This episode is all about relapse in the context of eating disorder recovery. We cover topics such as shame, self-awareness, boundaries, dopamine regulation, catastrophization, and the impact of life circumstances on relapse.
Relapses can be very distressing; it's tempting to think we've failed or that we'll "never really get better." In the second half of this episode, we talk about the idea of "remembering and forgetting" as a muscle that actually builds resilience over time in eating disorder recovery -- even if the "forgetting" is relapsing.
Do you recognize how much you are helping others
You are a lighthouse 😊

I started meeting with a dietician and on days that I don’t see her, y’all help me so much. God bless you both 😊❤

Thank you two so much.
Brilliant! My doctor has referred me to slimming world, I’ve put on more weight since I’ve joined through lapses, but overall am eating healthier. This podcast has made me rethink why I’m going and it’s recovery, to help me recover rather than to suddenly lose the 4 stone I’ve put on in 4 years
This is extremely helpful food for thought while I try to figure out how my recent 5 weeks long relapse came about…thank you lots and lots, dear ladies!
Thank you so much, ladies! I wish I had therapists like you growing up. Please keep making videos.
