Great review as always! Thank you. It's great to own a disc version Ps5, as the physical copy of the game on day 1 release costs 53 EUR in my country while the digital 69,99EUR (plus the disc can be loaned to a friend).
I started this game yesterday, now I’m on chapter 5 today and I heard it only has 12 all together. So far I’m enjoying it, however I’m already finding a few critical things that are starting to annoy me a bit. I think the game uses so many cutscenes that at times it just feels like a movie. I truly wish they implemented more interactions during the cutscenes (since there are so many) I wish you could be in a little more control in 3rd person and find ways to make it more interactive as well. Overall, I’m having fun, but there was 2 chapters that I felt were going a little too slow for my liking, it finally picks up pretty well once all the action goes down. Now that I’m practically halfway I’m curious to see it all play out. I will say that I am very impressed with the quality of actors they have on here, the cast is spectacular. The voice acting is great, however I find 1 or 2 characters a bit over the top or lacking, but there are other characters that I can’t get enough of, they definitely succeed in making this game feel like a cool 80’s B horror movie. This is my first time playing this sort of game, which is why I was interested in playing it. The graphics are great and the sound is good, just curious to see how this all ends (although I found it to be a bit predictable so far) and what kind of playability this game has. I got this game on sale for like around $40, but I don’t really find it as scary as I thought it would be.
Oh man this is the kind of game I almost want to play myself but idk. I watched a let's play of Until Dawn and I LOVED it as a passive experience, watching a couple of youtubers I like play through the game while I have my lunch (Angory Tom's playthrough with Simon), immersing yourself in a horror but in that kind of way where you are on the couch with friends, can still be spooked but also joking around and laughing about it together. I ended up watching them play through the Dark Anthology trilogy too. At some point I brought up the idea of playing Man of Medan with my wife through Game Pass. I let her take the lead but she got frustrated by the experience and never finished. It's weird to think that this kind of game is just the absolute perfect kind of game for watching a let's play of, just throw it on while having lunch over the course of a couple of weeks. I almost feel bad for the devs that so many of us will end up experiencing it like that and not end up giving them a dime (well asides from whatever they got out of Game Pass I guess.) Idk man, I'm just a working class guy, I can't justify $60 for a game I don't necessarily want to play but just watch if they are ok with me just watching it all on youtube for free. Maybe I'll redownload all their games on gamepass again just so Microsoft throws more money at them haha i have no clue how all that works.
Yeah I know what you mean man. Played through Until Dawn for 50% but found it a bit to scary afterwards. A bit later I searched up Until Dawn story explained, and I was very fascinated how they incorporated real life myths in to the game, and the deep charachter which I won’t spoil for other people. Hearing it’s a spiritual succesor to Until Dawn made me pretty excited but now I don’t know if I want to play it myself or just watch a playthrough. The fact that I am 14 also doesn’t help, idk if this game even really is for me, or maybe I want to wait a little bit until I am naturally a bit more resistant to horror. Sorry for my essay.
Thanks for such a great review Karak. I am looking forward to picking this up on release day. My favorite of the 4 preview games is Until Dawn. I enjoyed the Anthology Series, but Until Dawn had a far more entertaining narrative. IMO
It’s amazing how GOOD Until Dawn was and literally every game after it is just extraordinarily bad. They literally tried to recreate Until Dawn and made it worse in every way, with even BIGGER actors.
It seems interesting, but with money being tight in this economy, it looks like a wait for the autumn or winter sale on steam when there might be a discount.
Thought it was poor honestly, started out really strong but just went south towards the end, stories jumping all over the place and boring exploration, the tarot card system is also severely uninspired, there’s really no character development at all, played through once probably won’t touch it again. Definitely not worth the price they’re asking.

It’s on sale on the Xbox store if you’ve been waiting. $46 for regular version and $53 for deluxe. The Xbox One version is $40.
Another great review, loved the Dark Anthology series playing with a friend. Probably will be buying unless I get lucky lol 😋 Keep up the great work 😁
when you said “this video is brought to you by” i got super nervous i thought they finally got you 😂😂😂
6:55 LOL plot twist, Colonel Sanders is the ghost. He’s haunting you for eating Popeye’s XD
Can't wait to watch SGS play this. Great review as always ACG!
Picked this game up for $40 on ps5 and I’m having a blast. Definitely going to do another play through
Thanks for the review! Good stuff. Looking forward to playing this one at some point.
It may be ~10 hours for a single play through, but this game is meant to be played over and over again because of the numerous endings / trophies
I love your reviews! Incredibly helpful, keep up the awesome work!
I'm so ready, this is an instant download!¡! I will be taking my time with this one
9:56 That lip twist looked hilarious lmao. Things like these often makes games more enjoyable ngl
I've been binging this game and honestly love it, I swear some parts were filmed it's so realistic
I would like to get this game, but so many other games are coming out that are less expensive than this one. I’m going to wait for a sale.
Not gonna pay 90 AUD for essentially an interactive movie. I'll wait for sale.
I am stoked for this title. I have always liked their brand of games and story telling, and 10 hours is just crazy. Also love the review, definitely a subscriber now.
Thanks for the review, actually didn't know MP was delayed, kept me from buying it. Much appreciated.
I’m so shocked by the reception of this game. Did we play the same game? It’s so bad and not in a good way.
Thanks for the detailed review - was of two minds about this one, but definitely want to play it now.
Interesting, I never played Until Dawn but now I'll get a hold of a copy. Then I'll try this one. Nice review!
Great review as always! Thank you. It's great to own a disc version Ps5, as the physical copy of the game on day 1 release costs 53 EUR in my country while the digital 69,99EUR (plus the disc can be loaned to a friend).
Thank you for another amazing review. You're the best man.
I'm definitely picking this up. I loved until dawn, but the price is a bit high, I guess i'll wait.
Actually a good comment review.
Been quite looking forward to this and your input on it. Keep up the great content and keep up the awesomeness.
Great review AcG sarcasm at its best details with none of the fluff proof!
I’m actually pretty upset because you showed the creature and didn’t give any warning, so if you don’t wanna know here 17:18😒😩
omg same, I'm excited about it but at the same time I didn't want to get spoiled like that lol
he was showing spoilers through the entire video
Glad I've found your channel bro keep up your amazing content 👏
I do love your reviews, man.
Always great reviews mate!
Hit every point on this review. Unbias and fair. Kudos.
Thanks for such a great review Karak. I am looking forward to picking this up on release day. My favorite of the 4 preview games is Until Dawn. I enjoyed the Anthology Series, but Until Dawn had a far more entertaining narrative. IMO
Excellent review as always, been keeping a close eye on this game, these types of horror games are always fun to play if done right.
It’s amazing how GOOD Until Dawn was and literally every game after it is just extraordinarily bad. They literally tried to recreate Until Dawn and made it worse in every way, with even BIGGER actors.
“Getaway sticks” hahahah. I’ve never heard anyone else use that before. That’s how we describe my dads little legs
Very keen for this one, thanks ACG!
I believe indigo Prophecy was the best type of game like this, hopefully I can pick this up. Great video…
It seems interesting, but with money being tight in this economy, it looks like a wait for the autumn or winter sale on steam when there might be a discount.
Finally gonna check out this style of game for the first time! Thanks for the awesome review
Great review and breakdown 👍🏾, looking forward to purchasing this.
So far I'm really enjoying it despite a slow start. My only issue is the performance issues on a standard ps4 and thats a year later.
Great review as always 🙌✌️ but I believe that better for me to wait for some sale. Maybe they knock off the price soon on MS or PSN store?🤔
This is the most boring drawn out thing I've ever played. How can anyone say this is worth 70 bucks
Thought it was poor honestly, started out really strong but just went south towards the end, stories jumping all over the place and boring exploration, the tarot card system is also severely uninspired, there’s really no character development at all, played through once probably won’t touch it again. Definitely not worth the price they’re asking.
Not at all worth it at least for me $15-20 maybe
Love the setting. Plot was decent, I hated the dialogue, it felt like being in the middle of a tumblr comment section
Getting this day one. Could be a good intro to horror games for some people I know
just started this, love it so far
I can't lie, that eye thing does look REALLY distracting! Especially if you're gonna have as many close ups on faces as this appears to.
Best reviewer in the industry! Full stop. Great work Karak
6:07 "It's not Winnie-the-Pooh who did it" 😂😂😂
Wahoo. I've been looking forever for the quarry! Can't wait!
You are by far the best reviewer on YT.
Awesome review man. Love all their games. Played them all minus Little Hope, but $70 for Series X & $80 for the Deluxe is way too steep IMO.
Lol game pass spoiled y’all. Over on PS if we wanna buy day 1 these prices are normal.
@@Skateandcreate9 I’ve been gaming for 30yrs homie lol and I don’t even utilize game pass. 😂
@@gri22lybear damn then get your money up big bro
@@Skateandcreate9 Or create games worth spending $80 on because my general rules I don’t get at least 1 to 3 dollars for every hour of gameplay equivalent to the price it’s not worth it.
@@gri22lybear word, that’s understandable. You got more patience than me. If something even looks remotely interesting to me usually get it day 1 cuz i get bored waiting for new titles.
Great review! Looks like a solid game if you are willing to look past some quirky bugs
If the only negatives of the game is a few graphical glitches, then that means I have nothing to worry about with the story, characters or scares.
Not watching the review cause I'm going in blind on friday, just wanne leave a like and say I'm so HYPED 😆
i love to play these type of games with my non gamer wife (well she plays The sims exclusively). its a fun choose your own adventure horror game
