Make sure to keep them coming if I missed any more!
I still pray for the day the Pikmin world can be blessed with the Beeb family Seriously, the Greater Bladed Beeb would probably look badass in a mainline Pikmin title
Im really sad none of the enemies from Hey! came back, some couldve definitely worked like the Crystaline Crushblat, Electric Cottonade, and Queen Shearwig
I was thinking the Fiery Dwarf Bulblax would return in 4, since they introduced a big and dwarf version of the ice version of Bulborb, it would make sense for the fire variant Bulborb to have a dwarf version.
imagine if we got the Electric Cottonade as a more common-place enemy or sort of like a miniboss that needed yellow pikmin/winged pikmin or the Berserk Leech Hydroe as a secret final boss that launched dread
There is another crystal enemy that returns, the Peckish Aristocrab had a crystal claw, but its claw was replaced by a softer material that could be broken by any type of pikmin
Rock Pikmin are honestly kind of useless in the game. Same with winged Pikmin. You only need them for a few glass walls (which now look more like ice for some reason, which is kind of misleading)
Personally, if the Hairy Bulborb returns they should give it the ability to receive half damage when attacked on the back and the sleeping range of the Orange Bulborb, that way you can't just bum rush from behind and you need to be more strategic with your shots on the face, they should also be immune to being frozen due to their thick fur and their pelt can only be blown off by either sharing with Winged Pikmin as their wings will blow off the hairs and a Purple Pikmin slam as that can forcefully remove the pelt due to the intense pressure.
I think it'd be cool to have a mechanic where Pikmin thrown onto the back won't do damage but will rip off a chunk if the hair, and then fall off, needing to be thrown back onto the bare parts to do damage
I think it’s a good idea, although the freeze immunity and orange bulborb range might make it stronger than a bulbear which imo no bulborb variant should ever be. Plus giving it those traits invalidates the special traits of the orange bulborb and ice bulborb, which I’m not a fan of. But having some armor in the back is a great idea, I’d go as far as to say they should take 75% less damage from behind.
I’m glad Chuggaconroy got his wish from his pikmin 3 playthrough ‘I wish they brought back the spotted jellyfloats because it would look so good in H frickin D’
One of the later caves in the game had a name that hinted at the Scornet Maestro so hard but ended up having the most disappointing boss at the end due to how many times we already saw it.
Moss regenerates health, so it wouldn't be entirely unexpected to bring back the groink with that feature. Also I assumed the ranging bloyster is attracted to the lights on your captain, and Oatchi doesn't have a light, so the captain stuff wouldn't fit in Canon
One you forgot to mention from Pikmin 3 is the Iridescent Flint Beetle as it is said to be a subspecies of the regular Iridescent Flint Beetles we saw in 1,2, and 4.
Little fun fact about the Ranging Bloyster, it is mentioned in 4, in the Olimar's Piklopedia entries for both of the Bloysters that appear in the game. Not actually in the game, but fun that its mentioned. Bulbmin also get a mention from him to in one entry as well, the rock pikmin I think, though I can't exactly remember.
This is now my favorite Pikmin review video of all time. The way you edited it was perfectly done with all the surprise cuts, sarcastic skipping, hilarious music, and of course I always love me some good ol' random explosions. Well done my friend, well done.

I think it's quite amazing that Pikmin 1 basically has perfect attendance. The few that are not in the game at least have an enemy that is extremely similar and canonically related other than puffmin which only half count as an enemy in the first place.
Puffmin have counterparts in the sense of enemy pikmin. Those grasshoppers in 2 can steal your min and the scornets are essentially hostile winged pikmin
The puffstool in the forest navel and primordial thicket are actually a different species as seen in the piklopedia in pikmin 4 so puff min still exist somewhere
Jumbo Bulborbs and Masterhops are basically the Bulborbs and Yellow Wollywogs from Hey Pikmin. Also you forgot the Figwort insects, Doodlebug flies, Titan Dweevil Fireflies, the Hey Pikmin Skutterchucks which can climb walls, rhe various Hermit Crawmad sizes from Pikmin 2, and two special Spectralids that appear only in Hey Pikmin's cutscenes
@@zackiegrave funily enough hey pikmin was the first pikmin game I played and I 100%’d it I said that because I would’ve had people hiring people to attack me if I said that hey pikmin is good lol but yeah hey pikmin probably number 3 for my pikmin tier list

This is my best guess, but I believe the Wollyhops were renamed because "Wollywog" sounded very similar to "golliwog," a blackface toy in Europe that was somehow rather popular for a good many decades. Again, it's only a guess since I wasn't exactly raised there. I think the name Wollyhop sounds delightfully whimsical, and carries the feeling that the original North American name seemed to be going for.

Funny video, and nicely put together. Clearly a lot of effort went into this! One thing I've heard before is that since Pikmin 1, the developers wanted the Swooping Snitchbug to pick-up Olimar, but they couldn't do it, so the Bumbling Snitchbug was their way of solving the problem. Of course, they were able to compile the enemies in Pikmin 3. Your prediction of the new Creeping Crysanthemum being a family member or the Mireclops is I think very appropriate. The Quaggled Mireclops actually has 3 eyes. I actually wish it was a new Mireclops creature tbh, because the redesign is so radical 😒... Much more fitting to your prediction. The other thing is that the name "Dirigibug" comes from the word "dirigible" (der-ih--ble), which means a hardbodied airship, like a Zepplin.
How i would've returned some enemies: - *Snow bulborbs:* Dwarf bulborbs that spawn in cold caves alongside Drawf frosty bulborbs; they are immune to freezing, that's all. - *Hairy bulborbs:* They are immune to freezing aswell; but also they have the ability of the Shaggy Long Legs on which you can't deal damage unless your pikmin pluck off its hairs. - *Cloaking Burrow-nit:* They have a more similar design to the Joustmite just to do a little trolling and confuse you over which side do you attack if front for Burrow-nit or back for Joustmite. Also maybe a Flighty Cloaking Burrow-nit. - *Ravenous Whiskerpillar:* They not only pop berries but also go to try and drink any drop of spicy-spray on the ground, maybe nectar too just to add more to them; also add an adult butterfly version? After all they're lepidopterans... - *Bumbling Snitchbug:* haha takes dog away. - *Unmarked (purple) Spectralids:* We have the red, yellow and a new white spectralid; but the purple one that dropped bitter spray didn't come back obviously, but maybe if they made a Purple Spectralid that dropped bomb rocks as now they're collectable items all of the unmarked spectralids would be properly classified - *Pileated Snagret:* Maybe just give it a new ability like a scaring screech just like the bulblax roar; also a chick variant which is a recolor of the downy snagret with a hooked beak tip and a feather crest - *Medusal slurker:* Just a harmless jellyfish enemy that appears on caves that don't have to do with water as jellyfloats mostly appear on water-themed caves - *Sputtlefish:* Just bring squid back. Also buff its health. - *Nectarous Dandelfly:* It appears on the Primordial Thicket as it just fits the aesthetic. Also in 3 Deluxe, dandelfly larva is stated to be a decently powerful underwater ambush predator that hunts wogpoles and pikmin so it's a sin that they never used that idea... - *Swarming sheargrub:* used for dandori battles - *Scornets:* Keep the swarm even if the Maestro doesn't come back as in Pikmin 3 they did appeared without the Maestro; also maybe even give them a hive to be destroyed for valuables even if you piss off the entire swarm. - *Calcified Crushblat:* Bring blud back and use it better. 💀💀💀💀
Yknow who’s to say “Horned Cannon Beetle” and “Armored Cannon Beetle” isnt the same situation as “Spotty Bulborb”, “Red Bulborb”, and “Bulborb” Same guy, different game, different name
Awesome video, my man. Very in-depth. Always pleases me to see someone else on YT who knows their Pikmin stuff. These creatures will be missed. Let's have a moment of silence for them. ...Okay, that's enough.
I never realized until now that you were supposed to bait the Ranging Bloyster with one captain and use the other to attack, I always bait and attack with the same captain, bait an attack, and quickly run around with surviving pikmin in an attempt to strike
my guess was 43 and I am super proud for guessing that close to the non-Hey! Pikmin total. I never played Hey! but I've played 1, 2 and 3 dozens of times each so I like to believe that Pikmin Enemy Intuition carried over also the editing and commentary on this video was just a joy, great job!
I think they could have made the sandbelching meerslug work in pikmin 4. Make a cave based around digging things up out of sand and blowing stuff up with bomb rocks. Then at the bottom of the cave, have a sandbelching meerslug about half the size of the original with half the hp to match.
@RavenGamingOverLord It is in-fact. It's a complicated translation issue. Long story short, in Japan, the Pikmin 4 Cannon Beetle enemy has the exact same name as the Pikmin 1 Cannon Beetle enemy. The issue started because in Pikmin 1, the Canonn Beetle is said to be an invasive species. In Pikmin 2 they introduced the Larval form of a native species, but the translation just made the larva have the same name as the invasive species. So by the time Pikmin 4 is around and there's more detailed information given about Pikmin's Cannon Beetle and to fix it the translation team decided for some odd reason to rename the first Cannon Beetle rather than the larva. Possibly because Armored Cannon Beetle was never a truly accurate name since in Japan, its named in regard to the weird blowhole on its head. Which Pikmin It's Piklopedia calls its "horn".
You forgot about the Candypop Buds. Pikmin 1 and 2 had them named, being Crimson, Lapis Lazuli, Golden, Violet and Ivory. Plus, Queen Candypop Bud existed. But now, they're just known as Candypop Buds, and the Queen Candypop Bud is just deleted.
Its sad that they removed most of the crystal hazards/enemies. It almost feels like the rocks and wings were included out of obligation rather than actually wanting them in the game.
Did you know that zooming out Antenna Beetle's camera perspective in piklopedia, you create yourself a horrying fnaf jumpscare? Im not even joking, i did it before without even meaning to do it and yet i found something really cool stuff that no one else has found yet
It's honestly saddening that Puffmin and the Phosbat didn't return. Puffmin would have been a cool mechanic to have instead of this "dancing" status effect that should have been unique to Groovy Long Legs. The Phosbat's mechanics would have lent itself well to Pikmin 4's cave mechanic. It could have even had it's own cave environment type.
Here's another honorable mention the Iridescent Flint Beetle looked different in all the games. It was slightly different in Pikmin 2 and had spots in Pikmin 3 but for some reason they reverted it back closer to the original but it's still very different.
Careening Dirigibug could return if they changed it to steal items and throw them back at you (which can include Bomb Rocks but those wouldn't be its entire gimmick anymore).
Absolute w pikmin video also my guess is 36 if I’m correct that would be surprising Edit:I haven’t seen any of the vid well up to the ending of the goolix
I really miss some enemies like the Dirigibug, the Groink, decorated Cannon Beetle, Ranging Bloyster, Crawbster, Dandelfly and I really miss the impressive epicness from the Pikmin 3 bosses. Fun Fact: Olimar mentions the Bulbmins in Pikmin 4 in the Piclopedia. He talks about how the poisonous dwarf bulborb is a parasite like the Bulbmin is controlled like a parasite.
I think if Decorated cannon Larva came back, its adult variant could be introduced with the added ability of a flaming back, refrencing the Armored Cannon Beetle, which was mistaken to have a flaming back.
5:33 fun fact the reason why they changed the name is because in British the second half of THAT name is a slur for people of darker skin( and the captions clearly picked up on that) so even in all the switch ports they changed the name to the international version
the way i see it, groovy long legs is kindof a spiritual successor to raging long legs. its central core is also pretty big, and it stomps faster after being provoked
Ah shoot, I was planning on doing this same video but I guess I was a bit too slow. Very good video, basically said everything I wanted to say about it. Good work :)
The enemies I missed:
- Pikmin 1 Puffstool is canonically different than Pikmin 4 Puffstool, thus explaining the lack of Puffmin
- Candypop Buds (unique variations and Queen variety) but honestly let’s not call this one a “miss” and more an “ignored”
- There is a large version (or I guess a small version) of the Pikmin 2 Hermit Crawmad, one of which technically do not return
- Pikmin 3 Iridescent Flint Beetle is canonically a subspecies of Flint Beetle different from the Pikmin 4 version
- Figwort Insects
- Doodlebug flies
- Dweevil fireflies
- Two (magic?) Spectralids from Hey! Pikmin cutscenes
- Hey! Pikmin Skutterchuck can climb up walls so maybe it’s different
- Hey! Pikmin Bulborb design is distinctly different from all other games

Yeah I saw that the glint beetle is now a part of the same family as the normal one. It used to be in the glint beetle family

I feel like the queen shearwig could've been a neat cave boss
Hairy bulborb actually has some extra defense with the hairs making them ever so slightly tougher…. Until the purples hit it 5 times
Honestly Red Bulborb Is a better name then just bulborb as they aren’t the only bulborb species by far…
UMMMMMMMM, 53 (after video), damn i know i forgot about "HEY" but GOOD LORD THATS A LOT OF 2D BUG THINGS
18:01 glad to find someone else that agrees with me on this lol
My guess: oh I don’t know maybe around..30-50…
6:27 instant PTSD
Cloaking Burrow-nit>Joustmite
Fight me.
37 unused enemies. I ran out of ideas
2:56 uh, no, it's the same creature, they just changed the name
Pikmin 3 probably has the most unique boss fights in the games
22:48 i necer encoumtered them even tho i played pikmin 3 6 times.. tho it was the deluxe version so idk
Hey, i like the Ravenous Whiskerpillar, it's pretty cute when it squirms around when carried
Me adding emperor bulblax to my fav boss 10:34
Pikmin 2 had a larger varient of the Hermit Crawmad
You forgor mr Louie
Who knows. Maybe Pikmin 4 will get dlc that adds some of these enemies back?
1:40 YOU THINK I DIDNT NOTICE?
Fun fact: The bulbmin were scrapped alongside a green parasite bean pikmin.
Pikmin has had some wild enemies lol
Did you know that zooming out Antenna Beetle's camera perspective in piklopedia, you create yourself a horrying fnaf jumpscare? Im not even joking, i did it before without even meaning to do it and yet i found something really cool stuff that no one else has found yet
The venemoth phosbat would’ve been so good for night missions
I was thinking the same thing! It’s literally in the script but I cut it!
A thing that was missing was pikmin adventure it was a part of the game Nintendo Land and the game had unique pikmin enemies
The editing on your videos is fantastic, the gags are so well done
Any dweevil in pikmin 4 can be a volatile dweevil.
the change in the Wollyhop and the pol one is because wog is a slur in europe so it got censored for the American release this time around
Oh wonderful
Yeah. I mean, it probably still didn't need to be changed, but whatever.
I love how the man at legs was the only arachnorb that hasn't been change in pikmin 4
The hairy bulborb actually had a unique mechanic in that it would never stop eating Pikmin, even with Pikmin attached to it.
Here's another honorable mention the Iridescent Flint Beetle looked different in all the games. It was slightly different in Pikmin 2 and had spots in Pikmin 3 but for some reason they reverted it back closer to the original but it's still very different.
Idk what it is about this video i literally cannot stop watching it.
What magic did you put in this. I must know
"oh let's see what enemies didnt make it!"
**Multiple enemies just being name changes**
" i feel scammed*
Careening Dirigibug could return if they changed it to steal items and throw them back at you (which can include Bomb Rocks but those wouldn't be its entire gimmick anymore).
Absolute w pikmin video also my guess is 36 if I’m correct that would be surprising Edit:I haven’t seen any of the vid well up to the ending of the goolix
How would they update the Gatling grunt since it doesn’t look like a natural creature.
Since most of the enemies from pigment to got redesigned.
Fun fact! The wollywog families were renamed in Europe because their names contain a slur!
So fun!
The Fact: Horned Cannon Beetle and Amored Cannon Beetle Is Same Species in Japanese and Korean Version of Pikmin 4
Wow
Why do the enemy cards look like videos of a LP
Coyote, the enemies in Hey! Pikmin are 3D, just check the logs in Hey!.
“3”D
There is gonna be like a million missing enemies
Closest guess I’ve seen
I think if Decorated cannon Larva came back, its adult variant could be introduced with the added ability of a flaming back, refrencing the Armored Cannon Beetle, which was mistaken to have a flaming back.
i love how they forget enemys as a fellow pikmin
@9:42 Ok that Who’s that Pokémon joke got me good lmao😆
5:33 fun fact the reason why they changed the name is because in British the second half of THAT name is a slur for people of darker skin( and the captions clearly picked up on that) so even in all the switch ports they changed the name to the international version
the way i see it, groovy long legs is kindof a spiritual successor to raging long legs. its central core is also pretty big, and it stomps faster after being provoked
2000 enemies on the list guaranteed
The baldy long legs is in the place of the beady long legs.
The Hyrdo Dweevil kinda belongs more as an “extra” since it’s name change was also in the Pikmin 2 port to the switch
My prediction was 44, so I'm happy to see how close I was to being right
14:43 *facepalms* IT'S JUST A BULBORB WITH A LEAF!!!!!
Ah shoot, I was planning on doing this same video but I guess I was a bit too slow. Very good video, basically said everything I wanted to say about it. Good work :)
What about the Nintendo world pikmin mini game??
