Playthrough of a 2014 (2009 originally?) romhack made by Yoshi Master. From the hack's description on SMW Central: "What if Nintendo had stuck with some of their original material while creating the Super Mario World we know and love today? Well, this hack is my take on how it may have been! This hack is based and inspired by all of the pre-release screenshots, unused materials, ancient interviews, and some minor assumptions revolving around Super Mario World, and it's creation. Most of the GFX were made by me, as well as the levels themselves. The bosses also each have something "beta" about them. Have fun!" I love Beta64! This isn't an official build, this is a take on what the beta may have been like by a user named Yoshi Master on SMW Central. Emulators continue to out-do ZSNES many time over the past couple of decades. But every single time, their UI looks liks ass in comparison. First five seconds of this video just hurt to look at.
I like that this is just playthrough of a fun Mario game by a normal person. Like, someone came home from work and did this. That's cool. It's not some no-life loser speedrunning from his mother's basement.

Would be really cool if we got an update, like with all the new recent info
1:27 that message would make nintendo go bankrupt 💀
I am surprised Beta 64 didn't mention the existence of a playable 1989 build of SMW1.

@@AnkisethTheMonk Thanks, man. I'll be sure to give it a try on my Super Nintendo emulator.
better looking characters and play than the original
Now We Need A TAS Of This
This comment got me to go search for a TAS but I don't think one exists unfortunately. A TAS would be neat to see!
I hope there is a chocolate world in it.
Awesome!
Who here has seen that giga leak on Twitter
This is something ro be amazed
I wonder if beta64 has seen this
Most of this was inspired by Beta64, I’m guessing.

@@iamvinny worth while comment, equally as valuable as this comment. Which is to say not at all.

This is fake cuz of tower victory was still the v sign
yeah, maybe, it isn't that accurate, because, IT ISN'T THE ACTUAL 1989 BUILD, OLIVER.
Yea. Read the title. This is a ROM HACK. Not an official prototype.
