@@Tibli13 Oh, ohhhhh. I kinda just figured you were talking about Bulbears because I do vaguely remember them being kinda uncommon in Pikmin 1, but that makes more sense.
Little bit of Hairy Bulborb trivia: while it's not that noticeable and doesn't make a ton of difference, they *do* actually have a hidden ability. Most Bulborb variants (at least in Pikmin 2) prioritize shaking over attacking. This means if you can pile enough Pikmin on them fast enough, they'll basically become "stunlocked" and unable to attack. Hairy Bulborbs are different, though. If there're Pikmin in their line of fire, they will *always* bite, no matter how rapidly they're taking damage. Unfortunately, they just don't have any sort of health buff or back armor that'd make that ability anything resembling useful, which is probably why so few people know of it to begin with.
The Empress Bulblax resulted in one of the most hilarious Pikmin wipes that has ever happened to me. It was the first time I played Pikmin 2 and had all my Pikmin on one side beating the crap out of it. The Empress Bulblax rolled over all my Pikmin killing them all. I did not expect it to roll over so I laughed at that for a good half hour because of the massive cloud of dead Pikmin and the screams.
i started playing pikmin 2 months ago and it's become my favorite video game series ever. i already own 3 of the games and i'm waiting to have enough extra cash to buy the 4th one. seriously a top tier nintendo franchise. so much personality and creativity in every game.
@@realHeff yeah it was. Honestly that whole fight felt weird, I was hoping for a new boss fight at the end of Olimar’s side missions, and that was *kind of* that.
Really appreciate the use of video clips while talking about each enemy, especially as someone who has not played all the Pikmin games to see all of them myself.
As a note: male Sheargrubs and Shearwigs aren't a *guaranteed* kill if they bite something, just very close. As soon as one of them bites a Pikmin, they're invulnerable to all damage... *except* a goomba stomp. Landing a Pikmin directly on it while it's about to eat *will* save the Pikmin in question. It's just very hard to do without something like a Purple Pikmin AoE.
That is also only true in Pikmin 1, because of a bug that makes them invulnerable when they grab a pikmin. In 2 and 3 , they're not, and you can kill them easily just by swarming.
@@VitorHugo-jx9fh It's not a bug, I'm pretty sure it's intentional to make them more threatening and give them the role of picking off one or two pikmin to throw off your count and make them drop parts.
Tip for the orange bulborb: wake it and let it chase you. Once your out of range, it will go back to its spot and sleep. As soon as it looks around and yawns, immediately attack it from behind as fast as you can. That animation is an absolute life saver and attacking it during that time will give precious seconds for a head start.
One thing that makes bulbears even more dangerous... In the perplexing pool I remember this, I saw it as it chased me down behind the ship and I went to the part where you throw whites over to where that onion is... THIS THING CLIMBED OVER THE WALL (next to the ship) TO GET TO ME AND I SHAT MYSELF
14:56 HOLD ON! If a pikmin and puffmin have a fight, then halfway into the fight WHISTLE BACK THE PIKMIN! If you do this right you get a cool animation of the puffmin turning back into a pikmin (it doesn't pause the game so don't worry about doing it as many times as you want)
There's actually a funny trick you can pull with the Aristocrab. Take a Pikmin with a Bomb Rock, bring it to the crab, and it will snatch the bomb, push the Pikmin a safe distance away, and eat the bomb for an instant kill
@@ShuckleShellAnemia It's not even worth using a bomb rock on the Snagret. A group of 40 sprayed Winged Pikmin kills it instantly. I think Rock Pikmin are also immune to it but I'm not sure (since they're immune to other "stabbing" attacks). Point is the Snagret was nerfed super hard in 3 for some reason
@@WingedFish66 I’m not making a value judgment about whether it’s worth using a bomb rock on a snagret, simply saying it also has that mechanic wherein it takes increased damage when eating a bomb rock compared to taking a blast externally. Additionally, snagret health varies by which mission map or difficulty level you’re playing in. Rock pikmin are not immune to being eaten by snagrets. They can also grab captains with their “head-stuck” attack
01:05:00 The pyroclasmic slug is more an obstacle for when you're trying to use the autopathing feature in 3, in which case the AI will walk your character and Pikmin straight through the fire trail if you don't keep an eye on them. it's not even the enemy trying to do anything, but the game punishing you for using a feature incorrectly.
@@realHeff unfortunately I'm speaking from first-hand experience lol, tried to split everyone up when I first got the game and it did not go well primarily due to these guys.
@realHeff I was doing a hard mode play though and I was just winding down getting some juice and had auto walk on while I was on my phone and my pikmin walked straight into a fire with my captain needless to say I paid more attention after that
I remember trying a no death run of Pikmin 3. I had to do the Mireclops 20 times. Rock and Winged Pikmin both drowned easily, especially with the sprays. Meanwhile, I could barely get a few attacks in with Blue Pikmin which made it more likely they’d get squashed or licked.
Its definitely killed more of my pikmin than any other boss in Pikmin 3, but most runs I kill it with no deaths first try. The other bosses are harder to have no deaths, but kill much fewer pikmin. least pikmin kills for a boss would be the armored mawdad, its the easiest boss in all of pikmin imo
When you think about it from the perspective of the Sandbelching Meerslug being a realistic animal rather than just a videogame enemy, it makes sense that its rocks don’t pulverize pikmin they hit, since if they did the meerslug couldn’t eat them. So instead they bury them, allowing the meerslug to eat them, since it’s one of the few enemies that can eat buried pikmin
I have an old save file where I got perfect clears on all the Challenge Dungeons in Pikmin 2. Purple flowers and all. I have absolutely no idea how I did that, and almost no memory of even doing it. I can't even kill one of those badass cyborg spiders without grievous, grievous casualties.
I was playing 原生の杜 (forgot the English name, it's the first challenge mode level in Pikmin 3) and the Whiptongue Bulborb was aggroed out of its room and slurping up Pikmin that were collecting gold next to the slide. The range on that boy is incredible
fun fact. the small bulborbs are called "dwarf bulborb" and quote "mimic bulborbs to avoid becoming prey". they are a diffrent species of creatures to the bulborb (bulborb being of the grub-dog family) and dwarf bulborb being of the (breadbug family)
Whiptounge bulborbs are easy in my opinion, just throw rock pikmin at it's face when it has pikmin on it's tongue, the amount of time for the whiptounge bulborb to swallow is like 5 seconds, but red bulborbs and their orange cousins eat pikmin in a split second! Sure, their tongue have a wide range, but you can easily get the whiptounge bulborb to spit out trapped pikmin with rock pikmin!
No matter how many times I play through Pikmin, I never see the Smoky Progg coming, so I agree with it being so high. Also glad you put Man O Legs (or Man At Legs?) at the top, I remember running and avoiding that gunfire for the first time and getting behind a wall and being like "what the absolute hell was that?!?"
That and then running back to the ship to rethink everything in panicked hysterics believing you've got ample time to catch a breather and before you know it it's frantically moving in on your location. At first, you're nervous because how squirrel-y it is but you convince yourself to think "Nah, it couldn't possibly! I mean, it'll stay in its arena, for sure! cling-kla-cling-clank* HEHE!! HEHE!! *Cling-Kla-Cling-Clank* Hehe! Hehe! **KLING-KLA-KLING-KLANK** hehe.. heh.. GASP* HOH FAAWWKK!!!"
Honestly I felt the same sentiment with the Man-At-Legs as I did with the Smoky Progg. Anything that disregarded the arbitrary safe zone I set up in my head like the onion nest or the hovering ship tip and crossed over that boundary had me flippin' out back when I was a kid. Of course, anything that did was ravenous enough to wreak absolute havoc on my troops too. Surprised I still had morale to push past those scenarios haha
I absolutely hate bullbears. in pikmin one if you optimize your playthrough, you'll basically never encounter them...but in pikmin 2...holy shit these wall hacking bastards are everywhere and have the whole gang following
My most memorable Pikmin memory comes from when I was a lot younger. (I forget exact age, but I was in late elementary or early middle school.) In my first playthrough of Pikmin 2. When I encountered the Man-at-legs for the first time, my Pikmin numbers were already struggling due to the dungeon whittling them down. (I think I had anywhere from 30-60 left.) That thing DECIMATED me. Pikmin died in droves-- I was left with two Pikmin; a yellow Pikmin and a purple Pikmin. But I didn't give up and kept fighting. Each captain got one Pikmin so that if I messed up the other captain was still safe. So I sat there, whittling away at the boss for about two hours. When I finally beat it, I was elated-- I felt like I had done the impossible! And luckily enough, the treasure it drops is only 5 weight, so that meant I could leave and never return!
I’m so glad you added “If it’s your first time playing” as not everyone has played it and there are dangerous enemies if you’re new which is the case as everyone didn’t have the plus of the internet the first time playing.
I got 10 days but i think i can get it lower I spend 3 days in the snow area 2 days in the spring area I would have done the summer area in to days but on the 2nd day i wasted time and had to do a 3rd day copy your save file kids And it is possible to do the fall area in one day but i did it in 2days
I have hundreds upon hundreds of hours in all of the Pikmin games (except Hey Pikmin because like its Hey pikmin), and I cannot find content for these games. And even more so, usually what content I do find has people relatively inexperienced. Unlike a lot of Pikmin content, this man has actually played the games a lot and understands everything well--I was amazed by how much I agreed with everything. And this video is almost an hour and a half too! Thanks man. Can't wait to return to this video every couple of months to binge-watch it again while eating a bunch of goat cheese and crackers.
I have no way to prove it, but I swear I have watched Chuggaaconroy for ~6 or 7 years now. It's been so long since he's done anything for the series, I don't know how I forgot him. But I've watched each of the Pikmin lets-plays several times--that man WAS my childhood. Don't worry, I was there every second of it :)
Just discovered your channel through this video and I'm loving all the Pikmin content! I'd be very interested to see a tier list for Pikmin 2's caves :0
Hardest enemy for a new player will definitely be the waterwraith but once you have played the game multiple times it is without a doubt the bulbear or the Gatling groink you can make strategies for most of the bosses like use Louie/president to make sure the larva don’t kill everyone and plasmwraith all rock pikmin and titan dwevile yellow pikmin once you get good you don’t even need to worry about the waterwraith until the boss fight
Another scenario where the Mitites can ruin you is when you are fighting the Segmented Crabster. Imagine having him ram into the wall, seeing an eggshell drops onto the arena, near your pikmin squad, and then Mitites emerge from the egg. It blows my mind how Pikmin 2 can be such a chill and relaxing game at times, but also ruthless at other times.
Hairy Longlegs is actually incredibly easy if you're using only Rock Pikmin. Rocks are completely immune to its stomping, and are even able to latch onto its legs and pluck its hairs like any other Pikmin. Of course this doesn't apply to the one in the distant Tundra since you're required to use Blue Pikmin for that fight
I cannot name every enemy but I own and played all three games. Thanks for the rundown! Nintendo, if you are listening, please give us more Pikmin levels!
the golden hairy long legs is really difficult, you fight it alongside another miniboss, it has feet the size of the raging long legs with the non stop attacks of the baldy, and it is tanky af, I would say it is around plasm wraith levels of deadly, mainly because it takes half the day to get through.
It's actually pretty easy to cheese the Emperor Bulblax in Pikmin 1, the GameCube version at least. Grab 45 Yellow Pikmin and 55 Red Pikmin, get 45 bomb rocks (they're all in the bomb rock spots outside the arena), disband your red pikmin near the arena where you can quickly whistle them, throw all the bomb rocks just at the border of the arena (you want to specifically throw, not disband as disbanding them puts them in a completely idle state where they won't use their bomb rocks at all). Then you wanna activate the Bulblax and wait until it attacks your bomb rock Pikmin. When it's doing its build up animation, I'd say just a tiny bit after it starts doing it, whistle your Bomb Rock Pikmin so they drop their bombs and come back to you. If you timed it right, the Bulblax will experience the full force of 45 bomb rocks. Quickly whistle your reds and just start spamming your Pikmin on it. It will be stunned for long enough that you can throw all 100 pikmin onto it and it will die before it recovers. This strategy does not work on the Wii version since Yellow Pikmin don't drop their bomb rocks when whistled.
honestly after only really playing pikmin 3 as a kid, pikmin 2 was a bit of a shock because of how much harder every enemy is. in my first few days i lost about 10 pikmin to a regular bulborb because they're just so much easier in pikmin 3 what with swarming
@@seanbrennan5192 to be honest I haven't really played the first pikmin game since I was really little, I do remember that creepy flaky wraith thing tho (can't remember the name)
Had no idea you can swarm the Meerslug's mouth, so I thought there was downplay. Although... I don't think I've lost a Pikmin to it - the sandpit just made me really nervous (until now).
Man the Pikmin 1 Cannon beatle completely wrecked me as a child, I thought it was completely invulnerable. The day I had the idea to throw a Pikmin into it's air-hole is such a good memory for me 😂
My first pikmin game was 3 and I obviously wasn't very good at the time, so a small piece of my soul withered everytime you said "i've never seen (x) kill any pikmin", as well, uh, I usually had. I really enjoyed this video tho! One thing about the Crushblat I randomly thought about is that it would probably be way harder if it were more in the open. Because its treated a bit like a miniboss, it usually spawns in its own corners of the map, meaning you can just bring all your rock pikmin. If it showed more frequently, you would probably be forced to have non-rock pikmin at least nearby while you fight it, meaning they could be in danger.
I think this list could've really used a "harmless" tier to empty "EZ" and free up "meh" a bit Also, I never even considered that the cannon beetle boulders might be full of magnetic metal, which makes them attracted by your suit
23:27 Great choice placing it in danger, because as you said, it has ruined my life at least once a play through lol I remember I was at sublevel 6 of the Frontier Cavern, and the game just decided to spawn 1 of this stupid sh¡ts right at my resting area, ruining my life, BY CRUSHING *90* OF PIKMIN IN 3 ROWS, couldn’t take the mistake, didn’t save, and redid the sublevel 💀
That thing gives me truama, the first time I played through the level I didn't know what to do. Since, I had never played another Pikmin game, the chase section confused me severely... (It's also the only part of the game like that.)
i'm sitting here with 200+ rock pikmin per playthrough and y'all are here getting pikmin extinctions from the thing that doesn't kill any of mine *how*
The scornet maestro has the honor of taking my first pikmin deaths in Pikmin 3, but I agree that he's really not very threatening, seriously though it could've probably been a perfect run otherwise
As a new play control player, half of pikmin 1's difficulty comes from whether or not an enemies hitbox will push pikmin under the world and kill them during the death animation
You can absolutely damage and kill the Phosbat before turning on all the lights. My son and I do it all the time. Each time you turn on a new light, it becomes visible for a small amount of time, and you can take it down very quickly with some Reds and/or Yellows clinging on to hit while you pelt it with Rocks.
Man i really hope the pikmin 2 hack community is still alive. Remakes of it tend to feel like an expanded universe and it's just a really comfy/adventurous game.
So many of these, especially Pikmin 3 enemies, become trivial with experience. Plasm Wraith - use rocks and only rocks during the fight and you're golden, as the stabbing attack cannot kill rocks, and will instead fling them, so all you have to worry about is whistling them to safety from the elemental attacks Shaggy long legs - pinks wont be crushed and can fly directly to the core to damage it, all you have to do is bomb the legs Sandbelching meerslug - when it tries to suck pikmin in, give it a bomb instead, easiest boss ever Armored cannon larva - only appears in one place in the story I believe, and poses no threat to rock pikmin Joustmites - pose no threat to rock pikmin Peckish aristocrab and spotty bulbear - trick it into eating a bomb, or spam rocks until it dies, either way works Armored mawdad - break the shell off the tail, then charge reds at it, it won't last long orange bulborb - it is never necessary to fight the trio of orange bulborbs in the twilight river, but if you really feel like you must, use a bomb and kill all 3 at once Summary of this comment - pikmin 3 is easier than pikmin 1 or 2 by a longshot, in no small part due to the presence of rock pikmin
listen, I'm also a big Pikmin fan despite having only played 3 and 4, and watched a bunch of tierlists and overall opinion videos on Pikmin as a whole, but seeing you rank all these enemies knowing exactly how hard they are to beat, where they appear, what they're named etc. is really fascinating, I could NEVER memorize more than 10 names of Pikmin enemies, really
What fate is worse: -Clearing a cave with full of Gatling groink’s and a few other enemies and treasure’s. Or -Trying not to lose any Pikmin to the Plasma Wraite
I feel like my answer would depend on the type of cave as if it’s a rusty cave with the void then you could lure them into the void, but it also depends on the other enemies, hazards, if you can use the spray, how many floors and treasures are in the cave, and if you need a certain amount of a specific type of Pikmin to get some of the treasures. For the Plasma Wraith you just use Rock Pikmin during the fight.
@@rainbinedash9856 i like how this guy was just tryna do a meme. but we went full stactical strategic mode on him. we truly are the pikmin fans of all time!
In the many times I've played through pikmin 3, Skeeterskates are one of the few enemies that regularly messes up my runs, particularly the ones in distant tundra. If I don't do something about them, they will sometimes shoot my pikmin either while they're carrying the bridge pieces or the sunseed berry from the slooch and there's not a quick easy way to deal with them without winged or blues. Later in the game if you forget the one defending the raised bridge pieces in twilight river, they'll kill your winged pikmin as well, though that one is easy to deal with. I'd still only put like right above a dwarf bulborb, but it certainly does not belong down with enemies who can't kill. Hairy long legs, you can legit just throw 10-20 winged pikmin in the arena and just leave and they'll kill it by the end of the day on their own with none of them dying, takes a bit longer than baldy, but they'll do it, bringing the fruit back with them. Fighting them like normal either because a lack of time, or mission mode, it's still one of the more difficult enemies in 3, so I'd put it high in OK just for that reason.
I'm proud ever since becoming a fan of Pickman it is allowed me to appreciate the different beast that inhabit worlds. I think it an early age this was the sign that I would eventually love to come to appreciate biology and ecology hence why I love monster hunter as well. Also I love saying these things name sometimes I'm pretty sure you could rank their names on the best kind of an insult
Finally, the algorithm brought me here. Absolute content. Been playing Pikmin since before double digits I think, started with 2, then 1, then 3. Where you been all my youtube life bro. This is especially pertinent to me now because I just perfected Challenge Mode for no good reason, and dear god some of these guys. So many resets just because the Groink decided, eh, yeah, that pikmin's dead in particular. The absolute worst for me, though, was the Bumbling Snitchbug + Dirigibug + Dweevils combo in that one level. They're all mashed together in one room, Snitchbug will grab you, Pikmin dismiss, start attacking a Volatile Dweevil, reset. Or Dirigibugs just being completely random when they shake and when they don't. But I got it done. Did Bully Den last just because it deserved it. Didn't even _know_ there were Pikmin mods until a couple days ago, gonna go... watch a few. :)
I think that hairy long legs is super easy as you can use rock pikmin even tho they dont normaly grab onto things for some reason they do on this boss also if you have 2 captains put in different arenas you can easly switch between them
I suddenly got this video suggested to me, and realized it's actually my template. Didn't expect someone use it in a youtube video, so very cool to see. I also didn't realize I was missing any enemies so sorry about that!
Bless the TH-cam algorithm for giving me a Pikmin video that isn't just someone's first playthrough... As fun as those can be its nice to watch someone who clearly knows what's up. Also very glad to hear him acknowledge that the basic red bulborb has the capacity to be dangerous for new players, definitely vindicates my childhood self having nightmares about thosw freaky little dudes.
You can use rock pikmin on the hairy long legs and they'll clime the legs just like all the other pikmin and rock pikmin can't be crushed by anything they just get stuck in the ground for a second or two. So the hairy long legs or any long legs enemy in pikmin 3 isn't that bad if you have rocks.
it's technically safe, but it still takes AGES to do, and in both shaggy long legs arenas there are elemental hazards around (fire geysers in tropical wilds, lots of water in distant tundra). there's really no simple fight with that guy
Yeah, but the real gimmick of the Hairy Long Legs is that they roam, making it nigh-impossible to leave Pikmin alone with them to succeed in any scenario.
Puff Stool... This guy actually wiped my army once. I then decided to dedicate a whole day to eliminating him with Olimar's fist. This was just barely possible even with zero pikmin helping.

THIS is the kind of informative trivia that I’m looking for comment section, be like this person :)
I always thought the hair reduced the damage it took.

The hero we didn't think we needed.
You are a truly incredible individual.
thats the dedication a true hero would have
The Empress Bulblax resulted in one of the most hilarious Pikmin wipes that has ever happened to me. It was the first time I played Pikmin 2 and had all my Pikmin on one side beating the crap out of it. The Empress Bulblax rolled over all my Pikmin killing them all. I did not expect it to roll over so I laughed at that for a good half hour because of the massive cloud of dead Pikmin and the screams.
the laugh of pure insanity :)
I'm just imagining for a second before u start laughing ur face becomes ur profile pic
I wiped for the first time ever in the exact same way lol
I have like hardly any clue what's going on but the sheer level of dedication this guy has to the Pikmin series is fascinating.
Play it. It's a really good series!
i started playing pikmin 2 months ago and it's become my favorite video game series ever. i already own 3 of the games and i'm waiting to have enough extra cash to buy the 4th one. seriously a top tier nintendo franchise. so much personality and creativity in every game.
I think the Golden Arachnorb (the secret boss from Pikmin 3 Deluxe) should've been included. It's definately different enough to warrant its own spot.
Was that the one with the large feet at the end of Olimars Comeback? If so I agree, but it’s entirely possible the list was made before that existed
@@realHeff yeah it was.
Honestly that whole fight felt weird,
I was hoping for a new boss fight at the end of Olimar’s side missions, and that was *kind of* that.
I thought I was the only one who could name every Pikmin enemy on sight lmao
oh theres plenty of us.
Nah most people who played the games can lol
A lot of people can because pikmin has stellar creature design
most of us can. unlike him.
Chuggaconroy taught me well
Really appreciate the use of video clips while talking about each enemy, especially as someone who has not played all the Pikmin games to see all of them myself.
Go play them!!
There on switch now you shoud I plan to get them aging
@@magicowlofbacon9416no it’s a glitch, Pikmin 1 is held together with duct tape and glue and obviously it’s far from the only unfair glitch

I always enjoy it when TH-cam randomly recommends me new Pikmin content. I really enjoyed this video and will be checking out more stuff from you.
There's actually a funny trick you can pull with the Aristocrab. Take a Pikmin with a Bomb Rock, bring it to the crab, and it will snatch the bomb, push the Pikmin a safe distance away, and eat the bomb for an instant kill
This also works with snagret and bulbear, although it doesn’t completely one-shot snagret
@@ShuckleShellAnemia Oh right, forgot about the difficulty slider. Only have OG Pikmin 3, still need to pick up Deluxe
Good to know, good to know.
This is a really well educated comment, they're totally more of an "obstacle" for unsuspecting pikmin than a difficult enemy to fight!

Quaggled Mireclops is like. The only boss I specifically plan around in Pikmin 3. Definitely deserving of top tier
My first playthrough i lost 83 in one day. I didn't know about charge
@@davidtowers1863 in the remake of 3 you're forced to learn the charge as alph day 1
Its definitely killed more of my pikmin than any other boss in Pikmin 3, but most runs I kill it with no deaths first try. The other bosses are harder to have no deaths, but kill much fewer pikmin. least pikmin kills for a boss would be the armored mawdad, its the easiest boss in all of pikmin imo
Quaggled Mireclops was my first no-death boss in Pikmin 3. It was super hard but is still my proudest achievement.
I’m gonna start calling Ultra Bitter spray burp spray from now on lmao
I've never once been able to articulate Ultra Bitter it will always just be the burp spray to me lmao
We always called it stone spray. We were very creative growing up.
@@realHeff Well, that's what it does.
I was playing 原生の杜 (forgot the English name, it's the first challenge mode level in Pikmin 3) and the Whiptongue Bulborb was aggroed out of its room and slurping up Pikmin that were collecting gold next to the slide. The range on that boy is incredible
Puffstool, Waterwraith and Smoky Progg are nightmare fuel.
fun fact. the small bulborbs are called "dwarf bulborb" and quote "mimic bulborbs to avoid becoming prey". they are a diffrent species of creatures to the bulborb (bulborb being of the grub-dog family) and dwarf bulborb being of the (breadbug family)
If the Whiptounge were in Pikmin 1 or 2, they would have been much harder.
Yeah, cause there were no rock pikmin!
@@mochicaca123 I meant more about the Eye weak point.
When in doubt just charge with red pikmin
I absolutely hate bullbears.
in pikmin one if you optimize your playthrough, you'll basically never encounter them...but in pikmin 2...holy shit these wall hacking bastards are everywhere and have the whole gang following
raging bloyster hole of heros is the biggest nightmare ONLY BECAUSE OF THE OTHER ENEMIES
(I think I had anywhere from 30-60 left.)
That thing DECIMATED me. And luckily enough, the treasure it drops is only 5 weight, so that meant I could leave and never return!
the treasures that bosses drop adjust in weight depending on how many pikmin you have left, that's why it was only 5 weight
An hour long video where you put small cut-ins of every enemy you ranked?
This took some effort, subbed.
I remember having my brother do the Submerged Castle for me because I was terrified of the waterwraith
I’m so glad you added “If it’s your first time playing” as not everyone has played it and there are dangerous enemies if you’re new which is the case as everyone didn’t have the plus of the internet the first time playing.
This is nice man pikmin needs more of this
I love you for this hahaha (btw I finally finished Pikmin 2 100% in 10 ingame days) Needed something to wait for Pikmin 4

Bruh what, even speedruns take 11 days to get all treasures… doubt you can get everything in 10
I got 10 days but i think i can get it lower
I spend 3 days in the snow area

I have hundreds upon hundreds of hours in all of the Pikmin games (except Hey Pikmin because like its Hey pikmin), and I cannot find content for these games. And even more so, usually what content I do find has people relatively inexperienced. Unlike a lot of Pikmin content, this man has actually played the games a lot and understands everything well--I was amazed by how much I agreed with everything. And this video is almost an hour and a half too! Thanks man. Can't wait to return to this video every couple of months to binge-watch it again while eating a bunch of goat cheese and crackers.
Clearly you’ve never heard of Chuggaaconroy
Or winged pikmin but blues are better
Actually no you arent
From experience you can use rocks for the entire fight!
Awesome video. I feel like Kaizo taught you things about the Empress Bulbax the rest of us never knew, because I wouldn't rank her nearly that high.
I cannot name every enemy but I own and played all three games.
Thanks for the rundown!

Damn this list reminded me just how crazy all the bosses in pikmin 2 were. Awesome video :)
the golden hairy long legs is really difficult, you fight it alongside another miniboss, it has feet the size of the raging long legs with the non stop attacks of the baldy, and it is tanky af, I would say it is around plasm wraith levels of deadly, mainly because it takes half the day to get through.
Fun thing about the dwarf Bulborb.
It’s actually more related to the Breadbug instead of the bulborb, according to the piklopedia.
12:00 Almost 20 years later and i'm just now finding out you are supposed to not fight him at all lol
Waterwraith is literally invincible until you get to the final floor, what else did you do against it? 😆
honestly after only really playing pikmin 3 as a kid, pikmin 2 was a bit of a shock because of how much harder every enemy is. in my first few days i lost about 10 pikmin to a regular bulborb because they're just so much easier in pikmin 3 what with swarming
Pikmin 1 is harder too. Pik 1 and 2 were always my favorites. The emperor is always such a brutal fight

One thing about the Crushblat I randomly thought about is that it would probably be way harder if it were more in the open. Because its treated a bit like a miniboss, it usually spawns in its own corners of the map, meaning you can just bring all your rock pikmin. If it showed more frequently, you would probably be forced to have non-rock pikmin at least nearby while you fight it, meaning they could be in danger.
the tier list I thought I'd never see but I need to see
Puffstool should've been higher up due to the RNG of the unintended insta-kill.
By that logic too, Pikmin 1 Bridges should've made an appearance 😂

You can absolutely damage and kill the Phosbat before turning on all the lights. My son and I do it all the time. Each time you turn on a new light, it becomes visible for a small amount of time, and you can take it down very quickly with some Reds and/or Yellows clinging on to hit while you pelt it with Rocks.
Also, I’m glad I’m not the only one who scouts out the caves and over worlds first before taking my Pikmin.
Man i really hope the pikmin 2 hack community is still alive. Remakes of it tend to feel like an expanded universe and it's just a really comfy/adventurous game.
So many of these, especially Pikmin 3 enemies, become trivial with experience.
Plasm Wraith - use rocks and only rocks during the fight and you're golden, as the stabbing attack cannot kill rocks, and will instead fling them, so all you have to worry about is whistling them to safety from the elemental attacks
Shaggy long legs - pinks wont be crushed and can fly directly to the core to damage it, all you have to do is bomb the legs
Sandbelching meerslug - when it tries to suck pikmin in, give it a bomb instead, easiest boss ever
Armored cannon larva - only appears in one place in the story I believe, and poses no threat to rock pikmin
Joustmites - pose no threat to rock pikmin
Peckish aristocrab and spotty bulbear - trick it into eating a bomb, or spam rocks until it dies, either way works
Armored mawdad - break the shell off the tail, then charge reds at it, it won't last long
orange bulborb - it is never necessary to fight the trio of orange bulborbs in the twilight river, but if you really feel like you must, use a bomb and kill all 3 at once
Summary of this comment - pikmin 3 is easier than pikmin 1 or 2 by a longshot, in no small part due to the presence of rock pikmin
Yes there's only one Armored Cannon Larva, on the winding trail of steps in the Tropical Wilds
I’ve never played pikmin 2, but assault rifle spider seems like a fucking menace.
listen, I'm also a big Pikmin fan despite having only played 3 and 4, and watched a bunch of tierlists and overall opinion videos on Pikmin as a whole, but seeing you rank all these enemies knowing exactly how hard they are to beat, where they appear, what they're named etc. is really fascinating, I could NEVER memorize more than 10 names of Pikmin enemies, really
What fate is worse:
-Clearing a cave with full of Gatling groink’s and a few other enemies and treasure’s.
Or
-Trying not to lose any Pikmin to the Plasma Wraite
this question's answer depends on whether or not i have purple pikmin.
I mean, if you only use Rocks, getting no deaths on Plasma isn't very hard
I've done it before without really trying
Fun fact: the Quaggled mireclops can crush rock pikmin
I would know
I had to beat this thing deathless
I think it can’t crush them but it does create pools of water for them to sit and drown in lmao
@@realHeff yeah sometimes my pikmin would live but most of the time they drowned lmao
Oh ok but it was still a pain in the ass to beat deathless
This was extremely entertaining, loved it
In the many times I've played through pikmin 3, Skeeterskates are one of the few enemies that regularly messes up my runs, particularly the ones in distant tundra.
One time the Hairy Long legs crushed 44 OF MY YELLOW PIKMIN AT ONCE. NO CLUE HOW.
I think that hairy long legs is super easy as you can use rock pikmin even tho they dont normaly grab onto things for some reason they do on this boss also if you have 2 captains put in different arenas you can easly switch between them
Nah putting bulbear in danger is proof of a big dandori issue
The puff stool can push your pikmin out of the map when it dies and lands on them
Pretty much any enemy dead body can in the First game, that's a big issues of it's jank
I replayed pikmin 1 recently and went from 157 pikmin to 4 pikmin on emperor bulblax
Fun fact. The switch version of Pikmin 1 seems to have removed the ability for Bulbears to regenerate health
@@helispark The fire is very easy to deal with. You can actually disable to hazards before the fight. It's not hard at all, just a little tedious.
Yeah, but the real gimmick of the Hairy Long Legs is that they roam, making it nigh-impossible to leave Pikmin alone with them to succeed in any scenario.
Pikmin 1 is one of my favorite games to do challenges on just for the fact its such a quick journey.
Puff Stool... This guy actually wiped my army once. I then decided to dedicate a whole day to eliminating him with Olimar's fist. This was just barely possible even with zero pikmin helping.
