      You should have checked the compression to see if the Marvel increased compression? of course check compression before pouring it, and taking notes

    This marvel oil is roughly 1/3 mineral oil, 1/3 turpentine and 1/3 lard. Dissolves varnish deposits and frees up gum and carbon deposits. Change your oil more frequently and you avoid these problems mostly. A bit in the fuel will keep the injectors cleaner..

Wouldve been nice to see the spark plug before AND to have done a compression test then and after the whole gallon treatment 😳. And yes, who knows about what wear damage occurred as well, or what his plan B is for that car in case things went south i.e. planning to stuff it w/ big hopped up V8 and performance transmission OR its not even his car? 🤣

    Wow, a whole gallon of Marvel Mystery Oil all at once seems like way too much. I hope it doesn't hurt your catalytic converter or O2 sensors.
    I have been using MMO at every fill up in my car, truck, and lawn mower since 2016. I use the recommended amount of 4 ounces of MMO for every 10 gallons of gas. Since I have been using MMO, my car gets at least an extra 1.5 to 2 more miles per gallon on the highway.

    Way back when we had 30W oil we would add a quart of MMO to the crankcase in winter. It would thin out the oil for easier starts in winter. Four quarts 30W 1 quart MMO. We would also put it right down the carburetor for cleaning. Smoke like hell got a lot of middle fingers but it was excepted.😂😂😂😂

    You drove to the gas station after dumping the mystery oil. Oil is heavier than gas so most of it sank immediately to the bottom of the tank and a percentage of it was presumably sucked directly into the fuel pump on your way to the gas station, the percent would depend on how far away it was and how aggressively you drove. This is why the instructions say to wait till the tank is almost empty and fill the tank immediately after adding the MMO so that it will be mixed by the fuel stream entering the gas tank when refueling.

    MMM is great for the crankcase oil. But, of all the products I have added to the fuel tank, 2 cycle TC-W3 oil did the best to quiet noise lifters (tick-tick-tick) on 2 of my high mileage vehicles. It happens on cold winter startups on a 2.5L Ford Fusion and a 2.5L LIMA Mazda B2500. The TC-W3 oil really reduced and almost eliminated it. I use it in all my vehicles. Excellent startups. They run great. Here is the info: 2stroke MARINE TC-W3 oil has been used as an upper cylinder lubricant and cleaner for decades.
    It is designed to be burned in a combustion cylinder and leaves little to no residue.
    It is used at a 1 oz to 2 oz per 10 gallon of gas ratio.
    It does a great job of cleaning intake valves because of its high levels of detergent while lubricating the valve stems
    and seats. Since it burns without ash. It will not clog a catalytic converter.
    Over time, it can open up dirty intake valves and improve efficiency.
    It also acts as a lubricant for injectors.

    • @BigPawTivald
      @BigPawTivald ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ohboy2592 I had the same conversation with my friend this weekend; folks get lifters and fuel knock/ping confused as they can sound similar. If you use ethanol fuel in a old rig, depending on your timing, it can knock bad for a bit until it heats up since flashpoint and BTU is different than straight gas. Modern cars can electronical adjust timing but sometimes it not enough. MMO, ATF+4 or 2stroke oil in both the fuel tank and crank case is great as it will clear up valve train issues such as loud lifters and will help treat ethanol fuel so you don't have fuel knock + lubricate and clean. I make a mix of MMO and Lucas oil additives; one for fuel and one for oil since Lucas has different additives for both.

    Another excellent example of why engineers get old and lose their hair! Engineers spend decades learning, creating and refining all sorts of products and processes. They write instructions to optimize user experience and (in this case) vehicle longevity. You can be SURE the mfgrs of MMO want to sell more MMO - all that they can... but not at the risk & expense that likely will occur from overuse. When enginerds came up with the ratio of 4 oz to 10 gallons gas, you can be sure they had very good reason for it.

    Well; been using it for over 50yrs. But what you did, you may have made the fuel to rich. And you didn't pull the spark plug out before the test to see about carbon issues. Marvel doesn't create carbon. What it did perhaps, is clean out the fuel system. Marvel, in what it does, help's protect top cylinders & fuel system... I add about 1/3 of a quart in my truck 1999 F150 with over 214,000 miles. People forget this; we use to have Leaded Fuel until 1975. Engines at the time with Unleaded Fuel were having issues because Lead in Fuel acted like lubricant. I had a 1969 Ford Mustang until the yr of 2000 but it had over 253,000 miles on it. And Marvel was its lead substitute protected the top of the motor.

If it was quarter tank that would be 4 gallons per tank ratio. However, nothing catastrophic happened. I think that made the plugs oily looking and weirdly fouled. Run that tank and then fill up. Anyway I added 16 oz of it to my tank in my Charger when I filled up the tank with right under 18 gallons of gas. After everything I've been reading online I'm super nervous it's gonna damage something. Wanted to ask you what happened with yours after adding a whole bottle by accident. • @KarzKreated
      @KarzKreated  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's said to be better if you do it before an oil change. The reason why is because the cleaner will dissolve carbon build up and that will make it's way into the oil. Using a cleaner after a fresh Oil change will likely cause the oil to darken much quicker. Not to say it would ruin the oil, but it's better to do it before an oil change for that reason.

Since it has a 30 gallon gas tank, I added two cans of Berrymans at my last fill up. It's too soon to tell what benefits it will do, but I was wondering how often you use it.

If it's really true it was probably running so lean and hotter and oily substance burned tight off from the sparkplugs. I over treated once with seafoam+mmo but that was not even close to 1 gallon lol and I found my sparkplugs were oily after 350 miles.
