The lady boss didn’t just tell him she’d do better, she also gave him like 20k or something and promised to fix the pay issues, she was really sweet in the whole clip
A friend of mine used to work for this company and shortly after this episode aired the pay structure changed. Employees were no longer docked for materials and the pay went more to a flat rate type like auto service techs get. His pay increased quite a bit, even though his hourly rate didn’t. If he was given one hour to fix something and he did it in 45 minutes, he still got paid the hour, but the flip side is if it took 2 hours to fix, he still got paid only an hour. Some jobs couldn’t be charged flat rate and for those it was a simple hour per hour type work. This is pretty common in the construction industry which is much better than the commission system they had before. He used to get charged for a gas bottle for the torch on the truck. And at least at his shop, you didn’t have assigned trucks. You were docked if you were the one that grabbed the new bottle. He would complain how he would get a bottle for one truck, the next day he was assigned a different truck which needed a fresh bottle and he was charged again, even though he didn’t use a full bottle the day before. He just started buying his own bottles and keeping it in his personal tools, it was much cheaper for him.
For the Dwyer Group - she was super caring and sweet! She didn't just promise Wayne that she'd look into his payroll concerns, she also gifted him $20,000 to put as a down payment for a home for him and his kids. He was really shocked. I think Dina was really a great boss.
I was coming on her to say the same thing!!! Dina seems like an amazing boss and should NOT be on this list! She said they are looking at the pay issues and she also gave him $20k!!!

I watched that episode many years ago. From what I remember there was more to her getting fired than just not wearing a bikini. She was also lazy and was ignoring customers.
Unless he was sending me to study under Gordon Ramsay, I would have walked out. Or take the cooking course, and while I'm studying try to find another employer who would be willing to take me.
I worked for a hotel as a chef, and they didnt want to pay overtime...they kept saying the pay periods were different..i told them for the last time if they shorted me i would quit...on dec24..they screwed me...and then I screwed them...quit...but they knew..cheap ppl
Like walmart they make you stay past your shift and come next day or so and say you have to cut the overtime so you work free for them those hours.

I will never patronize any of these companies. If you don't take care of your employees, you certainly aren't gonna take care of me as the customer.

Honestly the first guy was kind of creepy about it from when he was saying he was like "i really wanted to see you in that binki that's the reason why I'm fired you!" Really dude? But to be fair I wouldn't work there in the first place but hey money is money and especially when you're on hard times

And this is the same guy that rewarded another employee by buying her breast implants. The girl was something like 19 and so excited by the thought of “new boobies” because now she wouldn’t have to talk to customers as much - they’d do the talking for her.

Not a chance. The name of the establishment is bikinis... sexist it may be, but she knew what she was signing up for and the company has the right to set any dress code that doesn't violate local health and safety regulations. Wearing the "uniform" is part of the job she agreed to do. I of course think it's tacky and not a place I would take my business, but that girl unfortunately has no case.

Let's be honest here, he didn't fire her because she wore a shirt. He fired her because she was delusional. I mean, she was claiming to see the cameraman. What cameraguy? He obviously needed to let her go if her hallucinations kept up.
They know the cameras are there they think it is a different reality show. Sometimes they tell them it is about people who want to change careers sometimes they bring in a actor or two and say it is about people competing for a job with the company.
The contract was to wear bikini doing the job, but it’s understandable that she felt it wrong to be exposed on camera. Note that her top has the Bikini brand on it so she was wearing part of the uniform. She shouldn’t have been fired.

@@General_Zod99 thank you for explaining it again, even it should be common sense, you dont like that companys rules, then just dont work there, it would be like someone that wants the salary of a soldier, but then when a war breaks out refuse to go to the frontline, or a medic that dont want drive fast because hes scared, you know their rules and agreements to that workplace, you can gree to that or search a other work place.
By today its nit even an argument with "revealing outfit" i had 3 months ago a snapchat account after 5 minutes already deleted it again, there they show themselves in far more revealing outfits on their own out (that was just recommended channels for a fresh created account), but then want to blame the company rules then, and that rules have even more clothes then what they wanna reach over instagram, Snapchat or even twitch before the rules get overworked (simple said bath tubs streams), but yeah again thanks for explaining it to it that double morals and the simple solution, got a thumbs up from me.
If it was for a disability I'd see it as bad. But if you're not comfortable being objectified, don't work at a breast restaurant.

Half the bosses on here should of cut the workers a check that weren’t getting their over time. Not check up on it or send them to a school to do what they’re doing already. Oh yeah-and it’s illegal not to pay overtime that’s been recorded..yes I think I read that somewhere once.

The last guy wasn't that bad, at least what they showed. He wasn't yelling, he wasn't seriously insulting. Being called a hurricane after making a mess is no big deal. If you can't roll with that, you shouldn't be working. The CEO couldn't handle the job and blamed his kitchen manager.

That may well be. The whole episode was basically talking how the business is going. The CEO investigated of what was going on and to his surprise that man that was bad mouthing his CEO also did that to his employees and customers. He would go swearing off like a sailor when kids are involved making the customers very unhappy. No the CEO was not butt hurt he has seen what was going on when his trainer harassed his employees and also customers. If you insult others and throw business out the door that is a red flag. To top that off if anyone is stupid enough to keep people like that guy who refuses to change his ways will repeat the same thing in another establishment. Most people don’t tolerate harassment like that in any country. It was right of the CEO and his employees taking this diplomatically and giving fair warning to this man for wasting their pay checks and ruining a business.

Refusing to wear a uniform, even if it's a bikini, is no fault other than the employee. This would be no different than most other companies. She was fired because she refused to follow the rules. It's really as simple as that.
They should close the bar for forcing women wearing almost nothing.

I should try to get my boss fired. She is my one and only mine trap at work. My boss was upset I had signed up for a one-person shift. I'll admit I'm kind of a slow learner and do much better with a helping hand and guide, but come on, that's no excuse for being insensitive. One of our student leader's responsibilities is organizing who works which shifts on the schedule, and my boss scolded him for not noticing I had signed up for a one-person shift. When she asked him if she thought I could do the shift, I answered for him with a firm "yes," because I felt belittled by her. She said she didn't think so, was all "I've told you not to sign up for shifts by yourself, I've been very clear about that, I don't know how much clearer I can get for you to listen" (something like that, so I'm not perfectly quoting her), and she told me I need someone there to give me instructions and guide me. I regretfully didn't stand up for myself, because I was intimidated. She also once strictly questioned me for putting black linens on the tables for the wedding reception instead of white, the correct/usual color (but in my defense, we usually put on black linens for *any* event, and I don't even generally set the reception linens). Well, now I harbor a huge amount of resentment toward her, and I pretty much don't care about her anymore. Of course, I can't quit just because of her, because the job itself is actually beneficial. But maybe if I list all the times she was strict, stern, and obtuse, I can get her fired?

The Best Western one wasn't bad. CEO offered to pay for cooking classes. Culinary school isn't cheap. Once graduated, he can demand higher pay for his education.
Works 80 hours a week being robbed of overtime. Get's cooking course so he can "do more". Pay him what he's owed.
@Raymond Lenzner not saying don't pay him. But at least they're giving him schooling that would have cost him in the thousands that he can now use to demand better pay or use for his resume. Mr. Rooter only said they'd look into it. No furthering education classes or anything.
@@SWAZDUDE Just because someone is worse (Which that is debatable) doesn't make it right. Best Western cooks should be paid around $20hr, especially if he is the head cook doing 3 cooks' job. Overtime is 1.5x pay after 40 hours so $30, and he worked 80 hours making it 40hrx$30. The overtime pay he was missing out on was $1,200 every week this man worked. They owe him around $62,000 for every year he worked. They stole that from him, required by law in most states.
He offered to send him to a "cooking course" not culinary school. A cooking course is generally just $25-$100hr. He'll probably only spend $1000-$5000 top for that course, less than one week of what they owe. Plus, if he's working 80-hour weeks, when does he have time for that?
They worked this man to the bone (have you ever worked an 80 week? It's exhausting) and robbed him of $60,000 a year. The rooter workers at least worked normal hours. Your argument is like someone burned down your home on purpose, but he gave you a gift card to Home Depot. So it's not all bad.
But it is a trap. Kind of pay it forward... We pay for your school, now you owe us to stick around so we can abuse your ass even more.
It's free in the UK which is where this was.

I don't care for it, I think it's a kinda lame gimmick, but the fact is this. it was the dresscode. it's like wearing a blue shirt while working at Target. The dress code is enforced on everyone & if someone doesn't do it. then everyone will think they don't need to do it.

Because his three reasons for firing her were
1) You didn't wear a bikini (based on what was said only because of the fliming and she would wear it at any other time)
2) she didn't cut a guy off from buying drinks when the CEO thought that man had enough already
3)she said she didn't plan to make a career out of working a bikini bar she was just doing it to pay the bills
