  • Lori and Matt share about their testimony in dealing with the numerous health problems that Lori has faced. The worst was in the summer of 2020 when Lori was unable to digest any food and became extremely malnourished. It was at this point where the Lord gave Lori the answers that put the pieces together and set her on the road to recovery.

    Okay please pray for me. I am overweight but not horribly obese or anything... Chubby. Anyway I DEF obsess over food and have food addiction problems. Seriously I've never even heard of this before and truly want to be delivered of this bondage! I think about food and health soooo much guys! It's NOT okay! When I met my husband 12 years ago I was a size 6 and 5'8" and just FINALLY wasn't struggling with my weight u know? A few years prior to us meeting I was introduced to the 7th day Adventist health message and just took to it like a duck to water. I was mainly vegan and didn't do a lot of sugar but occasionally indulged u know? I also ate clean fish and eggs occasionally too and just really LOVED food and loved I could eat allot with zero weight gain actually LOST weight eating like this! Anyway I met my husband and long story short just went back to eating junk that I had cut out and lost my health and my kids were sick all the time and my son became a type 1 diabetic at 14 - he's 17 now. I'm 40 now and REALLY in despair. I have really been beyond horrible to my husband who I've blamed for this for YEARS guys. I'm def no saint or perfect wife. I need to forgive him AND myself for all these bad choices and just get back to enjoying life and enjoying foods that God gave us to enjoy without constantly analyzing every little detail. I know a lady named Joy who's also fanatical about health. She's been doing coffee enemas daily for YEARS. She's 80 yrs old. I'm going to send her this video so please pray for her too. She really hates me telling her anything about health. She really believes she knows so much more than anyone else that she's difficult to talk to - I think she's been SDA all her life. My husband is SDA too and most in this legalistic religion are just on such a pedestal you can't get them to see ANYTHING they might be doing wrong! I'm sorry I don't mean to slam on them it's just been soooo discouraging! I've lost sooo much from them but gained such valuable things too. I need to forgive the SDA people and MOVE ON. It's hard when my husband is still one of them! I'm just really really needing prayer. I'm hesitant to send this but the Lord is really impressing me to send it to Joy. Please please please pray for us okay? I know that's a HUGE part of this. There are NO coincidences guys. A friend sent me one of your videos on the Trinity vs. 3 Angels Message cuz we're studying the false doctrine of the "Trinity" right? Anyway it's Sabbath and I thought I'd just peruse your channel and I came across this video! I mean what are the odds folks??? Guess what!? Yeshua STILL heals on The Sabbath!!! Isn't that AMAZING! Thank you guys so much for doing this! I'm almost in tears I'm so RELIEVED!!! All praises to The Most High Almighty Self Existent One! The Great I AM God of Abraham Isaac and Israel. He is sooo Good!!! Bless you both so much. I'm just actually looking forward to the rest of my life maybe for the first time in my life. My husband and I have struggled and had the WORST marriage I've ever thought possible... please please really pray for us okay? Giovanni and Angie. Thank you... 🙏🙌☝️💙😇🕊🥰
    P.S. praise God for spouses who are willing to go through the rigors with each other. My husband has never supported my diet or tried to help me be healthy. Romans 14 makes me cry to this day. He's addicted to food too but won't admit it. I want to be healthy again. It felt so GREAT! But I can't make it an idol either... Yeshua please help me. Please be near... 🙏🕊🙏

    Here's a high five for both of you!! I went through it myself, and I too have identified that probably more than a decade of my life was spent eating not enough calories. But now, it's time to shine and give God the glory! I could share so much more, but suffice it to say that God has redeemed me too from many a curse and by His grace I will praise Him throughout eternity for His mercy towards me :-)

    Man I can't tell you how many times I've seen "present truth sdas" with this problem.. And ironically many of them are "medical missionaries" Even now when I hear someone is a "medical missionary" I naturally step back from them. People even in the world generally really believe that skinny = health. I find the same true about "dress reform" God is calling for balance.. But balance is difficult for most people! I think this is the only testimony I've seen to date about this issue! Thanks for being so honest!

    Praise God that you were able to share this story. He has amazing ways of coming through for us when no one else seems to be able to help. I was experiencing similar patterns of thought when I was a teenager. I wanted to be zealous about health for God, but I didn’t understand enough about how the body works. I was thin and it felt good not to eat. Praise God I had wise parents who made me think about what I was doing and with prayer God revealed to me the text that says, “The kingdom of God is not in eating and drinking but in righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.” Romans 14:17. I realized that I was trying to feel better about myself by the way I ate, but God has a bigger mission for us than that. His ways are ways of pleasantness, not self torture. He gives us information on health, but that is not to absorb every part of our lives. I work in the field of nutrition today as I still see it as a very impactful part of our lives, but it is not my main focus in life. God is good.

    Wow, praise God that she could find health again. Thank you for posting this testimony, have known quite a number of people in the SDA church who have struggled with this type of disorder. I like the counsel of 1 Timonty 4 in the KJV,
    Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
    2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
    3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
    4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
    5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

    Thank you so much for sharing your story! I am so thankful for your deliverance! I have not gone through this myself, but can now recognize that some of my thoughts about foods have been dangerous! I am thankful to be able to share your story with friends and family who may be experiencing this. Thank you and God bless!!! (My Husband Edwin Davidson remembers you, Lori, from Southern. Small world! 😃)

    As a licensed mental health professional and a Christian, I also want to encourage people to seek professional help for eating disorders. This is a really cool testimony and I'm glad that Lori was led spiritually to this conclusion, but a combination of prayer and mental health professionals can help diagnose and treat this before it becomes so extreme. There's many people that could be helped sooner than this if they seek mental health treatment. Thoughts related to eating disorders rarely go away on their own and they take guided help to change over time. They are embedded deep and go beyond just food choices. Prayer and engaging with the fellow helpers that God gave you can make a big difference. Many of us got into this profession because God led us to learn how to care for the minds of others just like God led doctors to learn how to care for bodies. Use that to your advantage!

      I agree. The thing is Dr.'s constantly want to put people on medications for issues that don't need meds. If she would have went to a physiologist they would've tried to put her on some meds instead of trying to actually help her.

      I appreciate the testimony in the video very much but do not agree that people (especially Christians) need to go to a licensed "mental health professional." The field of psychology and psychiatry are a plague to society and the church. Psychology is a pseudoscience and is filled with ideas that contradict the Word of God. Psychology is not the answer the world needs. We need Jesus Christ and the Holy Bible and faith in His Word. The Bible contains everything we need for a life of Godliness. If someone is sick with real illness then they are better off seeing a real physician (one who believes in Jesus) and utilizes natural medicine in accordance with God's principles. Believers do not need to see a so-called "mental health professional," no matter how good their intentions, because their license is not from heaven (neither are their ideas about "self"). Moreover, they are not true health care practitioners trained to treat real disease who understand basic pathophysiology with the different systems of the body. Yes, the mind can influence health outcomes and what we put into our bodies can equally influence the mind. Notwithstanding, the idea that psychology is comparable to fields such as physics, chemistry, or biology when it comes to "science" or containing predicability and measurable outcomes is simply not the case. Psychology is a field of pretense with boasted insights in matters that are metaphysical. It is written in Jeremiah 17:9: "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?" Dear reader, here is the problem: the field of psychology with its paraprofessionals think they can answer in the affirmative to Jehovah's question regarding the mind in Jeremiah 17:9. As such, they are pretenders or modern day soothsayers who would have you trust in men/women instead of Jesus Christ. Spiritualism always seeks to act like it is in harmony with the doctrines of Christ when in fact, it is intended to deceive (combining darkness with light). Jesus is the "wonderful counselor" and His ministry never involved the pretense of being a "mental health expert" while pretending to know the secrets of the mind (like mystery religions of old). To be clear, Jesus (unlike so-called "mental health experts") actually did know the heart/mind. However, He did not train any of His disciples to pretend insights into matters not revealed. None of the apostles needed Sigmund Freud or Abraham Maslow or any of these atheists with their theories about "self." These sciences of the mind have not been established by God but come from the abyss. Nobody needs to believe me anymore than they ought to place belief in so-called "mental health professionals." However, anyone who claims to believe in the Bible should take any idea, theory, or "expert" claims about the mind/soul and see if it passes the test (Isaiah 8:20).

      @@listeninghope4968psychologists actually can't prescribe meds. Only doctors and psychiatrists are able to do this. Psychologists, licensed social workers, etc. are not prescribing practitioners. Good therapists are supportive of your mental health journey without meds.

    1 Timothy 4:3
    "Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth."
    The word "meat" translates to "food"
    Although this verse can apply to catholic priests ( because they don't get married and don't eat fish on Friday etc) I think it can actually also apply to God's people!
    Matt said he needed Lori in his life for discipline, I think Lori needed Matt to relax more! Thank God for helping us balance!
    My husband just said something so deep.. He said, what do you do when trying to "balance" (you get your arms wide and your legs together) what kind of position would you make to imitate the cross? 😀
    I will be sharing the video! Blessings 😊

    If you as a husband can’t see her severe weight loss that you show you she’s a fanatic or compulsive behavior in doing all those cleanses! I know people who over do it they become fanatics. Just going on a plant based diet is good enough. Just get rid of milk, cheese, meat! And processed foods! And most of all the problems are mental!
