL 😁😁
@@gmailbatman Same. Even said it out loud to the monitor, lol. "Dude, command strips!" His idea about magnets in the corners are an even better solution IMO. Quicker, easier, anytime remove/clean/replace solution.
little suggestion: For the allen key situation, u could get a ratcheting screwdriver that holds different sizes of allens. there are long and stubby versions of these screwdrivers.
A toolbox is such a great solution for an office. Ive got several in may garage and now will add one to my studio. sucks they get so expensive the larger they get. That laser Dyson is a game hanger but also horrifying…I had no idea how much my frenchie sheds😂
I have also taken my tool chest on site for Lan parties or building network installation. I bring a couple of kryptonite chain bike lock and loop it through each handle and usually attach to a water tor drain pipe when I set up. If it doesn't reach both aI run a chain between them under the cabinet. Its too low for easy access with an angle grinder to cut the chain. (Tool chests can disappear from worksites very easily. They just seem to float away! I also have a hotspot WAP that I can connect to the local network and a security camera mounted on it as well in a discreet non-visible place that give me full view of it when I am away from it with motion senor reporting enabled. A small UPS in the doorcabinet can power it if needed. . the Kryptonites also make goo tiedowns for transport too.
I used butterfly toggles in place of the Zip Ties so the whole setup is removable for transport and can be easily set up and a new location of Jobsite. Zip ties typically have a tensile strength of about 120lbsa and industrial zip ties can go up to 485 lbs. FYI. I used removable magnetically attached LED under cabinet lights from Amazon. they are rechargeable or can be directly connected using USB cables. This also gives us portable lights for work or in the case of a power outage they stay lit and can be used for safe building exits.
I have that same toolbox. I despised the drawer liner moving all my tools. I solved it by putting some small magnets at the front and back of the liner. Tools never move now.
My pc case is heavy. It's like 75 to 80 pounds. I can't take a chance and put it up on one of those ikea desk butcher blocks or cabinets. The Husky Heavy Duty Welded 20-Gauge Steel 1-Drawer 2-Door Garage Base Cabinet is perfect
Gerard, if you're considering this as a desk rather than an off-to-the-side organization, consider that sitting in front of it on a stool will mean you're hunched over to reach past your knees to get to the keyboard. Ow. I've got a motorized sit/stand desk from Autonomous that'll easily lift 300lbs 51" into the air. I've laid on it and raised it all the way up. It'll easily handle your beefy PC case, a few monitors, and all the different tablets, peripherals, and whatever else you want to throw on it. Plus you'll have room for your knees and legs underneath. :) I've had it for 5 years and it's still going strong. I easily recommend the brand. (I only wish they'd offered the L-shaped desktops back when I got mine!)
great video Andres! would love to know how you handled the thermal throttling on the m2 MacBook air! edit: the cinematic was on point! keep up the quality!
Some ppl might think that he is flexing around with his tech after watching this video but the stuff he got are mostly for reviews and showing features.
For the mats honestly, just a peice of double sided tape in the front would fix it. Or maybe 5 one for each side, and one in the center then just place firmly down.
Dollar Tree sells pegboard bins now...I think they only come in white but you could get some Kryon plastic paint and easily make them whatever color you want.
This man doesn’t get enough credit for what he does. I appreciate how much effort you out in your videos man!
Thank you thank you!!
Never stop with the amazing intros at the beginning of every video!!!

With this economy a $200 -300 60-72 inch workbench is better value than any ikea or amazon large desk in terms of quality and durability
